j R. A. MACGREGOR, P.ENG. (p Introduction Keport on Magnetome' saowseesm SKEAD 010 Part of Lots 9 and li ^ua cuts s j. on j ana ** Township, Ontario /c" L Linecutting, followed by Magnetometer and VLF-EM surveys were carried out at various times between August, 1974 and January,1975 in parts of lots 9 to 11 Concessions 3 and 4, Skead Township, Ontario. The VLF-EM survey has not been completed. The results are shown on two sheets in the back pocket. Location, Access and Ownership The claims (24) are located in lots 9,10 and 11 Concession 4 and lot 11 Concession 3 Skead township, District of Temiskaming, Ontario. Claim numbers are L inclusive. The claims are recorded in the name of R.A. MacGregor, 134 Palace Drive, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Access is by old logging roads which lead from Highway 624 about 8 miles south of Larder Lake, Ontario. Previous Exploration Previous work has consisted of some pits, trenches and stripping for which no records could be found. Geology The property is underlain by a volcanic sequence of rocks, mostly 'mafic volcanics with narrow felsic volcanic bands. Through the central part of the claims lies a belt of ultramafic rocks, largely drift covered but traced by the magnetometer survey. In the north part the outline of the ultramafics is complex, but becomes a single wide band in the south. The east part of the claims is overlain by younger sedimentary rocks. Survey Procedure Base Lines and one tie line were run south-east from previously cut lines. Cross lines were then run at 400 foot intervals normal to the base lines. All lines were chained and picketed at 100 foot intervals. Magnetometer readings were taken with a Sharpe MF-l fluxgate magnetometer at 50 foot intervals. The looping method was used for control of diurinal variation. In this method a base station is selected and readings taken along lines describing a loop, arriving back at the starting base station in less than two hours. A second loop is then started using either the same base station or another which is tied to the previous loop. Readings are then corrected for diurinal variation by assuming the time between readings is the same and distributing any variation equally among the intervening readings. No correction was applied less than the accuracy of the base station reading.

R. A. MACGREGOR, P.ENG. PAGE NO. 2 A VLF-EM survey was carried out using a Crone Radem instrument set to the signal from Cutler, Maine (17.8 KH Z ). Readings were taken at 100 foot intervals -ising the procedure outlined in Appendix I. The looping method was u^ed for control of variation, the same as described for the magnetometer survey excepting that the time was noted for each station. Results and Conclusions Magnetometer The magnetics outline the area of ultramafics which in the north part appears to be a fairly complex series of discontinuous lenses. Some of the high readings may be due to iron formation. In the south part of the claims (sheet 2) the ultramafics appear as a continuous lense or sill about 1000 feet wide and striking North-South and opposed to the north-westerly strike of the ultramafics in the north part. VLF-EM The VLF-EM survey shows a number of cross overs on the claims covered. The long conductor to the north-east of base line's 1 running from line 24SE to 4NW and possibly extending to 20NW may be a fault in the ultramafics. Two strong cross-overs on lines 20SE and 16SE just south-west of base line 'B 1 warrant further investigation. The strong cross-over at NE on line 92SE may be due to conductive overburden, as it lies in the centre of a small beaver pond with steep sides. All the cross-overs are in overburdened areas. Respectfully submitted, r, P.Eng,

R. A. MACGREGOR, P.ENG. Introduction 32004SE SKEAD 020 Report on Magnetomet Part of Lots l to 6, Concessions 5 and ^^ 6, Skead Township, Ontario Linecutting, followed by Magnetometer and VLF-EM surveys were carried out at various tiroes between August and November, 1974 at three localities in Concession 5 and 6, Skead Township, Ontario. The results are shown on three separate sheets. Location, Access and Ownersnip The claims (W) are located in lots l to 6 Concession 5 and lots 2 to 4 Concession 6 Skead Township, District of Temiskaming, Ontario. Claim numbers are L , , , , *fe*S^, inclusive. The Claims are recorded in the name of R,A, Macgregor, 134 Palace Dr. Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and L. Lacasse, Larder Lake, Ontario. Access is from Highway 624 which crosses the property about 9 miles south of Larder Lake, Ontario. Previous Exploration In previous exploration a shaft was sunk about 30 feet on claim L400703, and some surface pits sunk at various places throughout the area. An airborne magnetomer survey has been flown over the area and some ground magnetometer work done in the area of sheet 3 in the past. Gold is reported from the 30 foot shaft. A large part of the claims are covered by drift. Geology The property is underlain by a volcanic sequence of rocks, mostly mafic volcanics with narrow felsic volcanic bands. Through the north part is a belt of ultramafic rocks, mostly serpentinized peridotite, which may also be altered volcanic flows. Much of the property, particularly the ultramafics as outlined by the high magnetics are covered by overburden, Survey Procedure Base and tie lines were extended from adjoining claims on which lines had been previously cut. Cross lines were then run at 400 foot intervals normal to the base lines. Some of the lines were recutting of lines cut in the winter a few years ago. All lines were chained and picketed at 100 foot intervals.

