3 GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY REPORT on TAT #1-28 CLAIM GROUP INTRODUCTION The Tat #la28 Claim Group di8cussed in this report is located on Tatuk Hill appxtaxlmately 35 milee south of the village of Vandearhoof. Geologic mapping and the geochemical soil survey ware carried out simultaneously, Beterminatione for copper and molybdenum were made from the soil samplaro, The geologic mapping and sot1 survey were performed by American %nelting and Refining Company under the direction and supervision of D.H. Olson, Professfonal Engineer for the Province of British Columbia. LOCATION AND ACCG S The Tat #lo28 mineral cletbrs covering the pro#pect are located on Tatuk Hill hedfatsly south of Tatuk Lake. The claimre area surveyed extends 8600' fn an east-west direction, and 7000' in a north-south bfrection, Elevations within the claim group range from 3000' at Tatuk Lake to 4300' at Tatuk Hill, Accaos to the claim group was by helicopter from a bam camp at Kenney Dam. FIELD PROCEDURE A soil survey and mapping grid pattern measuring 8000' x 7000' w m established over the 28 contiguous mineral clmima. On eaat-weet grid lines, spaced 700' apart, soil sample aitea, were establkahed at 400' intervals. Each grid line and sample site was well marked with orange flagging tape, appropriately numbered. Soil samples were careuly collected from the "OB" horizon and detailed chemical analyaria of the soil samples were made by Vancouver Geochemical Laboratories Limited of North Vancouver, British Colurdbia, Hot NO3 and HClO4 extraction techniques were used for Cu and Mo, respsctively, The method of

4 -2- analysis waa by atomic absorption spectrosaatar (Tectron AA4 and AA5) using acetylene and air for Cu detection, and nftraurs with acetylene for the deection of Mo. The analytical data are ahown on the accompanying C4aochsnfcal-Geological Survey Map, INTERPRETATION A 1bt9ted number of rock exgoauras ware located and sapped within the claim group which is crxtensively covered by a mantle of glacial till and heavy foreart, Good soil eamples, representative of the horizons were obtained over most of the grid araa. Interpretative geology bared on observed rock outcrops show a vo~canic-8edhentary rock aaradlanblage of the Takh Group which is intruded by a small Toplay Granite stock of Lower 3urasd.c Age. Anomalous Cu valuete have been obtained from aofls overlying the Takla Group rocks adjacent to and on the north aide of the granite pluton. Mineralieation obaexved in the Takla Group xocko conoristo of chalcopyrite and rarely bornite ad d~seeminated grains and fracture plane coatings. Often associated w ith the copper mfneraziaation are grains, blebar and diacontinuoue, atringsrs of magnetites garnet and spidote, Anomalous Cu values outlined on the Tat J114-18, 21 and 23 mineral claimrs muggerst the need for additional exploration. A program of trenching and/or diamond drilling complimented with detailed geologic mapping h euggsated to evaluate the source of tb anomaly.
