Gentlemen: This report describes the results of a magnetometer survey carried out to cover a block of 18 claims in Burleigh Township. The magnetometer survey was part of a program of geophysical surveys and prospecting conducted to explore the possibilities of the property. The exploration work was hindered to an extent by the many ponds and swamps running across the property. The balance of the program will be completed in the coming September when the water level is low. The results of the magnetometer survey are depicted on Plan No. l accom panying this report, plotted to a scale l" " 200'. PROPERTY. LOCATION AND ACCESS - The property is located at the northeast part of Burleigh Town ship in the Bancroft Area, Ontario. The 16 claims of the property are listed as follows: EO to EO-35114, inclusive, in Lots Nos. 22 and 23, Concessions XI an4 and EO to EO-35122, inclusive, in Lots Nos. 18 to 21, inclusive, Concession XI. 4 2. Access was readily made by automobile via Highway 28 to points about l /2 mile from the eastern boundaries of the claim group, which is located about three miles to the southwest of Apsley. Apsley is a small town located 28 miles to the southwest of Bancroft. GENERAL GEOLOGY - The property is located near the east boundary of a large body of hybrid granite gneiss, known as Burleigh granite gneiss, with granite, pegmatite and minor paragneiss. A regional east-northeasterly fault, known as the Burleigh Fault, cuts across the property area. According to Fig. 2, accompanying Geological Circular No. 2 of the Ontario Department of Mines, 1955, there were several mining companies holding properties immediately to the north and west of your property area. The above-said report describes the occurrence of uranothorite, uraninite, meta-allamite and melanocerite from drill cores obtained by Pole Star Mines Limited, a subsidiary of Newkirk Mining Corporation, on their property adjoining to the north. The writer carried out extensive geological work on the properties then held by Newkirk Mining Corporation tying onto the northwest. To the best of his knowledge, there was no work done on the area of your property be tween 1954 to The mineralized zone at Pole Star Mines Limited is 200 feet wide and striking north-south. According to a report in the hands of your president, there was some prospecting done by private prospectors who found an t'ana EXPLORATION CONSULTANTS LIMITED

5 3. interesting uranium showing in the area in the mid-1950' s. Several uranium showings were then located by Cana Exploration Consultants Limited on the property area in SURVEY DATA - The magnetometer survey was carried out along picket lines cut at 400 foot intervals, east-west, to cover the claim group. All stations were taken at 100 foot intervals along the picket lines, and a c onsiderable number was taken at 50 foot intervals in the anomalous areas. A total of miles of base lines and picket lines was cut and chained for the survey, and a total of 948 stations established, using a Sharpe Fluxgate FM-1 magnetometer and base-check method. Most of the land areas of the property were surveyed in the period between September 23 to October 25, 1968, and the many water covered areas between January 17 to February 28, SURVEY RESULTS AND INTERPRETATION - The magnetometer survey has outlined many north-south striking anomalies on the property, with readings of from 3000 to 7300 gammas against background readings up to about 1000 gammas. Strong dipole effects were recorded in numerous places. The strong variations in the magnetic picture are inferred as indicating a typical situation near the boundary of the large body of hybrid granite gneiss, with the possibility of many occurrences of pegmatite CANA EXPLORATION CONSULTANTS LIMITED

6 4. dikes and sills, some of which may carry uranium. A more detailed correlation will be made when the scintillometer survey is completed. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS - The magnetometer survey has outlined many anomalous areas on the property. The complicated magnetic picture is typical of that of an area near the boundaries of a large granitic body in contact with Grenville sediments and the occurrences of pegmatitic injections. (b) Specifications:- Fluxgate MF-1 magnetometer - maximum sensitivity " 20 gammas on 1,000 gamma range; ranges -1,000, 3,000, 10,000, 30,000, 100,000 gammas; batteries: 12 x 1. 5 V flashlight "C" cells. (c) Survey procedures:- For the magnetic survey, base-check method was used with the control stations established on the base lines as shown on the plan accompanying this report. Dear Sir: This report describes the results of a program of exploration work carried out on a 16-claim group located in Burleigh Township, County of Peterborough, Eastern Ontario Mining Division. A program of magnetometer survey carried out to cover this claim group was described in a report dated July 25, The other exploration work, which includes a scintillometer and geological reconnaissance survey, a complete TV-4 spectrometric radiation survey, and surface prospecting, trenching, sampling and rock work, involving the use of a plugger, are to be described in this report. PROPERTY, LOCATION AND A CCESS - The property is located at the northeast part of Burleigh Township in the Bancroft Area, Ontario. 9 4 The claim group is tied onto the east and south by patented lands. SURVEY DATA ~ In 1967 a scintillometer reconnaissance survey was carried out along east-west and north-south claim lines of all but the northwest three claims and the flooded areas of the property. Geological recon naissance was carried out to check three showing areas encountered by the said reconnaissance survey. Surface trenching and blast sampling were carried out to check these showing areas in A combined magnetic and spectrometric scintillometer survey was carried out be tween September to October 25, 1988; but because of the many inacces sible areas on the claim group, due to lakes and water covered swamps, the spectrometric radiation survey was not completed until September, Rock work, assisted by a plugger drill, was then used to sample choice indications for assay. In all, a total of 34 blasted samples was taken from trenches and outcrops in 1968 and a total of miles of base lines and picket lines was established in , on the property, with picket lines i'an'a 10 X JMjORATJON CONSU J/r A IS TS IjJMl

