2 LUIS LAKE 1-76 GEPYSICAL REPRT NTS 42L-4 INTRDUCTIN This reprt suarizes the results f agnetic and electr agnetic surveys cnducted ver six cntiguus, unpatented ining clais in bshkegan Twnship, Thunder Bay Mining Divisin. The clais are recrded as fllws: TB inclusive. The surveys were carried ut by gephysical peratrs e plyed by Nranda Explratin Cpany, Liited during May and June f LCATIN AND ACCESS Luis Lake is accessible by flat plane fr either Jellice, 36.4 iles t the suth, r fr Geraldtn, 40 iles t the suth- east. The CNR rail line lies apprxiately 2.2 iles due nrth f the prperty. prperty. A gae trail leads east fr Luis Lake t the centre f the LINECUTTING A grid having a baseline aziuth f 90 was cut ver the prperty. Winglines are spaced 400 feet apart with statins ribbned every 100 feet. VERTICAL LP ELECTRMAGNETIC SURVEY A vertical lp EM survey was carried ut t lcate the airbrne analies n the grund and trace ut the cnductrs. The instruent used was the VEM anufactured by Crne Gephysics Liited. The survey utilizes a large fixed transitting cil which is hung fr a ast in a vertical plane and a sall, prtable receiving cil. An alternating current is passed thrugh the transitting cil prducing an alternating agnetic field. If a cnductr is in range f this field, a current is induced in it with a secndary

3 agnetic field being generated. The dip f the resultant field (priary plus secndary) is easured with the receiver cil. Readings are taken alng lines perpendicular t the cnductr, 400 r 800 feet away fr the transitter set-ups. Tw frequencies were used fr this survey; 390 z. and 1830 z. MAGNETMETER SURVEY A agnetic survey using a Scintrex MF-2 fluxgate agneteter was run ver the prperty. Readings were taken every 100 feet, this being reduced t a 50 ft spacing in analus areas. Cntrl fr the survey was aintained by the establishent f a agnetic base statin lcated n the baseline at L10+80W having a value f 900 gaas. Check-in statins were set up at the baseline-wingline intersectins. SURVEY RESULTS Fur cnductive znes were traced ut with the vertical lp. These are lettered A thrugh D n the ap. Fr the gelgical apping all fur znes ccur within a black pyritic chert with varying aunts f agnetite. All are f high cnductivity sug gesting high cncentratins f sulphides. ne A - traverses the nrth end f the prperty. The agnetic assciatin is erratic but generally lw. ne B - extends fr the pnd eastward beynd the prperty. It has a re cnsistant agnetic assciatin with highs t 3000 gaas. ne C - is situated alng the baseline. The zne is pen bth east and west. It has a cincident agnetic assciatin which changes character fr west t east, being abut 2000 gaas in the west t 13,000 gaas in the east. ne D - is apparently a wide zne (100 feet) ccurring in the suthern part f the prperty. It has a cincident agnetic as sciatin t 3000 gaas. N further wrk is recended n the iediate prperty.
