6 -2- The Chili property was staked by NECL on July 1, 1982 and recorded on July 8, 1982 (20 units; Record No.4347(7)). The property is wholly owned and operated by NECL. Geology and Previous Work A description of the geology and previous work (Nebocat, 1983) follows. The Chili claim lies on GSC Map 1202A - Anahim Lake, N.T.S. 93C, Tipper, The bulk of the area north and west of the claim is underlain by Early Tertiary Ootsa Lake Group volcanics ranging from rhyolite to basalt in composition. These rocks unconformably overlie rocks belong to the Mid-Jurassic Hazelton Group which occur in the claim area and to the south and south-west of it. The Hazelton Group rocks consist primarily of intermediate to mafic volcanic flows, breccias and tuffs and lesser waterlain tuffs and sediments. A major fault is mapped 35km northwest of the claim and follows the Chilcotin River in a southeasterly direction. The fault is shown separating Hazelton and Ootsa Group rocks. It is postulated that this fault is a continuation of the Chilcotin Fault, a splay from the Fraser Fault System, and that it passes near the Chili claim, possibly just north of it. With the exception of a few areas on the grid, outcrops are sparse and small and therefore structural information is scant. The topography is very gentle, with the claim lying at the west of a hill, steepening slightly on the flanks in all directions. The maximum relief on the grid is in the order of 50m and on the claims approximately 135m, ranging from 1040m elevation at the LCP to 1177m ASL at the crest.

7 -3- The hill on which the claims lie was glaciated by an ice sheet moving northeasterly and very little overburden exists near the crest. Overburden thickens gradually in all directions away from the crest and may reach several metres in depth. No buttes or cliffs of outcrop exist on the claim. The most abundant rock type observed on the claim is a green auto-brecciated volcanic, and lesser amounts of agglomerate and pyroxene/hornblende porphyritic flows. These rocks are probably all of andesitic composition. A thin unit of polymictic conglomerate intercalated with the breccia is seen in a road cut between L 00 and L 100 W, and minor argillite interbeds were seen in a trench. The degree of alteration suggests that these rocks are older than the Tertiary age Ootsa rocks seen north from here, and that these rocks probably belong to the Mid-Jurassic Hazelton Group. The rocks are mapped as three separate units based on degree and type of alteration. Between August 3, 1982 and June 30, 1983, 11 linekilometers of grid were cut and picketed. Crosslines were located every 100m and stations were placed every 25m. The grid was located for a soil-sampling survey and as a guide for geologic mapping. Three hundred and ninety-eight soil samples were taken on the grid and 89 rock samples were taken from 2 trenches and 53 of 67 pits dug by a backhoe in Nineteen overburden samples were taken to the northeast both on and off the claim. These samples were taken at a 500m spacing over 5 lines spaced 500m apart. Geologic mapping was done at a scale of 1:lOOO

8 -4- Geophysical Coverage - Fig 2 The grid lines were read with three geophysical methods as described below. (i) Magnetic Survey A Geometric G 816 proton precession magnetometer was used in taking 782 mag readings over IOkm. Read i ngs wer e corrected to base line readings, which had been established. The readings are written and contoured on the "Ground Magnetometer Survey" map. (ii) VLF Dip Angle Survey The dip angle survey shows 785 readings over the 10km of grid. The Cutler, Maine VLF station is the transmitter. The Geonics EM16 instrument was used, and readings pointing to a conductor to the south are plotted on the right side of line, with north pointing readings on the left. Data are on the "VLF Dip Angle Survey" map. (iii) VLF Resistivity Survey VLF resistivity readings are taken with the Geonics EMlGR, using the Seattle, Washington transmitting station. There were 785 readings over the 10km of line. Results are plotted and contoured on the "VLFR Resistivity Survey" map. Results and Interpretation The results from the surveys are plotted lfcompilation of Geophysical Results" map. on the The VLF dip angle survey shows several conductor axes. As expected, these generally have the 100' azimuth that is the bearing to NAA-Cutler Maine - the VLF transmitting station. A geological explanation is not available, although fractures and shears oriented at 100' are expected as the cause of the conductors.

9 -5- The magnetic survey exhibits a generally increasing magnetic field from south to north. A magnetically high unit can be traced from 150N/400W to 300N/100W. Possibly, a flat lying basaltic dyke is the cause, but further geological work will be needed to confirm. Another distinctive magnetic feature trends from 400E/150N to 700E/75N. There is no outcrop to explain the magnetic high. The VLF resistivity survey will, in general, produce results that relate inversely to the porosity and permeability of the surrounding rocks. Lower porosity and permeability, such as in regions of silicification, produce higher resistivities. In the central portion of the grid we define a large (3OOm x ) region of higher resistivities, which corresponds roughly to the mapped quartz sericite altered andesites. Smaller areas of high resistivities are found elsewhere on the grid, but these are not explained. Conclusions and Recommendations The most significant feature for mineral exploration is the large higher resistivity zone in the centre of the grid. If the claim were considered to have economic potential, this would be the region to explore. The magnetic highs are possibly basaltic dykes. magnetic map does not offer other interpretation help. The

LIMION STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIOHS I, Heikki Limion, received my B.A.Sc degree in Engineering Science (Geophysics Option) from the University of Toronto in I spent two summers in geophysical field work; one with Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas, and one with INCo exploration. In I worked for one year with Hudson's Bay Oil & Gas as a Junior Geophysicist in seismic field work. From I worked with INCo Exploration, on ground and airborne geophysical surveys. I was in charge of airborne geophysical operations for four years, and worked on research and development of airborne geophysical systems. I conducted ground geophysical surveys in Canada, U.S.A., and Brazil. In 1977 arid 1978 I was the head of the geophysics sections in the Kenya Department of Mines and Geology. During this time, I was under contract to CIDA (the Canadian International Development Agency). Since the beginning of 1979, I have held the position of Chief Geophysicist of Newmont Exploration of Canada Limited. I am a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, and the Prospectors and Developers Association.
