3 a LOCATION AND ACCESS: The property is located in the Fort Steele Mining District of south-central British Columbia, ( N.T.S. 82 G/lZ,Cranbrook Map Sheet), on the south-west flank of Lone Peak. Access to the property is via Highvays # , east and north from Cranbrook - a distance of 10 kilometers to Highways 3693, east and north to the Wardner, Forth Steele Road to Mause Creek Road - a distance of 2.5 kilometers; thence via the Mause Creek Road to Boulder Creek Road - a distance of 2.5 kilometers, thence via the Boulder Creek Road to the property - a distance of 3 kilometers. HI STORY : The property was owned and worked on during 1961 through 1963 by a consortium of consulting geologists from Calgary, Alta. Work at that time consisted of trenching, mapping, and a seismic-magnetometer survey which was carried out during the summer of This was followed up by at least 5 overburden holes being drilled in the summer of Brian Kostiuk staked the property in 1988, dug 2 test pits and drilled an overburden hole to bedrock ( B.K. 89 ) in an attempt to assess the economic potential of the property.

5 The entire property is underlain by the Creston formation..a sequence of argillites and quartzites that range in colour from grey-green to vhite. Much of the formation is altered to a grey-green serecite schist. Minor outcrops at lover elevations of Aldridge foraation vere also noted. These vere also altered to green schist in sectlons. At tvo separate locations intrusive mafic dioritic sills vere noted. The Strike of all beds vithin both the Creston and Aldridge Formations is virtually east-vest vith dips ranging frpm 25 to 50 degrees to the north. The area of interest vithin the properties lies entirely in the auriferous gravels above bedrock. These gravels, although somevhat sorted,in sections,- are for the most part random and consist mainly of Creston and Aldridge argillites and quartzites vlth abundant chert boulders in the upper sections. Also included are mtnor diorite boulders. The lover 30 plus feet of gravel material appears to be vell compacted and somevhat calcified vith mlnor silicification. Sequencial clay layers vith abundant sulphided consisting mainly of pyrite vere noted throughout the section. These layers, vhere sampled, displayed auriferous values.

6 5 WORK DONE TO DATE: During the spring and summer of 1990, a total of 6 holes, for a combined footage of 784 feet overburden drilling, vas completed on the property. A total of 221 samples from the 6 holes vere processed and analysed. The drill collar locations and elevations of all holes vere surveyed. Longitudinal and vertical sections vere draughted from the survey data.ffigure 4) All concentrates panned from all holes, including concentrate from B.K. 09, vere sent to Acme Analytical Laboratories for 30 element geochemical analysis. B.K. B2 displayed an anomlous cobalt value vhile all other concentrates showed nothing significant.(appendix 1V) One rock sample vas sent to Acme Analytlcal Laboratories Ltd. for geochemical analysis. Analysis verified that it was a mafic intrusive vith no significant anomalous values.(appendix 1V) One rock sample displaying breciating was sent to Vancouver Petrographics Ltd. for a petrographic analysis. The breciating noted in the hand specimen was in actual fact, relic plaqioclase which had been altered in place to massive calcite, and as such vas not anomalous. The mafic rock was classified as a chlorite-hydroblotltecalcite-sericite altered probable diorite.(appendix V)-

10 CONCLUSION: A total of 15 soil samples were taken on Placer Claim Karolin PC-101. These samples were sent to Acme Laboratories for a 30 element spectigraphic analysis, None of the samples displayed significant anomalous values to warrant further sampling in this vicinity. RECOMMENDATIONS: 4 I would not recommend any further soil sampling be carried out on the Karolin Placer Claim, X 101. Respectfully submitted, Br iaii Kost luk
