SELCO MINING CORPORATION LIMITED Group l, Grid A - Bee Lake Area INTRODUCTION^ A programme of magnetic surveying was carried out during September, 1972 on Group l, Grid A in the Bee Lake Area. The grid lies about one mile north of Anderson Lake and about one mile west of Bee Lake. Bee Lake is about 70 miles north-northwest of Kenora, Access is by float or ski-plane. The claims covered by this survey are K and K They are found on claim map M 2194 in the Kenora Mining Division of Ontario. The grid consists of lines which were cut/ chained and picketed every 100 feet. Lines lie in a north-northeast direction. The interval between lines is 400 feet. In all, 1.5 line miles of lines were cut on this grid, GENERAL': The magnetic survey was carried out using a McPhar M-70Q fluxgate magnetometer. This magnetometer detects the vertical component of the earth's magnetic field to an accuracy of 10 gammas. Diurnal variations were controlled using the looping around technique using a base station on the baseline as control. In this procedure, the operator describes a loop in effect by reading a base station on a line at a baseline, taking readings along that line to the end, crossing to the next line, reading along that line to the opposite end, returning to the first line and reading back to the base station. Corrections are made in time on the intervening data on any changes occurring at the baseline reading. The operator then proceeds directly to the next line to be read and repeats the procedure. continued...
2 All magnetic readings were taken on a 50 foot interval. In all 1,1 line miles of magnetic surveying were carried out. DETAIL^ The magnetometer survey has revealed a narrow magnetic feature lying along and near the baseline. The source of the anomaly is not normally polarized so that negative responses dominate. A narrow bedrock formation containing pyrrhotite or magnetite is presumed to be the source. Two other isolated highs south of the baseline may be of bedrock origin but are too small to be of economic interest. CONCLUSIONS: Reference would need to be made to an electromagnetic survey to see if the major magnetic anomaly is a conductor. If so, it could become a target for drilling as reflecting a possible economic source. LERtbks Laurie E. Reed Chief Geophysicist October 17th, 1973

SELCO MINING CORPORATION LIMITED REPORT OF THE MAGNETOMETER SURVEY GROUP 3, BEE LAKE AREA, KENORA MINING DIVISION, ONTARIO INTRODUCTION A programme of magnetic surveying was carried out during September 1972 on group 3 in the Bee Lake area. The group lies just northeast of Bee Lake which is about 70 miles north-northwest of Kenora, Ontario. Access is by float or ski-plane. The claims covered by this survey are K348289, K348290, K and K They, are found on claim map M-2194 in the Kenora Mining Division of Ontario. The grids consist of lines which were cut, chained 'and picketed every 100 feet. Lines have been run on two separate grids which are tied together along one of the base lines. The interval between lines is 400 feet. GENERAL The magnetic survey was carried out using a M-700 fluxgate magnetometer. This magnetometer detects the vertical component of the earth's magnetic field to an accur acy of 10 gammas. Diurnal variations were controlled using the looping around technique using base stations on the base lines as control. In this procedure the operator describes a loop in effect by reading a base station on a line at a base line, taking readings along that line to the end, crossing to the next line, reading along that line to the opposite end, returning to the first line and reading back to the base station, Corrections are made in time on the intervening data on any changes occurring at the baseline reading. The operator then proceeds directly to the next line to be read and repeats the procedure.
2 Magnetic readings were taken on a 100 foot interval with closures to 50 feet in areas of magnetic activity on the westerly grid while on the easterly grid readings were taken at a 50 foot interval. In all 1.0 line miles of sur veying were read on the westerly grid (claims K and K348290) and 0.6 line miles were read on the easterly grid (claims K and K348402). DETAIL The magnetic response on the westerly grid shows two confined but broad anomalies, 500 to 600 gammas above background. These and other more subdued highs and lows may reflect local lithology rather than magnetic mineral concentrations. The narrow feature off the claims to the south is more suggestive of a concentration of magnetite or pyrrhotite in a narrow horizon. On the easterly grid, two strong magnetic highs suggesting concentrations of magnetite or pyrrhotite along narrow horizons are observed. CONCLUSIONS While certain magnetic features here have been suggestive of possible economic sources, reference to an electromagnetic survey of the grids is required for full evaluation of the economic potential. 11 - 2 - All magnetic readings were taken on a 50 foot interval, In all 1,0 line miles on Grid A and 1.5 line miles on Grid B were surveyed. DETAIL^ Strong magnetic features of several thousand gammas are evident on both grids with anomalies suggesting narrow sources of either magnetite or pyrrhotite. The west-northwest trend of the rocks is evident from both the anomalous high responses and the level responses. Level magnetics are observed south of the baseline on Grid A and north of the baseline on Grid B reflecting rocks of uni form composition in these areas. CONCLUSIONS: Strong narrow magnetic highs may be caused by pyrrhotite or magnetite which may reflect the presence of economic sulphides. Reference needs to be made to an electromagnetic survey which would identify conductive sulphides which may be economic. LER:bks Laurie E. Reed Chief Geophysicist October 17th, 1973

SELCO MINING CORPORATION LIMITED REPORT OF THE MAGNETOMETER SURVEY GROUP 5, BEE LAKE AREA, KENORA MINING DIVISION, ONTARIO INTRODUCTION A programme of magnetic surveying was carried out during September 1972 on group 5 in the Bee Lake Area. The grid lies between Eden Lake, Chase Lake and Eagle Lake. Eagle Lake is about 70 miles north-northwest of Kenora. Access is by float or ski-plane. The claim covered by this survey is K It is found on claim map M-2461, Eagle Lake, in the Kenora Mining Division of Ontario. The grid consists of lines which were cut, chained and picketed every 100 feet. Lines are generally in a,northnortheast direction. The interval between lines is 400 feet. GENERAL The magnetic survey was carried out using a McPftar M-700 fluxgate magnetometer. This magnetometer detects the vertical component of the earth's magnetic field to an accuracy of 10 gammas. Diurnal variations were controlled using the looping around technique using a base station on the baseline as control. In this procedure the operator describes a loop in effect by reading a base station on a line at a baseline, taking readings along that line to the end, crossing to the next line, reading along that line to the opposite end, returning to the first line and reading back to the base station. Corrections are made in time on the intervening data on any changes occurring at the base line reading. The operator then proceeds directly to the next line to be read and repeats the procedure.
- 2 - All magnetic readings were taken on a 50 foot interval. In all 0.54 line miles of magnetic surveying were carried out. DETAIL Magnetic activity both above and below the local background is observed along the baseline. Anomalies exhibit amplitudes of over 1600 gammas. Apparently shallow narrow magnetic sources (possibly pyrrhotite) lie near the baseline in a west-northwest direction. CONCLUSIONS Given a magnetic source of possible pyrrhotite origin reference would need to be made to an electromagnetic survey to determine if a possible economic target exists here.
