INTRDUCTIN In ctober, 1986, ground geophysical and geological surveys were carried out on claim group "A", of Holmer Gold Mines Limited Tashota property, Northwestern ntario. The purpose of these ground surveys was to locate and evaluate a selected conductor indicated from airborne electromagnetic and magnetic surveys carried out by Aerodat Limited of Toronto for Holmer in The ground follow-up surveys were successful in locating precisely airborne conductor No. 6 on claim group "A" (Hendrickson Lake). This conductor target merits testing by drilling and recommendations are given in this report for a diamond drill hole for a total length of 300 feet. TASHTA PRPERTY, LCATIN, ACCESS The Tashota Property is located in the southern part of the boshkegan and Metcalfe Lake Townships in the Thunder Bay Mining Division of ntario/ 50 miles northwest of Geraldton (Fig.l). Geraldton is a former mining town and many mining services are still available there.
Page 2. Access to the property is by float-equipped air craft that can be chartered from Jellico (36 miles), Nakina (41 miles) and Geraldton (44 miles). The western property can be reached by logging roads from Jellico-Auden Highway 801 and from Tashota on the C.N.R. route. The Tashota property is currently made up of four groups of unsurveyed mining claims for a total of 42 claims (1680 acres) as shown in Fig.2. In 1983 Holmer acquired a 10% interest in the property subject to a royalty of $l per ton of ore to the vendor. Airborne VLF-EM and magnetic surveys were contracted in 1984 to identify geophysical targets and to provide assessment work credit for certain claims. Remaining periferal claims were dropped in As of November l, 1986, all 42 claims are in good standing. AERDAT AIRBRNE GEPHYSICAL SURVEY, 1984 In 1984, a combined helicopter-borne three-frequency electromagnetic VLF-EM and magnetic survey was carried out by Aerodat Limited of Toronto on behalf of Holmer Gold Mines Limited. The flight lines were flown in a north-south direction at a nominal spacing of about 550 feet. The survey identified
Page interpreted bedrock and six possible bedrock anomalies of interest on the Tashota property. Much of the survey area is covered by a thin con ductive overburden. Most of the conductors are relatively weak. They may, however, correlate with potential goldbearing structures such as faults and shear zones. Primarily based on the known geological setting and previous work in the area, airborne anomalies Nos. 6/ 12, 15, 20 and 21 were selected as priority targets for ground follow-up surveys described in the present report (Fig. 3). INSTRUMENTATIN - PRESENT GRUND GEPHYSICAL SURVEY Electromagnetic A VLF EM-16 unit manufactured by Geonics Ltd. of Mississauga, ntario, was used for this survey. Both in and out of phase components were taken at 100 foot intervals on the grid lines. The transmitter station used was Cutler, Maine, with a frequency of 24.0 KHz.
Page 4. Magnetic A proton precession magnetometer (Model MP-2) manufactured by Scintrex Ltd. of Concord, ntario, was used for this survey. The total field measurement was read with a resolution of one gamma. Readings were recorded at 100 foot intervals on the grid lines. CLAIM GRUP "A", ANMALY N. 6, HENDRICKSN LAKE Previous Work In 1972, Noranda Exploration Company Limited carried out a ground E.M. survey which covered the general area of present Anomaly No. 6 as a follow-up of their airborne Questor Input survey. Two Questor four-channel anomalies and one Questor six-channel anomaly are located within the present Holmer claims (Fig. 4) and form one continuous axial trend. The Noranda ground E.M. survey picked up the conductive trend which is reported to have a fairly good conductivity, and to be "quite narrow" and under roughly 15 feet of overburden. It is also reported that there is a definite dip (of the zone) to the south. A further observation is that the entire trend
Page 5. lies within a magnetic high which is roughly 600 feet wide, trending in the same direction as the E.M. conductor. In f Pardners Mines Ltd. carried out a magnetic survey, geological mapping and diamond drilling on their Hendrickson Lake property. Drill hole no. 4 location is approximately near the centre of Holmer's claim TB The drill logs are not available and there are no reports of economic mineralization intersected in the drilling. Present Work Geophysics The present ground geophysical surveys located Anomaly No. 6 as a conductor trending about 075 near the southern boundaries of Holmer claims TB and TB , and approximately 3,500 feet due east of Hendrickson Lake. The ground VLF profiles show a moderately strong in phase component with indications of a broad conductive zone up to 200 feet thick. There is a co-incident magnetic high. The out of phase component suggests that the conductive zone dips steeply to the south. The survey also located a second,
Page 6. parallel conductor (No. 6B) 400 feet to the south/ on claim TB Conductor No. 6B may represent the southern edge of a broad, composite zone of shearing/ fracturing/ and sulphide mineralization with base-metal and gold potential. Conductor No. 6 would be located on the north part of such a postulated composite zone. Anomaly (conductor) No. 6 is recommended as a top priority drill target. The drill hole for this should be collared on line 6-2 (Fig. 4), 50 feet north of the VLF EM-16 crossover, and drilled for a length of 300 feet at an angle of minus 45 on an azimuth of 165. Geology The survey area is flat-lying and covered by spruce swamp and muskeg. nly one outcrop was encountered during the survey, namely felsic volcanics/ probably felsic lapilli tuff, located 400 feet north of conductor no. 6 on line 6-1.
