2 REPORT ON GEOLOGICAL SURVEY EUROCAN VENTURES LTD BOOT BAY AREA PROPERTY LAC DES MILLES LACS AREA THUNDER BAY MINING DIVISION ONTARIO During Juy and August 1980, a geoogica mapping survey on a scae of inch to 200 feet was competed on the nine caim property of Eurocan Ventures Ltd, in the Boot Bay area, Thunder Bay Mining Division of Ontario. A pre-existing picket ine grid cut at 400 foot ine spacings was used for contro. Apart from rock outcropping aong the shores of a sma ake at the eastern end of the caim group, no outcrop was found within the caim group. However, two pieces of anguar pegmatite foat measuring approximatey 8 inches in diameter, containing considerabe moybdenite were found aong the ake shore as shown on the accompanying geoogica map, and it is conceivabe that the source underys the sma ake bordering the east end of the caim group.

3 2. PROPERTY The property consists of 9 contiguous unpatented caims covering approximatey 360 acres. These are registered with the Ontario Ministry of Natura Resources as foows :- Caim^No. TB TB TB TB TB TB TB TB TB ACCESS The caim group is ocated at the west end of Lac des Mies Lacs, about 70 mies west of Thunder Bay. Access is by grave road, eading south from highway 17, just east of the viage of Upsua to Lac des Mies Lacs and by boat to the property. The property had been covered by an eectromagnetic and magnetic survey during the winter of The group is amost entirey overburden covered, with ow

4 3. roing birch, popar, spruce and jackpine covered his. Lesser ader and cedar-spruce swamps occupy the ow ying areas. Outcrop is confined to sma rock exposures aong the shore of a sma ake at the east end of the caim group. GENERAL-GEOLOGY The nine caim group is underain mainy by wrchean granite which intrudes Archean metasediments. The few outcrops observed consisted of gneissic granite usuay aternating with mica schist bands. The strike was generay sighty north of east and a dips observed were steepy north. MINERALIZATION Apart from two pieces of pegmatite foat, we mineraized with moybdenite, which were found aong the shore of the ake at the east end of the group, no other mineraization was observed. A we defined magnetic anomay was outined by the magnetic survey which was carried out during the winter of There are no rock outcrops in the vicinity of the anomay and the bedrock source of the anomay coud not be determined by surface prospecting. RECOMMENDATIONS The shore ines of the ake at the west end of the group t, shoud be prospected up-ice to determin if the source of the
