Within the clai grup were several gld and cpper shwings which were further prspected and resapled. A lcalied area which had n previus gelgic ap was apped and prspected. Prperty Lcatin and Access The clai grup is lcated alng the nrth shre f Lake Superir and straddles the suthern area f the nrth-suth Strey/Syine twnship bundary which further adjins the nrth-east bundary f the Twn f Terrace Bay. Valleys and the flat lying areas cnsist f hucky bedrck with swaps ccurring in areas f pr drainage. Vegetatin cnsists f spruce, birch and dense tag alders aking traversing a tie cnsuing, exhausting activity. ld grid lines have grwn ver and were nt lcatable. Water is present fr several sall pnds and creeks scattered acrss the prperty. Clai Status The clais are wned 100* by Rbert Reukl and cnsists f clais \ , , and S, ttaling 3 5 units, within Strey and Syine twnships clai ap G-633/G-634. see figure 2.

6 General Gelgy The prperty lies within the Achean Wawa subprvince f the Superir prvince. The rcks cnsists f archean vlcanics and sedients in an apprxiately east-west eugesyncline that was subsequently flded, etarphsed and intruded by granitic rcks. Lcal Geigy In the Terrace Bay regin the archean asseblage is split int tw bands having a sie f 50 k x 10 k trending west nrthwesterly fr the area f Santy Lake. (Lehan 1984) Prperty scale apping by David Bell Gelgical Services Inc 1984, and Agilis Engineering Ltd revealed an extensive afic rnetavlcanic package ipregnated with lesser interrnediate-felsic rnetavlcanics/intrusives and narrw irn fratin -chert hrins transecting the iddle f the prperty in an east-west directin. Reginal etarphis is f greenschist facies with lcalied lw grade aphiblite near the Terrace Bay Bathlith. (Marnt 1983). The clai area exhibits aphibliatin with lcal chlritisatin, silicificatin and carbnatisatin. A lw angle, nrth-suth trending fault is the dinant structural feature in the Mcan Valley as seen by a distinctive breccia/ylnite ne in the beds and banks f the Margn Creek. Fliatin can be seen ver the entire prperty in all rck types with strikes east-west and dips variably t the suth. Diand drilling revealed this nrthsuth brittle defratin/fault ne as well as the east-west trend f a ductile defratin shear ne. (Bell et. al. 1986) Previus Wrk The riginal Mcan Valley shwing cnsisted f a shear which was trenched. Line 112W t Line 108W at 12N. (G. Lhrnan 1984). The Weekly Herald, July 5, 1890 reprted the discvery f several quart veins in the Margin Valley. A tunnel was driven in ne vein fr abut 25 feet with 1890 assays f S20 per tn. Lcated apprxiately 2.5 kileters east f the clai grup is the ld Epress gld ine which has undergne spradic explratin and develpent fr 1895 t the present. An airbrne three frequency EM, VLF, and agnetic survey was carried ut in 1983 by Aerdat Ltd. f Mississauga flwn at a grund clearance f 60 eters, line spacing f 100 eters, nrth-suth directin, ttaling 45.8 kileters.

7 In 1983 a 3-an crew cut k f east-west baseline and k f nrth-suth grid lines spaced 100 eters apart fllwed by G. Lhan ding gelgical apping and Bill Caldwell taking sil saples. (G. Lhan 1984) 1984 saw grund agnetic, VLF-EM, and IP Surveys reflecting gelgy and structural features f the area. (Essn 1984) 1986 saw ten diand drill hles testing the riginal Mcan Valley shwing and three testing an IP-VLF cnductive ne. The highest value recrded was per/tn. In ctber kileters f linecutting was cpleted by Vytyl Explratin Services fllwed by a grund agneteter survey. Apprxiately 5.1 kileters f nrth-suth picket lines were established at 100 eter intervals with statins lcated a 25 eter intervals. The grid was centered n clai t cver an area where gld values up t /tn Au were previusly reprted. Present Wrk Previus shwing were prspected and resapled alng the Margn Creek. The 1890 tunnel was lcated and a vuggy c quart vein with subhedral pyrite (1*0) dipping at 70 degrees t the suth was sapled. Sub-parallel was several saller budinappearing quart veins. Suth side hanging wall was a blue qt-eye dirite/dacite, nrth side ftwall was re feldspathtic with less blue quart eyes. Alng the clai starting at the nuber 4 pst a 1600 eter flagged and chained baseline was put in. This allwed us t span the area f the clai grup fr which there was n gelgic ap cverage. Nrth-suth cpassed lines up t 700 eters lng at 200 eter spacings were traversed. The gelgy cnsisted predinately f greenschist afic vlcanics transitinal t aphiblite facies shwing variable agnetisatin, silicificatin, carbnatiatin and pyritiatin (subhedral-euhedral pyrite up t 2-3 ). An irn fratin-chert hrin was apped \ 07 subhedral pyrite) within the afic vlcanic package as a pssible western strike prjectin f cheical sedients suth f Margn Lake. The afic vlcanics shwed silicificatin that decreased as yu ved t the nrth fr the chert hrin. The present ap area was transected by several narrw quart veins, up 20 c, parallel t reginal fliatin, with variable subhedral pyrite. n the nrth shre f Mala Lake a 3 eter x 10 eter subvertical ne f pinch and swell quart veins within the cheical hrin and parallel t reginal fliatin was lcated. Mineraliatin included I 07 pyrite, pssible chalcpyrite and sphalerite. At the nrthwest crner f the ap area excellent afic pillws/flw tps n the banks f a sall pnd were fund. The pillws were cntrted and stretched subparallel t reginal fabric and shwed excellent selvage ris.

8 Cnclusin The current apping cnsists f afic subarine vlcanics with interflw cheical sedients. The gelgy is favurable fr gld hsted banded irn fratin. Within the current ap an area f favurable interest is within the cheical sedient hrin. Chip saple(33004) assayed 11 ppb. N further wrk is recended in this area f prperty. The quart vein (Adit) returned an assay (33008) 587 ppb reaffiring that significant gld ay be present.
