INTRODUCTION A Geological survey was carried out over 6 Hearst Township, Ontario. claims in LOCATION, ACCESS AND OWNERSHIP The property is located in the south west corner of Hearst Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, District of Timiskaming, Ontario. The claims are numbered L and L to inclusive. They are recorded in the name of R.A. MacGregor, 28 Ford Street, c/o P.O. Box 1110, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Access to the property is by logging roads which leave Highway 624 just north of the Benson Creek bridge about 4 miles south of Larder Lake, Ontario. PREVIOUS EXPLORATION An airborne survey was flown over the claims in No other work is known to have been carried out although there are numerous pits and trenches on adjoining claims. TOPOGRAPHY The claims are characterized by low rocky hills between overburdened areas. A creek through the centre of the claims has been extensively flooded by beaver dams. A sand plain area to the north extends alomost south to the claims. SURVEY PROCEDURE A baseline was laid out and cut in 1987 crossing the northeast corner of the claims at approximately N65 0 W. Cross lines were cut at 400 foot intervals and picketed every 100 feet. Lines were traversed with outcrops noted as to rock type. Some samples were taken for future reference. Outcrop and rock type have been plotted on the enclosed plan.

3 l 2 COLEX EXPLORATIONS INC. PAGE NO. GEOLOGY The property is underlain by a volcanic sedimentary sequence of rocks of the Larder Lake group. Sediments are largely find grained greywackes in the south west part of the property. In the north and east part of the property there are mafic to ultramafic volcanics and volcanoclastic conglomerates. The con glomerates consist of elongated clasts with a sheared appearing matrix. Clasts are mafic to ultramafic volcanics with some felsic or chert clasts. Whole rock analysis on claims to the south-east shows clasts and matrix to have a mafic to ultramafic composition with similar chemistry for both clasts and the matrix. In the north east part there is a diorite intrusive into the volcano clastic conglomerate, although contacts were observed. The rock is fine grained dark pinkish in colour with fine hornblende needles in the matrix. One syenite porphyry dyke was also observed in the same area. A creek in a wide drift filled valley separates the greywacke on the south west from the volcanic and volcanoclastic rocks to the north and north-east. It may possibly represent a north west trending fault. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS The claims are underlain by a volcanic-sedimentary sequence of rocks of the Larder Lake group. Much of the area previously mapped as sedimentary conglomerates by Thomson appears to have a more volcanic affinity. It appears to be a sub-aqueous volcanic debris flow or volcanoclastic conglomerate. The finer grained greywackes may have also originated by the same process. The drift filled, possible fault zone should be checked for gold, but would require overburden drilling. Respectfully submitted June 10, 1991 R.A. MacGregor, P. Eng.