Page 7. RECMMENDATINS Ground follow-up surveys of the Aerodat airborne survey have confirmed and located Anomaly No. 6 on claim group "A" of the Tashota property. This anomaly merits testing by diamond drilling. It is initially recommended that target conductor 6 be tested by a drill hole, total length 300 feet, at an estimated total cost of $9, The total cost is based on the estimated cost of $30.00 per foot, including mobilization, demobilization, 30 assays for gold and base-metals, and supervision. Total footage of 300 feet at SS. per foot. Total estimated cost, $9, /B.

The total field measurement was read with a resolution of one gamma. Readings were recorded at 100 foot intervals on the grid lines. CLAIM GRUP "D", ANMALY N. 15, NRTH NAMAN RIVER Anomaly (conductor) No. 15 is located on Holmer claims TB and TB (Fig. 4). Previous Work Amax Minerals Exploration carried out ground followup geophysical and geological surveys of airborne geophysical surveys flown in Three claims within the present Holraer claim group "D" are still retained by Amax. In 1980 Amax put down one drill hole on their west claim. Anomaly No. 15 is located about 1,800 feet north of the Araax drill hole.
Page 5. Present Work The ground VLF profile shows a strong in phase com ponent, indicating a strong, relatively narrow conductive zone. The zone is south-dipping. There is no significant magnetic expression associated with the conductor which trends along the edge of a spruce swamp. utcrops of basalt and felsic tuff were encountered about 300 feet north and south of the conductive zone which may be associated with a mafic-felsic volcanic contact, or a low-angle or strike-fault shear and fracture zone. Anomaly (conductor) No. 15 is recommended as a mediumpriority drill target with possible gold or base-metal potential. The drill hole should be collared 50 feet south of the VLF cross over on line 15-2 (Fig. 4), and drilled for a length of 300 feet at an angle of minus 45 on an azimuth due north. CLAIM GRUP "D", ANMALIES NS. 20 AND 21, BSHKEGAN LAKE These two anomalies are located on Holmer claim TB (Fig. 4) on the northeast shore of boshkegan Lake. The ground survey VLF profiles suggest good conductivity on
Page 6. a relatively wide zone, or a zone with multiple, closelyspaced conductive horizons. The anomalies 20 and 21 may represent the edges of such a broad conductive zone. A diamond drill set-up was encountered near the south boundary of claim TB The hole is reported to have been drilled by Noranda Exploration Company, Limited in 1977 on a target conductor located by airborne and ground follow-up geophysical surveys. The hole was drilled at minus 450 on an azimuth of about 330 for a length of 300 feet, intersecting graphitic tuffs and shales, and pyrite and pyrrhotite mineralization for most of its length. The Noranda drill hole evidently intersected anomaly 20 and anomaly 21 conductive zones. No further drilling on these targets is recommended. RECMMENDATINS Ground follow-up surveys of the Aerodat airborne survey have confirmed and located Anomaly No. 15 on claim group "D" of the Tashota property. This anomaly merits testing by diamond drilling.
Page 7. It is initially recommended that target conductor 15 be tested by a drill hole, total length 300 feet, at an estimated total cost of $9, The total cost is based on the estimated cost of $30.00 per foot, including mobilization, demobilization, 30 assays for gold and base-metals, and supervision. Total footage of 300 feet at $30.00 per foot. Total estimated cost, $9,