R. A. MACGREGOR, P.ENO. PAGE NO. 2 Magnetometer readings were taken with a Sharpe MF-l fluxgate metometer at 50 foot intervals. The looping method was used for control of diurinal variation. In this method a base station is selected and readings taken alona lines describing a loop, arriving back at the starting base station in less than two hours. A second loop is then started using either the sane base station or another which is tied to the previous loop. Readings are then corrected for diurinal variation by assuming the time between readings is the same and distributing any variation equally among the intervening readings. No correction was applied less than the accuracy of the base station reading. A VLF-EM. survey was carried out using a Crone Radem instrument set to the signal from Cutler, Maine (17.8 KH Z ), Readings were taken at 100 foot intervals using the procedure outlined in Appendix I. The loonino method was used for control of variation, the same as described for the maanetometer survey excepting that the time was noted for each station. Results and Conclusions Magnetometer The magnetics outline the ultramafics v/h i eh appear to occur more as discontinuous lenses than as a uniform sill. The magnetics also show the trend of the volcanic flows. Just north of the old Fidelity shaft on Sheet 2 is a narrow high magnetic band which could be a narrow iron formation. In the west part of Sheet 3 high magnetic readings indicate an ultramafic band which trends northeasterly rather than the usual northwesterly trend. Faulting may be the cause, but the area is entirely covered by overburden. The VLF-EM survey shows a number of cross-overs which extend across several lines and are possibly caused by faults or conductive overburden. The west part of sheet 3 contains no strong cross-overs possibly due to the depth of overburden. A number of strong single line cross-overs are worth checking by other geophysical methods, They are: Sheet 1: Line 100W, S and 9 -f 20S Sheet 2: 9ieet 3: 13 + SON on Line 48W 15 * 4ON on Line 60W 7 * 40 N on Line 24E from South tie line 3 * SON on Line 8E from South tie line possibly extending to line 12E All the areas are drift covered. Respec mitted, P.Eng

Phone: (416) FIELD STRENGTH meter BATTERY test and "STEADY" or "KEYED" signal switches INCLINOMETER FIELD STRENGTH range switch VOLUME CONTROL ON-OFF switch STATION SELECTOR switch BATTERY COMPARTMENT (inside) CONDUCTOR DIRECTION ARROW SPEAKER This is a rugged, simple to operate, ONE MAN EM unit. It can be used without line cutting and is thus ideally suited for GROUND'LOCATION OF AIRBORNE CONDUCTORS and the CHECKING OUT OF MINERAL SHOWINGS. This instrument utilizes higher than normal EM frequencies and is capable of detecting DISSEMINATED SULPHIDE DEPOSITS and SMALL SULPHIDE BODIES. It accurately Isolates BANDED CONDUCTORS and operates through areas of HIGH HYDRO NOISE. The method is capable of deep penetration but due to the high frequency used its penetration is limited in areas of clay and conductive overburden. The DIP ANGLE measurement detects a conductor from a considerable distance and is used primarily for locating conductors. The FIELD STRENGTH measurement is used to define the shape and attitude of the conductor.

CRONE GEOPHYSICS LIMITED 3607 WOLFEDAUE ROAD MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO CANADA PHONE (416) INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION OF THE RADEM VLF-EM RECEIVER (1) Tr an sm i 11 e r S tat ions, The VLF Communication Broadcast stations are positioned throughout the world. At present, 17 of these stations broadcast steadily except for maintenance periods usually of 1/2 to 1/3 days per week. The RADEM receives any 7 of these stations with selection by means of a switch. The usable range of the stations varies widely with power and transmission conditions but is usually between 1000 and 5000 miles. Two types of signals are broadcast "keyed" (on and off) and "frequency shift" (FM). A station should be selected that is located in the same direction as the regional strike. For example, if the geological strike is east-west then a station located east or west of the operator should be used. If in doubt of the geological strike two orthogonal stations should be read. (2) Field Measurements (a) Dip Angle of: Resultant Field This is the angle of inclination, measured from the horizontal in degrees, of the direction of the resultant VLF field. The VLF field is normally horizontal (O 0 dip). The dip angle measurement is independant of the strength of the field and the gain setting of the RADEM receiver. When plotted on a profile the dip angles usually form a cross-over pattern above the conductor as with the standard vertical loop EM method. To measure the dip angle the RADEM is first held with the instrument'face horizontal and rotated until a null is obtained (visual minimum on the field strength meter and audio null). February, 1973.

