1 MC4555, MC4556 Dual inary to -of-4 Decoder/Demultiplexer The MC4555 and MC4556 are constructed with complementary MOS (CMOS) enhancement mode devices. ach Decoder/Demultiplexer has two select inputs ( and ), an active low nable input (), and four mutually exclusive outputs (Q0, Q, Q2, Q3). The MC4555 has the selected output go to the high state, and the MC4556 has the selected output go to the low state. xpanded decoding such as binarytohexadecimal (of6), etc., can be achieved by using other MC4555 or MC4556 devices. pplications include code conversion, address decoding, memory selection control, and demultiplexing (using the nable input as a data input) in digital data transmission systems.
