3 Approximately 700 samples were collected over 14 miles of grid, to assist in evaluating magnetic and EM anomalies from previous surveys No consistent geochemical patterns are present LOCATION AND ACCESS The FH Group is located on Foghorn Creek, 5 dles south of the Vlllage of Birch Island on the North Thompson River A jeep road from the Rexspar Uranium property provides access CLAIMS The group consists of 40 claims, FH 1-29, and the Foghorn Fraction Record Numbers are to and to inclusive, all in the Kamloops Mhing Division, and all held by Royal Canadian Ventures Ltd TOPOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE The Group is located on a plateau surface about 6,000 feet above sea level, dropping off along steep cliffs to Foghorn Creek 500 feet below Forest cover is fairly heavy, but large patches oe alpine meadow are present Overburden is quite thin, but outcrop is very sparce except at cliffs along Foghorn Creek Rainfall and snowfall are moderate to high HISTORY AND PREVIOUS WORK Low grade copper mineralization was located prior to 1915 and staked as the t'lydiat' Group Nearly 1,000 feet of cross-cutting and drifting was dons in two adits in il8 (BCDM ) The showing was re-located by Les Harrison in 1966 and a small amount of IP, soil and magnetic surveys done by Anaconda in 1967 Magnetic and VLF-EM surveys were done by Royal Canadian Ventures in July and August of 1968

4 SOIL A very well developed podzol type soil is present over most of the surveyed area A thin,red "B" horizon, overlain by a sharply defined "A '' horizon, is normally found within one fo& surface No difficulty was therefore encountered in consistently obtaining samples from the "B" horizon GEOCHENICBL SURVEY Approximatly 700 samples were collected at 100 foot intervals along lines 400 feet apart, using soil augers Samples were placed in kraft paper bags and sent to TSL Laboratories in Vancouver for analysis Hot acid extraction was used, Cu, Zn, and Ag were determined by atomic absorption, Mo by Zn - dithiolmethod Results are plotted on three maps (in pocket) Except for scattered highs around the Lydia showing, and along the headwaters of Foghorn Creek, soil copper content is uniformly low, with a median value of about 15 ppm At from 8+00 to East on lines 8+00 N, N and Ea, moderate copper highs correlate fairly well with the axis of a VLF-EM conductor A few very high values were obtained south of the Lydia adit Scattered erratic highs along the headwater tributaries of Foghorn Creek may be associated with minor copper mineralization observed in this area Zinc content is fairly uniform, with a median value of about 40 ppm, and no consistent zinc anomaly is present Molybdenum analysis are consistently below 1 part per million and no anomalous area was found Silver content varies generally from 05 to 3 ppm, with a median value of about 1 ppm Several isolated silver highs, up to 100 ppm, may be due to float, probably from high grade silver veins located to the north east on Foghorn Mountain Galena float high in silver was noted on the FH-27 claim

5 - 3 - CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMEXDATIONS The geochemical results, taken in conjunction with the previous geophysical work, do not justify further work, with the exception of the copper high on the FH-4 and 6 claims A short trench was bulldozed on line 8+00 north across the axis of this anmaly, but failed to reach bedrock May 28th, 1969 I- _