- 2 - This aligns the RADEM with the direction of the VLF field. The RADEM is then held vertically and tilted from right to left until another null is obtained. The instrument is held steady in this null position and the dip angle read from the inclinometer. Note that the arrow in CRQNE points towards the conductor if the arrow points north the dip angle is recorded as say 10 0 N. In making the dip angle measurement the Normal-K.switchmust be in the NORM position. (b) Out of-phase Measurement The secondary field from a ground conductor often is not in the same phase as the primary field therefore the resultant field will have an out-of-phase component. To measure the put-of-phase component as a percent of the normal primary field the volume control of the amplifier must be set up as a standard. This is achieved at a base station in a normal area. The Field Strength range switch is placed in the O position. The RADEM held with the face horizontal and the body rotated until a maximum Field Strength reading is obtained. In this position the Volume control is adjusted until the meter reads "100". The volume control is left at this settting until the base station is read again usually one to several hours later. The Out-of-Phase reading is the minimum position of the Field-Strength meter when the dip angle of the resultant field is being measured. It is read at the same time as the dip angle is being read with the RADEM in.the vertical null position. The out-of-phase measurement is sensitive to a lower order of conductivity than the dip angle measurement. For this reason it is often not recorded unless very poor conductors are being sought. (c) Horizontal Component of the Field Strength This is simply the strength of the field in 'the horizontal plane. It is the maximum reading obtained from the Field Strength meter when the instrument is rotated in the horizontal plane. It is therefore at right angles to the null position. It is usually read after the dip angle measurement simply by holding the RADEM horizontal, the CRONE arrow pointing at right angles to the operator, and adjusting.position for maximum reading in the horizontal plane. If the signal is keyed the Normal-K switch is moved to the "K" position for the field strength reading. It must be returned to the normal position for dip angle measurements.

- 3 - The field strength of VLF stations drifts with time. This drift is particularly severe during sunrise and sunset periods. A base station should be established in a normal area and the RADEM adjusted to a Horizontal Field Strength of "100" on the "O - 300" scale by means of the volume control pot. This base or subsidary base station should be read every one to two hours as in a magnetic survey.. - Eraser's Method Reference: Geophysics, Volume 34, No.6, December "Contouring of VLF-EM Data" This is a simple operation on the dip angle readings that more clearly defines anomalous areas. It requires a consistent reading interval usually 50' or 100', It produces a survey in which the conductors are contoured much the same as a Horizontal Field Strength survey although lacking the detail possible with the Field Strength measurement. 12 R. A. MACGREGOR, P.ENG. Introduction 32D84SE SKEAD 030 Report on VLF-EM Sur -f.., ^, Ontario A VLF-EM survey was carried out in January and August 1974 over previously cut lines, Rechaining was necessary on the lines surveyed in January. Location, Access and Ownership The property ic located in lots 5 and 6, Concessions 5 and 6; lot 7 Concession 6 and lots 8,9 and 10 Concession 5 of Skead Township, District of Temiskaming, Ontario. It comprises 32 claims numbered L270229, / , , , , , , arid Previous Exploration A considerable amount of work has been carried out in the past in the south half of lot 6 Con.6. This work consisted of surface pits and trenches and a shaft to a reported depth of 500 feet with lateral work on the 215 and 475 foot levels. This work was carried out in search for gold in the 1920's-1930's. No records have been located on the results of this work. A magnetometer survey was carried out in the fall of 1973 and results are on file at the Provincial Geologist's office in Kirkland Lake. Geology The property is underlain by felsic and mafic volcanics cut by felsic intrusive.1? and serpentinized peridotite bodies in the south part of the claims. Sedimentary rocks overlie and/or are interbedded in the northern part of the claims. Both the Lincoln- Nipissing shear zone and the Manor fault cross the property. Results of the VLF-EM survey indicate that faulting may be more complex than shown on map issued by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. Survey Procedure The survey was run along lines previously cut for a magnetometer survey and described in the report of the magnetometer work. The VLF-EM survey was carried out using a Crone Radem instrument set to the signal from Seattle, Washington (18.6 KH Z ) in Concession 6 and from Cutler, Maine (17.8 KH Z ) in Concession 5, Readings were taken at 100 foot intervals using the procedure outlined in Appendix I. The looping method was used for control of any variation, and the time noted at each station.

R. A. MACGREGOR, P.ENG. PAGE NO,2 Jesuits and Conclusions The survey shows a number of cross-overs which mostly follow drift covered areas. They may be caused by faults or conductive overburden. The Manor fault shows up very clearly from the north-west boundary to line 16W, but does not appear on line 12W. It may be displaced by a north-east trending fault. Two strong cross-overs which warrant further investigation lie on lines 40E and 44E south from Base Line 'A'. At 6 * 75S on line 40E from B.L.'A 1 there is a cross-over with strong magnetic correlation. The cross-over does not appear on the lines to the east or west. At 10 * 75S on line 44E from B.L,'A 1 there is a medium cross-over with some magnetic correlation. Sulphides are known in pits to the south-east. In other locations possible magnetic correlation is complicated by the presence of ultrabasic intrusives which give a rather high magnetic gradient over much of the property. Some of these rinomalies may be worth follow-up if other indications of mineralization are found. Respectfully submitted /- October 28,1974 R. A.
