The prject is lcated in NT 42 W and apprxiately Latitude ' and Lngitude '. 1.1 LCATIN AND ACCE The unpatented 2 unit ining clai (P ) is lcated in the suthwestern prtin f Geran Twnship (G-3992), Prcupine Mining Divisin, District f Cchrane, ntari, as shwn in Figure 1. The prject area is lcated apprxiately iles (34.0 k) east f Tiins, ntari. Th priary access t the prject area is via Highway 101 t the all weather rad f 1.0 iles (1.6 k) east f Night Hawk Centre. 1.2 TPGRAPHY AND VEGETATIN The ining clai is lcated in a sall bay f the Nrtheast Bay f Night Hawk Lake. The shreline is cpsed f derate t steep varved clay banks. 5 2.0 GELGY 4 MINERALGY 2.1 REGINAL GELGY The Abitibi Greenstne Belt cnsists f an east-west trending belt f vlcanics and sedientary rcks. This is the largest cntinuus Archean greenstne belt in the Canadian hield. The Abitibi Greenstne Belt is lcated in the suthwestern part f the uperir tectnic prvince and is truncated east and west by the Grenville Frnt and the Kapuskasing tructure respectively. Mst f the gld depsits lie in interediate t felsic vlcanic rcks, their intrusive equivalents r assciated clastic r exhalative sedients, and stly at the argins f the vlcanic cplexes. These depsits have traditinally been assciated with shear r fault znes. The tw ajr faults in the area, the Prcupine-Destr and the Larder Lake are the prinent structural discntinuities in the rck f the Tiins-Kirkland Lake area. These tw easterly trending faults are cut and ffset t the west by any nrtherly trending faults. The Prcupine-Destr "Break" extends in an east nrtheasterly t easterly directin acrss the Mathesn, Geran, tck, Taylr and Carr Twnships. Geran Twnship lies alng the suthern liits f the Prcupine westerly syncline. It is felt that the fault prvided a fissure thrugh which ultra afic aga ved fr a zne in the antle. Prcupine sedients ccur predinantly nrth f and alng the Prcupine Destr Fault. These cnsist ainly f interlaying greywacke, siltsne and lesser cnglerates fr part f the turbidite sequence. The Prcupine syncline was ne f the yunger flds t develp. The Nrth Tisdale and Kayru synclines and the Central Tisdale and Vipnd anticlines, created earlier, reflded arund the Prcupine syncline. Early flds resulted fr a reginal nrth-suth cpressin while the Prcupine syncline is a result f a left-handed cuple acting in a suthwest t nrtheast directin.

6 3.0 GEPHYICAL URVEY 3.1 INTRDUCTIN The bjectives f the ttal field agnetic survey was t identify the underlying lithlgical units and indicate the pssible lcatin f the Prcupine Destr Fault Zne and crss structures. During March 1998, Gergex Explratin Cntractrs 353 Railway t., Tiins, ntari, established the k lake grid during February 24 t 25, The east-west baseline was established alng the suthern clai bundary. The nrth-suth grid lines were established at 100 etre spacing with statins at 20 etres intervals alng the grid lines and the baseline. A ttal f 178 agnetic readings were established. The surveying was cpleted n March 27 and April 1, 1998, by K. Jensen, Ken tckill and ylvain Rndeau. The data reductins, preliinary drafting, and interpretatin were cpleted by the authr n April 24 and 26, MAGNETIC URVEY The ttal field agnetic survey was cpleted utilizing the Geetrics G-816 Magneteter. The syste specificatins are lcated in the Appendix A. The baseline was surveyed at 20 etre intervals in a lping fashin t establish accurate cntrl fr drift crrectins. A base statin was established n the baseline at 2+00 East with a value f 57, gaas. The grid lines were surveyed at 20 etre intervals in a lping fashin cencing at the baseline and cpleting at the baseline. The data was crrected fr the daily drift. The data presented did nt have a base level deducted fr the readings and is shwn in Figure 2 and the cntur agnetic ap is shwn in Figure 3. The data is cntured at 10 gaa interval. 3.3 EVALUATIN F GEPHYICAL ANMALIE It appears that the ining clai is underlain by the Prcupine etasedient in the western prtin The slightly higher agnetic readings in the western prtin are prbably due t the expsure f rck knbs while the lwer agnetic fields are cvered by thicker antle f varved clay verburden. The eastern prtin appears t be at r near the cntact between the nrthern etasedients and the suthern ultraafic etavlcanics.

7 4.0 CNCLUIN AND RECMMENDATIN It appears that the ining clai is underlain by the Prcupine etasedients in the western prtin and the eastern prtin f the clai is underlain at r near the cntact f the etasedients and the ultraafic etavlcanics. A fllw up Electragnetic r VLF-EM survey is recended especially in the vicinity f the sedientary and ultraafic cntact area.
