This curse incrprates the traditinal disciplines f anatmy and physilgy, bimechanics, psychlgy and nutritin, which are studied in the cntext f sprt, exercise and health This class will invlve lectures, research, labratry exercises, writing and a variety f assessments thrughut the year. Yur summer assignment is divided in tw parts, bth f which will help prepare yu fr this curse. Please pick up yur summer assignment prir t June 12 th frm Mrs. Dyle in Rm 238. After June 12 th, please pick up yur summer packets frm guidance. If yu need t reach me thrughut the summer, my is Christina_v_dyle@mcpsmd.rg. Part I: Part f the end f the year IB exam is understanding the cmmand terms and vcabulary used fr the bjectives f the curse. Yu will need t create flashcards fr each f the cmmand terms and their definitin. Yu will find the cmmand terms attached in this packet. Yu shuld expect a quiz n all f these terms by the end f secnd week f September. Part II: A large cmpnent f the IB Sprts class is t cmplete Internal Assessments (IA s). Because f this, yu will wrk n ne small part f an IA as yur Part II f yur summer assignment. This will allw yu t becme familiar with the IA prcess and expectatins. Using ONE f the fllwing prmpts, design an experiment. The Design-Investigatin-Planner in this packet will guide yu thrugh this prcess and shuld be cmpleted first. Then using the IA design checklist yu will create a written Design IA. Please me this summer s that I can have yur infrmatin and then yu a sample IA Design. The sample IA Design will help yu tremendusly as yu g abut yur assignment. Yu are expected t use the internet t research infrmatin. Prmpts: 1.
