7 3 INTRODUCTION. Between September 9 th and st,7, undertook a heli-borne magnetic survey over the Serb property for Richard Billingsley. The survey consisted of some 67-line kilometers of airborne magnetics flown with a nominal line spacing of some meters on east-west orientated lines, with orthogonal tie lines spaced with a nominal line spacing of some meters. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

10 6 PREVIOUS WORK The Serb Property has had limited work on the property, since it s discovery in 96. Between 964 and 976 a series of exploration programs consisting of geology, geochemistry, geophysics and drilling were undertaken. The property sat dormant until when two limited geological and geochemical programs were undertaken in subsequent years. These occurrences, and other work programs are well documented in the Minfile and ARIS systems. The author would refer the reader to the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines Assessment Report Indexing System (ARIS) for the historic public reports. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

11 7 PROPERTY GEOLOGY The Serb Creek developed prospect is situated within an Eocene granitic stock of the Nanika Plutonic Suite that intrudes an Early Jurassic granodioritic stock of the Topley Plutonic Suite. These stocks are emplaced with strata of the Lower Jurassic Telkwa Formation, Hazelton Group The Serb Creek deposit (Minfile 93L83) is associated with a multiphase stock comprising an elongate stock of (porphyritic) biotite granite some kilometres in an eastwest direction, a small plug of quartz diorite porphyry and a suite of northwest-trending felsic porphyry and mafic dikes. The biotite granite is the main host to the molybdenite mineralization and cuts a large pluton of leucocratic biotite granodiorite, which in turn intrudes a suite of Hazelton volcanic rocks. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

13 9 PURPOSE The purpose of the airborne magnetic survey was to provide property wide modern magnetic coverage to aid in future exploration. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

14 SURVEY SPECIFICATIONS. The Airborne Magnetic Survey. The airborne magnetic survey was conducted using a bird type system towed on a 6 line by a ASTAR BA (GSKJ) operated by Silver King Helicopters Ltd of Smithers, British Columbia. The bird unit consists of three main components C-84 Cesium Magnetometer manufactured by Geometrics San Jose, California, AR3 Laser Range Finder manufactured by Acuity of Portland, Oregon and a 9x GPS manufactured by Garmin International Inc. of Kansas City, Kansas. The C-84 Cesium Magnetometer is a highly sensitive magnetic sensor capable of providing sensitivity up to. nt and sampling rates up to Hz. On this survey a sampling rate of Hz was employed. The respective components were in turn connected to the helicopter via a shielded multiconductor cable within the tow line for power and data transmission to the logging units on the helicopter. Flight line navigation data was obtained using Hemisphere R33 GNSS receiver with a Hz update rate. Data logging and navigation were carried out utilizing Geometrics MagLogPro software on a Panasonic CF-9 Toughbook computer with a secondary 7 daylight viewable pilot navigation monitor. In addition to the airborne unit the survey also utilized two GSM 9 proton precession magnetometer manufactured by GEM Instruments of Richmond Hill, Ontario as base magnetometers. These instruments measure variations in the total intensity of the earth s magnetic field to an accuracy of plus or minus one nanotesla. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

15 SURVEY SPECIFICATIONS cont d The survey coverage consisted of some 6 east-west orientated flight lines and 3 orthogonal tie lines. 16 DATA PROCESSING AND PRESENTATION. The data was first exported from MagLogPro, where the various sensor inputs were merged into Geosoft compatible ascii files. This merged dataset was then loaded into Geosoft Oasis Montaj for data reduction and processing. The data was first corrected for diurnal magnetic drift, utilizing the magnetic base stations. The data was then lag corrected to account for positioning errors due to instrument delay and other positional errors. Tie line levelling was then undertaken prior to gridding. Gridding was then undertaken on the levelled line data utilizing Geosoft s rangrid algorithm using a meter cell size. The reduced and leveled data set was then subject to several filtering techniques using the Geosoft MagMap module for evaluation and presentation. The magnetic data for each of the respective blocks presented in this report is Contours of Total Magnetic Intensity, and Contours Calculated First Vertical Derivative at a scale of :,. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

17 3 DISCUSSION OF RESULTS The results of the 7 airborne magnetic survey show several magnetic domains within the survey block. The most prevalent feature is a east-north eastly trending magnetic low situated in the southern portion of the survey block. This feature is likely associated with biotite granitic unit, which hosts the majority of the molybdenum views and stockwork as shown below SERB CREEK, KATIE Geology (after Fox, ) proximal to Serb Creek Prospect, with TMI (nt) A series of northly and northwesterly trending magnetic features can also be observed through the survey area within the first vertical derivative. 7 Heliborne Magnetics Survey

18 4 SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS. In September of 7, undertook airborne magnetic surveying for Richard Billingsley over his Serb Property. The survey was designed to provide a detailed modern magnetic coverage to aid with exploration proximal to known areas of mineralization. The survey identified several areas of interest, which warrant additional follow-up. Prior to additional field work a detailed compilation of all historic data should be undertaken. This information should be reviewed with the results of the 7 airborne magnetic survey to aid in target selection for additional ground work. Respectfully submitted, PETER E.
