1 9-022; Rev ; 4/94 Precision, Quad, SPST nalog Switches General escription The are precision, quad, single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switches. The MX35 has four normally closed (N), and the MX352 has four normally open () switches. The MX353 has two and two N switches. ll three parts offer low on resistance (less than 35Ω), guaranteed to match within 2Ω between channels and to remain flat over the analog signal range ( 3Ω max). They also offer low leakage (less than 250p at +25 and less than 6n at +85 ) and fast switching (turn-on time less than 75ns and turn-off time less than 45ns). The are fabricated with Maxim s new improved 44V silicon-gate process. esign improvements guarantee extremely low charge injection (0p), low power consumption (35µW), and electrostatic discharge (ES) greater than 200. The 44V maximum breakdown voltage allows rail-to-rail analog signal handling. These monolithic switches operate with a single positive supply (+ to +3) or with split supplies (±4.5V to ±2) while retaining MOS-logic input compatibility and fast switching. The MX35/ MX352/MX353 operate with ±5V to ±2 bipolar supplies. The Typical Operating haracteristics graphs show typical on resistance (RON) for ±5V, ±, and ±5V supplies. (Switching times increase by a factor of two or more for operation at ±5V.) The MX35/ MX352/MX353 can operate from + to +3 unipolar supplies.
