3 Ebbs Grid, Ebbs Twnship Page 3 LO INTRODUCTION: Frm Sept. 2 t Sept. 30, 1999, a prgram f linecutting and magnetmeter (ttal field and gradient) surveying was carried ut n the Ebbs Grid, near Hearst, Ontari. The wrk was supervised and reprted n by David Larnde f Meegwich Cnsultants Inc., P.O. Bx 482, Temagami, Ontari POH 2HO. Field persnnel were Denis Theberge, Raynald Samuel and Daniel St.Pierre. A ttal f km f chainsaw line was cut and chained at 25 meter statins with a line spacing f 100 meters. The rientatin f the baseline was 090 while the crsslines ran at O r 180 degrees. The entire grid was surveyed with magnetmeter readings taken every 12.5 meters. 2.0 PROPERTY: The prperty cnsists f ne 11 unit claim numbered The ttal area f the prperty is 176 hectares. The claim can be described as the S Vt f Lts 28,29,30 f Cne. XII and the N '/z f Lts 28,29,30 f Cne. XI. 3.0 LOCATION AND ACCESS: The prperty is lcated sme 30 km. SSW f the twn f Hearst, Ontari. Frm here head 2 km SE alng an ATV trail t the nrth bundary f the prperty. 4.0 MAGNETOMETER SURYEY: A ttal f km was surveyed (1150 readings) at 12.5 meter statins n lines spaced at 100 meters. The sensrs were munted n an aluminum staff and the magnetmeter in the "gradimeter" mde. 4.1 Instrumentatin: A Gem Systems Overhauser GSM-19 V5.0 gradimeter (ser. N ) was used fr the field survey t cllect ttal field and gradient data. Tw sensrs were munted n an aluminum ple 0.5 meters apart. The tp sensr reads the ttal field while the lwer sensr reads and prvides the gradient reading in cnjunctin with the upper. A Gem Systems GSM-19 base statin (ser. N ) was set up near the prperty t mnitr and crrect fr the diurnal variatin during the curse f the survey. These instruments are micr-prcessr based and measure the earth's ttal magnetic field t an accuracy f ne-hundredth f a gamma. 4.2 Survey Results: The results are presented n cntured plans at 1:2000 scale. While nt real The balance f the grid has quiet magnetics. 5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The magnetic data presented in this survey indicates structure and the gelgical rck units by virtue f backgrund cmparisn. There seems t be at least three rck units: 1. A mafic intrusive taking the frm f dikes. 2. A sedimentary unit with little magnetic mineral cntent (backgrund areas). 3. An intermediate unit, pssibly granitic, with sme magnetic mineral as in the bundaries f the nt massive high at the tp f the grid. The mafic intrusives are highly magnetic.