10 ^ 3. spaced at 400 foot intervals, east-west, to cover the claim group. A total of i 404 spectrometric radiation stations, with readings in uranium and thorium in p. p. m., was taken in 1969 along the picket lines, and a total of 35 holes was drilled in 1989 by a plugger to depths of one to three feet at 1 4 locations and blasted by dynamite to obtain samples for assay. AND EXPLORATION WORK - The reconnaissance scintillometer survey, using a Niodel 1 1 IB De Luxe Scintillometer, along claim lines encountered three areas with anomalous readings of 0. l to MR /HR above background read ings in the order of. 004 to. 008 MR /HR. They are located in Claims NOB. EO-35107, EO and EO Geological examination re vealed that the high readings were encountered over red pegmatites. The general trend appears to be north-southerly, intruding granite gneiss and migmatite. Their widths are unknown, with the exception of the one located at the southwest boundary of Claim Mo. EO where a width of from 5 feet to 10 feet is exposed for a length of about 100 feet. The spectroruetric scintillometer survey, using a McPhar TV- 4 instrument along cut line grid, outlined several large anomalous areas with readings of over 400 p. p. m. and up to 5847 p. p. m. at the ('ANA KXJ'JXWATION CONSULTANTS 1/JMITKI)

11 north part of the property. Three of these larger anomalies have in dicated widths up to 150 feet to 550 feet. Two of the large anomalies are located in the central and west part of Claim No. EO-35107, which was not covered by the reconnaissance scintillometer survey. Another large anomaly is located between Claims NOB. EO-351H and EQ These anomalies are apparently open to the north and have indicated lengths of 600 feet to 1000 feet on the property. The data also re vealed that the three showings found by the previous reconnaissance scintillometer survey were relatively narrow. Surface trenching and pitting, using dynamite, obtained 34 samples from Claims Kos. EO-35107, EO and EO35122 which assayed from 0. Oift to 0.20& 1/309. Thirty of these are located in Claims Nos. EO and EO and are shown on a plan accom panying this report. The samples were all granite pegmatite and ap parently had been subjected to some weathering and considerable leaching. In September, 1969, immediately after the completion of the TV-4 spectrometrlc radiation survey, a program of rock work was carried out using a plugger to drill holes down to from l to 3 feet at 14 outcrop areas within Claim No. EO-S510? where readings in the order of 1250 to 5847 c. p. m. uranium were indicated. 12 4 two to three plugger holes and blasting at each location to obtain 10 to 20 pounds of relatively fresh samples for assay. Assay was by Technical Service Laboratories, of Toronto, using semiquantitative radiometric method. The results, as shown on a plan accompanying this report, showed a range of 0.04 fc to fc UgOg, and l to 3.4 times uranium over thorium. The 14 samples averaged 0.123tt l^ojj. CONCLUSJOEiS AND RECOMMENDATIONS - The exploration work carried out up-to-date on the property has located on the ground several uranium showings and many weak to strong uranium anomalies, three of which are of a good site with relatively strong uranium readings. The indicated widths are in the order of 150 feet to S50 feet, and the indicated lengths are from about 600 feet to 1000 feet on the property. Surface trenching and blasting obtained 34 samples which assayed from tfo to 0. 20ft UgOg. Fourteen plugger-hole blasted samples assayed 0. 04ft to 0.72ft l^og, with l to 3.4 times uranium over thorium (semiquantitative radiometric). The low assay results from the surface trenching and blasting were apparently due to leach ing. The results are most encouraging and call for a thorough pro gram of exploration work, including diamond drilling. ('ANA KXI'LORATJON CONSU J /PA N TS LIMITED

13 In addition to further checking the plugger hole blasted samples by chemical assay for their exact uranium content, the writer recommends to geologically map all the anomalous area* of the property along a detailed line grid, with picket lines to be estab lished at 200 foot Intervale. The geological mapping i* to be accom panied by a more detailed plugger-hole sampling. The reeulte to be obtained by said geological mapping and detailed plugger hole sampling are to be examined for the planning of a program of test diamond drilling. 14 Appendix - Details of Instruments, etc. (a) (b) (c) Type of instrument;- Scintillometer Survey * Model TV-4 scintillometer, No , McPhar Geophysics Limited, Toronto. Specifications:- Model TV-4 scintillometer; 4 threshold rate meter, plus 3 threshold scaler. Scaler at 1. 3, 1.6 and 2. 5 Mev.; measurement ranges 0*100,000 c. p. m. on rate meter, 0-100,000 total counts on scaler. Counts can be accumulated over a l, 2 or 5 minute period on scaler. The instrument operates from three "D" sice flashlight type alkaline cells. On threshold 2, the instrument re gisters approximately 50 counts per minute on an in-situ measurement over homogeneous material containing one part per million uranium. The sodium iodide crystal in the probe unit is i-3/4 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick. The instrument weighs 4 Ibs. Survey procedures:- For the scintillometer survey, a base control station was aet up in a swamp on the property. The instrument was calibrated and checked every day. AU three scaler readings were taken during survey and the counts were then resolved into net counts for uranium and thorium by simple calculation based on comparison of the counts registered at the different energy levels by the scaler.
