Gentlemen: Your Company recently conducted a combined magneticelectromagnetic survey over a ten claim group situated in the Burntbush River Area of Northeastern Ontario. Results indicate a flat-lying conductor in the north east portion of the property. PROPERTY. LOCATION. ACCESS; Ten claims, 400 acres in all, form the property and are recorded as follows: L ; L ; L , and L.98482, all inclusive. l" is* Sri-* The property is located in the Burntbush River Area approximately 25 miles north of Lake Abitibi, or some 75 miles north of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, in the southwest quadrant of Newman Township, Larder Lake Mining Division. Aircraft from La Sarre to a small lake one mile west of the property is the best mode of access. CONSULTANTS LIMITED.

2 - 2 - GEOLOGY; Regionally, the property is located on the western limits of an extensive belt of greenstones which project westward from Chibougamau mining areas, through Mattagami Lake mining i camps and into the Burntbush River area of Ontario. O.D.M. Map P.3?3f Burntbush.River Area, indicates that the geology underlying the property consists essentially of metasedimentary rocks composed of greywacke, arkose, quartzite, and iron formation trending in a northwest direction. Diabase dikes of Keweenawan age exist in the area and may be present on the claim group. Aeromagnetic Map No. 2357G shows a very highly intensive magnetic band trending northwest running through the centre of the property. Source of this zone is likely iron formation of doubtful economic significance, with contributing basic rocks. Sulphide.mineralization can be associated with the iron formation.. SURVEY METHOD AND INSTRUMENT DATA; A south to north base control line was out through the centre of the claim group and crosslines at 200 ft. spaolngs were cut, chained, and picketed to west and east property limits. A 200 ft. coil separation was employed between transmitter! and receiver stations utilizing the "parallel line method" where the transmitter operator moves simultaneously with the receiver GEO.SURVEYS CONSULTANTS LIMITED - -.

3 - 3 - operator for each station reading along parallel lines. were established each 100 ft. Stations The recordings of the dip angle of the primary field ere plotted in profile at their respective stations. Conductive zones occur at crossovers where the profile records, a change from positive to negative angles le. from north to south of line. Flat-lying conductors in this type of survey are indicated by "monocline" profiles. A Sharpe SE-200, Mk. 11 electromagnetic unit, serial No.?03115i was employed in the reconnaissance survey using a frequencey of 1250 C.P.S. A Sharpe M.F.-l Fluxgate magnetometer, serial No/ , was used to measure the vertical coinponant of the earth's magnetic field in gammas. Base stations for determining magnetic diurnal variations were established at 400 ft. intervals along the base line. Approximately 644 stations were established in the 12.2 mile survey. GEOPHYSICAL RESULTS AND INTERPRETATION; A study of the magnetic results shows that background is in the order of about 1050 gammas. Relief is very high, with peak value being 31,412 gammas. 4 buildup trending northwest through the centre of the property with average value in the order of gammas along the peak of the zone. This magnetic anomaly, some 5i600 ft. long (assuming continuity through an area not magnetically covered) corresponds directly with the high aeromagnetic anomaly and would therefore a be caused by iron formation (magnetite) intercalated with meta sediment s. A second zone of magnetic buildup, not shown aero- magnet ically, is located some 800 ft. south of the above noted zone in the central and western portion of the claim group and is parallel to the first noted zone. Peak value is 10,060 gammas, with average peak values of about gammas, or about seven times background. It is concluded that this zone is caused also by magnetite of lesser concentration than the ad Ja6ent zona. No diabase dikes or. faulting is indicated by the isomagnetic trends. A substantial zone of indicated electromagnetic conductivity is represented, in the northeast part of the property along the central eastern portion of claim L.98^59. This zone is indicated as being flat-lying as a "monocline" profile and not ' a "crossover" profile was encountered. ' s* The electromagnetic anomaly is some 1,000 ft. long and i is parallel to, and some 500 ft. southwest of the axis of an anomalous "condition existing on the neighbouring Kelly-K property. It is possible the two zones may actually be a single body with the flattened portion of the zone on the Tripoint property.. j the survey. 5 - 5 - CONCLUSIONS; A combined magnetic-electromagnetic survey re^ntly" '' ' '. -.'.. ', ~- - v: '.'V - completed over the Burntbush River Area property of Trlfcolnt Mines Ltd. in Newman Township shows two parallel zones of magnetic buildup occurring in the central portion of the property trending in a direction northwest and one zone corresponds to that depicted on the appropriate aeromagnetic sheet. This latter zone is some 5t600 t ft. J.n length^ J hundred feet wide, and has an average intensity of about" gammas or about 14 times background strength. The zone is - *t's interpreted as being iron formation with doubtful economic,,,^, ir '.i importance. "! pr' 1 ' The parallel zone of magnetic buildup is located : - -. :, ; /v : ; - '.' '*;i:'-; : :- ft. in a southwest direction from the above noted zone, and is situated in the central and western portions of the claim group. Average value is 7,000 gammas or about seven times background 1 * :. ' ' strength. This zone is similarly interpreted; as being caused by magnetic iron formation with apparently no economic importance. A 1,000 ft. long, northwest trending, apparently flat- lying electromagnetic conductor was recorded in" the northeast part of the claim group and may be an extension of a similar zone on the adjacent Kelly-K property some 500 ft. distance. 6 . 6 - RECOMMENDATIONS; ' A 500 ft. long drill hole will test the indicated conductor. This hole will be collared at o coordin- ( ' ates 26+OON, 10+OOE, have a bearing of 50 Azimuth, and a dip of -^5*. In the interests of economy, this program will be done concurrent with the recommended Kelly-K drill program, and costs should not exceed ftlovoo per foot, all inclusive of air transportation and road building, for a total cost of Further work would be contingent upon the results of the above noted program.
