7 -4- INTRODUCTION During February 1987, a grid was cut on Claims No. TB and TB and VLF and magnetometer surveys were then conducted over the grid. 3.2 km. of line vere cut and surveyed.

8 -5- PROPERTY AND OWNERSHIP Claims No. TB and are 755C owned by Royal Oak Resources of Calgary, Alberta and 25*/. by Kelmet Resources, also of Calgary. The claims are two of a group of 21 contiguous claims which make up the Maylac Property. The other 19 claims are all patented and held by Royal Oak Resources. 9 -6- LOCATION AND ACCESS The property is located about six km. north of Geraldton, Ontario in Fulford Township and is easily accessible by road. The vest boundary of Claim No. TB lies about 100 metres east of Highway 584 which connects Geraldton vith Nakina. The claims are shown on Ontario Mineral Resources Claim Sheet G - 189, Alfred Lake.

10 -7- PREVIOUS WORK Gold was discovered in the area now covered by Claims TB and TB in During the period , Hutchison Lake Gold Mines sank a three compartment shaft to 250 ft. on the discovery and carried out a surface diamond drilling programme in the shaft area. In , Maylac Gold Mines devatered the shaft and deepened it to 450 ft. They also conducted a surface diamond drilling programme. In , Gulch Mines devatered the shaft and carried out some underground exploration, including diamond drilling and drifting. Camel Oil and Gas conducted VLF and magnetometer surveys over some of the claims nov held by Royal Oak Resources. In 1986, Royal Oak Resources conducted a VLF survey and geological mapping over the 19 patented claims to the west of TB and In February and March, 1987, Royal Oak Resources dewatered the Maylac shaft down to 270 ft. and conducted a programme of underground geological mapping and sampling of the first and second levels.

11 -a- REGIONAL AND PROPERTY GEOLOGY The area is underlain by Archaean age andesite and basalt, both pillow lavas and massive flows, with some intercalated felsic to intermediate ash tuffs, argillitic and graphitic sediments and a few carbonatized pyritic tuffs. The general strike of this suite of rocks is N 80* E - dips are very steep, usually 75* - 85*, and to the south in the Haylac shaft area while further to the west the rocks dip steeply to the north. This predominantly volcanic sequence is overlain to the north by an east-west trending belt of sediments, predominantly greywacke. A diabase dyke, which strikes at N 10* W and which intrudes the volcanics and sediments, outcrops in the eastern part of TB 14229, 400 metres to the NNW of TB Granitic intrusives outcrop several kilometres to the north in central and northern Fulford Township. No detailed geological mapping has been done on TB and TB but according to government geological maps, the claims are underlain by intermediate volcanics.

12 -9- MAGNETOMETER SURVEY A magnetometer survey was carried out over the grid using an EDA Omninag 350 Magnetometer. Readings vere taken along the survey lines at 12.5 metre intervals. A base station was established and frequent checks were made throughout the survey in order to monitor the diurnal variations in the earth's magnetic field. Throughout the survey, the maximum variation in the base station readings was no more than 12 nt. Suitable corrections vere applied to the actual readings. The corrected readings were then plotted on a map at a scale of 1:2500 and contoured. The main feature of the survey is a linear magnetic lov which strikes at N 10o W to N 15* W and which lies between lines 54E and 56E. Readings in the low area are down to 58,600 nt whereas outside the low, readings are relatively flat and vary from about 59,450 nt to 59,670 nt. The magnetic low is on strike with a diabase dyke which strikes at N 10* W. and which was encountered in drill holes and in outcrop east and southeast of the Maylac shaft. It is believed that the dyke partially occupies a major fault zone and that the magnetic low between lines 54E and 56E is an expression of this dyke/fault zone.

13 -10- VLF SURVEY A VLF survey, using a Geonics EH16, was carried out over the grid area. The station at Cutler, Maine served as transmitter for the survey. Readings were taken along the survey lines every 15 metres. Fraser filter corrections were applied to the readings and the data was plotted up on maps of 1:2500 scale. Five weak, two or three line conductive zones are recognized. All of the zones are very weak and probably represent shears in the rock or else are due to overburden effects. The strongest of the conductors, which strikes at 290" and occurs on lines 54E, 55E, and 56E, is associated with the magnetic low. The strongest response is on line 54E and 2 * 87 N. A second anomaly occurs on lines 53E and 54E at l * 95 N. The strike of this conductor is east-west which is conformable with the strike of the rocks in the area. The conductor is cut off to the east by the N 10" W trending fault (dyke?). A weak one line response also occurs on line 53E at 0 i- 70H. Two other very weak conductors both occur on lines 58E, 59E, and 60E - a northern one, which has an east-west strike, at about 2 * 60N and a southern one, which strikes at 72", occurs on line 53E at 0 * 55N and line 60E at l * 25N.

14 -11- CONCLUSIONS A major fault zone/dyke?, which strikes at N 10s W and is marked by a prominent magnetic low, lies in the central part of TB A weak VLF conductor, striking at 290", is associated with this fault zone.

15 -12- RECOMMENDATIONS At the time of writing this report, diamond drilling is about to take place on the Maylac property. Further work on TB and TB will depend very much upon the results of this programme and while no further work on the two claims is recommended at this time, the situation should be reviewed once the results of the drilling are known.
