3 MINOOLD RESOURCES INC. 1.0 INTRODUCTION A meter diamond drilling program in 3 holes was carried out in Township, Porcupine Mining Division to test ah airborne GEOTEM electromagnetic anomaly and a very weak ground Max- Min II anomaly. The strong airborne EM conductor was located on the ground at the south end of the property while the weak Max-Min II anomaly located on the Sims property immediately south of the common boundary between the and Sims properties was found by chance. The drill was mobilized to the property on October 25, 1990 and demobilized on November 5, Location The adjoining sims and properties are located within the Porcupine Mining Division, District of Cochrane, Ontario. The two properties combined consists of 24 claims, all of which are located in the south western corner of Township. The claim group is located on NTS map 42A/5 at latitude ' 00" and longitude ' 00". 1.2 Access Access to the property from Timmins is via highway 101 approximately 37.0 kilometres south west to the Little Star Lake turn off, then 3.0 kilometres north west along the Little Star Lake access road to Opishing Lake turn off. Along Opishing lake access road 3.2 kilometres south west to the drill road which leads due south to the property and the drilling sites. 1.3 Property Description The Sims property consists of 6 contiguous mining claims listed in Table I and shown in figure 2. These claims are held 1001 by Mr. William Sims of Timmins, Ontario. The Sims claims surround an old gold showing discovered in the 1920's. See figure 3. The property which adjoins the Sims property and consists of 18 contiguous mining claims held 100% by Precious Minerals Inc. are also listed in Table I and shown in figure 2. The claims were staked to cover an airborne EM anomaly found on the recently flown government sponsored airborne GEOTEM survey, Ontario Geological Survey 1988.

TABLE I CLAIM NUMBER PROPERTY STATUS TOWNSHIP P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P Sims Sims Sims Sims Sims Sims 1.4 Regional Geology The rocks underlying Township and immediate area consists of an Early Precambrian metavolcanic-metasedimentary supracrustal sequence assigned to the Abitibi Subprovince of the Superior Province. The supracrustal sequence has been folded into a series of tight east to northeast trending synforms and antiforms with concomitant axial planar shear zones and cross faulting. The sequence was also intruded by syn and post deformational felsic to intermediate stocks. The rock units of the Abitibi Subprovince were subdivided further into groups (MERQ-OGS 1983) which clearly indicate that the formations found on the properties are facies equivalent of the rock formations mapped in the Timmins area. The Upper Deloro and Porcupine Groups which underlie much of the area are described as follows:

Upper Deloro Group The Upper Deloro Group consists of a varied unit of calc-alkaline basalt, andesite and dacite flows intimately intercalated with their pyroclastic equivalent. The upper most formation is largely volcaniclastic and has a calc-alcaline dacite composition. Porcupine Group The Porcupine Group is predominantly a sedimentary unit consisting of minor fluviatile conglomerate at the top of the group, grading to a turbidite sequence containing greywacke, argillite, ironformation, bedded cherty tuff, graphite and pyrite at the base. More recent mapping by A. G. Choundry 1989 has better defined the rock types underlying the area. From his mapping it is clear that the rock formations of south western Township are predominantly vocaniclastics belonging to the Upper Deloro Group. Unfortunately his efforts failed to positively locate the western extension of the Destor Porcupine fault zone. Based on the displacement of the geological stratigraphy along the NNW and NS cross faults one can infer that the Destor Porcupine fault zone should cross Thorneloe through Denton and Townships in a west south west to east north east direction. The deformation zone is estimated to lie from O to 3 kilometers north of the contact between the intermediate to felsic intrusive stocks to the south and the volcanics-volcaniclastics to the north. The zone defined above is also the area where most of the known gold showing have been found to date. Based on the limited field observations done by the author and the work done by Noranda and Holinger it was possible to reinterpret A. G. Choundry's geology map for the immediate area around the claims. See Figure 3. A 600 meter thick basalt unit was found lying between predominantly intermediate tuffs to the north and the intrusive complex to the south. The basalt unit is strongly foliated and was consequently misidentified. This deformation zone is interpreted to be the western extension of the Porcupine Destor fault. 1.5 Previous Work Except for airborne surveys previous work on the properties is limited to extensive stripping and diamond drilling of the old Battleman Estate occurrence. The following is a brief list in chronological order of the work carried out and results.

