3 - 1 - INTRODUCTION The Mineral Hill prospect, located approximately 8 miles north of Houston, B. C., about 1% miles east of Highway 16, was optioned by Granby Mining Corporation from P. J. Huber of Telkwa in January, WORK PROGRAM work on necessary access roads was begun in late May, but was hampered by muddy conditions due to an unusually late snow melt. Bulldozers were used for short periods in May, July and August for access construction and drill site preparation. Two Granby employees worked on access preparation and slashing along the roadway, as well as on drilling supervision and sampling, at irregular intervals throughout the period May 18 - October 28 (see Appendix 11). 2,240' of percussion drilling was completed in 12 vertical holes drilled to a maximum depth of 200'. Holes M-1 through M-7 were drilled in the period July 30 - August 5, and holes M-8 through M-12 were drilled in the period September Casing was driven into bedrock until clear water return with no water loss indicated that there was no danger of sample contamination Samples were taken at 10' intervals, and were reduced to a 5-7 pound sample (after drying) by a conventional power-driven splitter. Samples were examined visually, and where appreciable amounts of molybdenite were present, all samples from the hole were sent for assay. All samples from holes 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, were assayed. RESULTS OF PERCUSSION DRILL PROGRAM Low grade molybdenite intersections were found in most percussion holes, but only in hole M-3 were results definitely encouraging (0.30% MoS2/60', or 0.18% MoS2/110'). A set of logs of the percussion drill holes, complete with assay data, is enclosed as Appendix I. Two rock types which correlate with rocks known to occur near the totally overburden-covered area which was drilled, are inferred from the percussion sample chips. Hornfels is present as an aphanitic, dark grey rock. Quartz breccia is inferred from samples containing sub-equal amounts of hornfels and quartz chips; a quartz breccia occurs in a large zone west of the area explored, and is composed of angular fragments of hornfelsed volcanic and sedimentary rocks in an abundant quartz matrix. Within the area explored, there is a central zone of quartz breccia, in sub-outcrop, overlain to east and west by a thin hornfels capping. The quartz breccia appears to represent the shatter zone over an intrusive body. Molybdenite mineralization is confined almost exclusively to this quartz breccia.

6 - 2 - CONCLUSIONS Percussion drilling has yielded one significant molybdenite intersection (in hole M-31, bur nearby holes have not intersected molybdenite of comparable grade. Further exploration in this area would require diamond drilling to test for improved molybdenite grades at greater depth, and to obtain more definitive geological information.
