3 1. Intrductin Bitterrt Resurces Ltd. cntracted Grey wl Resurces t cnduct line-cutting and a magnetic survey, and retained Quadra Surveys t cnduct a gravity survey n its mining claims in the Nipign embayment f the middle Prterzic (Keweenawan) Midcntinent rift. Bitterrt als retained Jan Klein, Cnsulting Gephysicist t advise n the type f surveys t be carried ut, rient the grid lines, review and prcess the magnetic data and create the three magnetic maps presented in this reprt. The claims were staked t cver aermagnetic features identified frm surveys flwn in 1962 by the ntari Department f Mines and the Gelgical Survey f Canada. These magnetic highs were targeted because they are prspective fr Ni/Cu/PGE mineralizatin in Keweenawan-aged ultramafic bdies, which intrude lder Sibley Grup sediments. The surveys were perfrmed frm March l t 19, 2000 n a grid f cut lines cnsisting f three 1.6 km nrth-suth lines and tw 1.6 km east-west lines. The lines were spaced 200 metres apart and magnetic measurements were taken at 12.5 metre intervals, with the gravity measurements taken at 50 metre intervals. The grid lines start and end at the claim bundaries and are parallel t r fllw claim unit bundaries (figures l and 2). The magnetic maps were pltted at l :5,000 n an idealized nrth/suth east/west grid. The GPS-cntrlled gravity survey maps were als pltted at l :5,000 and revealed minr line cutting errrs. The actual cut lines are straight, but sme are riented several degrees ff f their intended directin, prbably due t a line cutter's incrrectly adjusted cmpass. 2. Lcatin and Access The claims are lcated ver Sprut Lake, apprximately 2 km. west f Adamsn Twnship, nrth f Highway 17 and the village f Hurkett. Access frm Hurkett is by heading nrth apprximately 36 km n the Black Sturgen Lake Rad, then west 11 km n a gravel rad which rughly fllws the Trans Canada Pipeline, then apprximately 7 km NE t the Zt Lake area. The final 2 km is cvered n ft, heading NNE t the claims (figures l and 2). Refer t NTS 52H/2, Shillabeer Lake l :50, Prperty The prperty cnsists f claim number , cmprising 16 mining claim units. The claims are whlly-wned by Bitterrt Resurces Ltd.. Explratin Histry The authr is nt aware f any previus metallic mineral explratin wrk cmpleted n the claim.

4 5. Gephysical Survey Results The magnetic survey emplyed a GEM-5 magnetmeter taking 686 readings at 12.5 m. intervals n lines spaced 200 m. apart. Ttal field magnetic intensity values were crrected fr diurnal variatins, Upward Cntinued t 50 m. and gridded at 12.5 m. A ttal f 8,500 m. f grid lines were traversed with the magnetmeter. The magnetic survey defined a prminent val-shaped magnetic high apprximately 800 metres in diameter. This cnfirms the apprximate psitin and shape f the aermagnetic high n the 1962 gvernment maps. The magnetic readings are quite variable between statins, particularly n the nrthern half f lines 200W and W. Further investigatin f this area is required. The magnetic intensity drps abruptly at the east end f the survey. The cntured data als shws tw discrete magnetic peaks, at l GE n LN and at 00S n L-200W. The gravity survey used a Lacste 8i Rmberg Land gravity meter, mdel SN: G 32 reading t an accuracy f 0.01 mgal. Survey cntrl was with a Trimble RTK GPS 00 SSI with a vertical reslutin f 20mm +/-2ppm and hrizntal reslutin f 10mm +I- Ippm. The UTM crdinates were derived frm an autnmus GPS fix. Gravity values were listed in milligals and referenced t an assumed abslute gravity value. Measurements were taken n the same grid lines used fr the magnetic survey n statins 50m. apart. A ttal f 5,000 m. f grid lines were traversed with the gravity meter. The gravity survey defined a gravity lw, which is cincident with the magnetic high. There is a prnunced gradient in the values, with the readings increasing t the west and suth f the grid and decreasing twards the nrthwest. The cincident gravity lw and magnetic highs may be indicating the presence f a felsic Keweenawan intrusin int Sibley Grup sediments. Magnetite skarn may als be present. The val magnetic high/gravity lw is alng strike frm Black Sturgen fault zne, which defines the eastern margin f the Nipign embayment f the Mid-cntinent Rift. 6. Recmmendatins The next phase f wrk n the claim shuld include sil gechemistry. If the sils are anmalus in metals, additinal magnetic and electrmagnetic surveys shuld be cmpleted. Additinal magnetic data shuld be cllected in the vicinity f the nrth half f lines W and-200w t determine whether the highly variable magnetic readings are accurate.