6 MINOOLD RESOURCES INC. 4 1) 1920's 22 claims staked over the area known as the Moore group. Data from this period is very limited and include only a sketch map (1952 tracing of an original) showing sampling done on the veins at the number 2 post of claim P by Mr. Manette in 1929 and a 1934 sketch map prepared by W. H. Hansen showing the location of the claim group and the general geology. 2) Jobert Gold Mines Ltd. carried out extensive stripping, trenching, channel sampling and diamond drilling on the four key claims. During this program five quartz veins were found and sampled. The channel sampling results were very encouraging. Therefore a 9 hole diamond drilling program was carried out to test the veins at depth. The diamond drill logs and assay results from this drilling program are not available but the location of 9 drill holes is shown on their channel sampling map. 3) 1940's claims were acquired by Nixon-Battleman covering the area of the Moore gold showing. 4) 1946 Goldale Mines Limited option the Nixon-Battleman property to sample and diamond drill the gold showing. Five quartz veins were resampled with the following results. Two veins at post number 2 of claim P strike 42.5 and 49 0 east and dip steeply south. Three channel samples of the most southerly vein returned 15.1 gm/t over 2.13m, 16.1 gm/t over 0.76m and 28.8 gm/t over 1.22m. The channel samples were spaced and 6.10 meters apart. Only one channel sample was taken from the northern vein. It returned gm/t over 0.15m. Approximately 76 meters north east of post 2 of claim P three additional veins were found and sampled. These veins are along strike of the original gold showing and are probably part of the same deformation zone and quartz veining system. The veins strike from 60 to 850 east and dip steeply north west and south east. The northern vein was channel sampled at two locations 7.62 meters apart with the following results 0.34 gm/t over 0.76m and 4.46 gm/t over 0.37m. The central vein is exposed over a distance of 7.6 meters and was sampled at the east end where a 3 to 5 meter deep pit was put down on the vein. The sample returned 12.3 gm/t over l.22m. The south vein was sampled at the bottom of a caved in pit and the full width of the vein was not exposed. The sample assayed 24.0 gm/t over 0.21m. Another trench located approximately halfway between the two showings exposed a vein which returned gm/t over 0.30m Six diamond drill holes for a total length of meters were also put down across the full strike length of the exposed veining system. No significant results were obtained. 4) 1961 Holinger Mines Limited conducted a 5 hole diamond drill program totalling meters. The drill holes tested the north east and south west strike extensions of the deformation zone

7 MINOOLD RESOURCES INC. 5 hosting the known gold bearing quartz vein system. The drilling intersected the deformation zone but the assay results were not encouraging. 5) From 1983 to 1887 Noranda Inc. held a large block of claims to the east of the Nixon-Battleman showing which tied on to the showing. Mapping, sampling, and ground and airborne geophysical surveys were carried out during this period. No significant results were reported. 6) Hlava Expl. Serv. Ltd. carried out a ground magnetic, VLF and Max-min II EM surveys for Asarco Expl. on the 4 eastern claims of the property. 7) 1990 Trans-Cambrian Expl. Ltd. carried out a ground magnetic and VLF EM surveys on the 4 patented claims covering the Nixon- Battleman showing and 16 additional claims surrounding the four patents. 2.0 DISCUSSION 2.1 Diamond Drilling Program The original diamond drilling program was designed to test both the airborne GEOTEM EM conductor and the ground Max-Min II conductor with one diamond drill hole each. Because of technical problems one drill hole was abandoned and redrilled from the opposite direction. The drilling was done by N. Morrisette Canada Inc. from October 25 to November 5, 1990 using BQ size rods. 2.2 Results Diamond drill hole number LF-1-90 was successful in identifying the nature of the airborne GEOTEM and ground Max-Min II EM anomaly. The conductor was intersected at a depth of 68 meters at the exact location where the anomaly was projected to be. The anomaly consisted of semi massive pyrrhotite (501) plus pyrite (10%) forming the matrix of an intraformational conglomerate (breccia). The mineralized zone is sufficiently conductive to cause the observed anomaly. Assay results for Au, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn were disappointing with Cu and Zn returning anomalous values only. The remainder of the results returned background values. Diamond drill hole S-l-90 was abandoned in a sand filled fault at a depth of 81.4 meters before reaching its projected depth of 180 meters and explaining the anomaly. The first 51 meters of core from this hole was strongly oxidized. Assay results from this section of core returned values which were at the threshold of what is generally defined as anomalous (25 ppb). This may be due to the intense leaching of the rock which increased the background gold level.

8 MINGOLD RESOURCES INC. 6 Drill hole S-2-90 was drilled on the same anomaly but from the opposite direction. The hole intersected strongly foliated basalt with two strongly silicified and hematized zones with traces to 1/2X very fine grained disseminated pyrite. The Silicified zone within strongly foliated and oxidized basalt clearly explains the observed Max-Min II anomaly. Assay results for gold from the altered zone were very disappointing returning background results only. 3.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS The diamond drilling program has successfully identified the nature of both GEOTEM and Max-Min II EM anomalies. No further work is recommended on these anomalies. From the limited reinterpretation of the geology and the identification of a strong deformation zone, further work may be warranted. The full extent of the deformation zone south of Holinger drill hole K-1 should be investigated and tested by diamond drilling to identify possible auriferous alteration zones closer to the intrusive contact which was reinterpreted to be located much further south than shown on previous geology maps.