12 5. Gephysical Survey Results The magnetic survey emplyed a GEM-5 magnetmeter taking 636 readings at 12.5 m. intervals n lines spaced 200 m. apart. Ttal field magnetic intensity values were crrected fr diurnal variatins, Upward Cntinued t 50 m. and gridded at 12.5 m. A ttal f 7875 m. f grid lines were traversed with the magnetmeter. The magnetic survey defined a nrthwest-trending, val-shaped magnetic high cvering apprximately 1200 metres by 600 metres. This cnfirms the apprximate psitin and shape f the aermagnetic high n the 1962 gvernment maps. The magnetic high is flanked n the west, suth and east by prminent magnetic lws. The gravity survey used a Lacste *fe Rmberg Land gravity meter, mdel SN: G 32 reading t an accuracy f 0.01 mgal. Measurements were taken n the same grid lines used fr the magnetic survey n statins 50m. apart. A ttal f 6,100 m. f grid lines were traversed with the gravity meter. The gravity survey defined a gravity high, which is cincident with the magnetic high. There is a prnunced gradient in the gravity values, with the readings increasing twards the nrtheast. Despite the gradient, the peak f the gravity high ccurs apprximately 300 metres nrth f the magnetic high. The cincident gravity and magnetic highs may be indicating the presence f a mafic r ultramafic Keweenawan intrusin int Sibley Grup sediments. Magnetite skarn may als be present. The gephysical signature culd als be caused by an ersinal remnant f a Lgan sill, as ccurs apprximately 10 km west f the claims. The val magnetic high/gravity lw is alng strike frm ffsets f the Black Sturgen fault zne, which defines the eastern margin f the Nipign embayment f the Mid-cntinent Rift. 6. Recmmendatins The next phase f wrk n the claim shuld include sil gechemistry, gelgical mapping and further mdelling f the gravity prfiles. Electrmagnetic surveys shuld als be cmpleted if the afrementined wrk indicates the presence f an ultramafic r mafic intrusin, rather than a Lgan sill.

Lcatin and Access The claims are lcated in Cckeram Twnship, nrth f Highway 17 and the village f Hurkett. Access frm Hurkett is by heading nrth apprximately 36 km n the Black Sturgen Lake Rad, then west 6 km t Shillabeer Creek n a gravel rad which rughly fllws the Trans Canada Pipeline. The nrthwestern crner f the claim is crssed by the rad and pipeline (figures l and 2). Refer t NTS 52H/2, Shillabeer Lake 1:50, Prperty The prperty cnsists f claim number , cmprising 15 mining claim units. The claims are whlly-wned by Bitterrt Resurces Ltd.. Explratin Histry The authr is nt aware f any previus metallic mineral explratin wrk cmpleted n the claim, althugh a third party has claimed a marl ccurrence in Schillabeer Creek, which cuts int the nrtheast crner f the claim.

20 5. Gephysical Survey Results The magnetic survey emplyed a GEM-5 magnetmeter taking 613 readings at 12.5 m. intervals n lines spaced 200 m. apart. Ttal field magnetic intensity values were crrected fr diurnal variatins Upward Cntinued t 50 m., gridded at 12.5 m. A ttal f 7,650 m. f grid lines were traversed with the magnetmeter. The magnetic survey defined a kidney-shaped magnetic high, the lng axis f which is riented in a NNW directin. This cnfirms the apprximate psitin and shape f the aermagnetic high n the 1962 gvernment maps. The magnetic high recrded n line N between 600W and 200W was characterised by extreme variatins in readings between statins. Further investigatin f this area is required. The magnetic intensity drps abruptly at the sutheast end f the survey. The cntured data als suggests the presence f east/west trending structures ffsetting the magnetic bdies. The gravity survey used a Lacste (fe Rmberg Land gravity meter, mdel SN: G 32 reading t an accuracy f 0.01 mgal. Measurements were taken n the same grid lines used fr the magnetic survey n statins 50 m. apart. A ttal f 6,250 m. f grid lines were traversed with the gravity meter and 21 additinal gravity readings were taken at sites ff the grid lines. The gravity survey defined a prnunced NNW-trending +/-1.0 mgal gravity high which is cincident with the axis f the kidney-shaped magnetic high. The area f extremely variable magnetic readings n line N cincides with a gravity lw. The gravity high als appears t terminate at the sutheast end f the survey. The cincident NNW-trending gravity and magnetic highs may be caused by a mafic r ultramafic Keweenawan intrusin int Sibley Grup sediments. The intrusin may have fllwed structures parallel t the adjacent Black Sturgen fault zne, which defines the eastern margin f the Nipign embayment f the Mid-cntinent Rift. The cincident magnetic high/gravity lw n the west half f line N may be the result f spurius measurements, r pssibly a magnetic felsic intrusin r magnetite skarn. 6. Recmmendatins The next phase f wrk n the claim shuld include sil gechemistry, detailed gelgical mapping and electrmagnetic surveys n the cincident magnetic/gravity highs. Additinal magnetic data shuld be cllected in the vicinity f the west half f line N t determine whether the highly erratic magnetic readings are accurate.
