K.M., B.W., AND ROCK CLAIM3 Kamloops Mining Division INTRODUCTION A ground magnetometer survey was initiated on May 19, by Atled Exploration Management Ltd. on the K.M., B.W., and Rock Claims on behalf of Rocket Mines Ltd. The purpose of the survey was to assist in the geological map- ping of the property, and to define local areas fox further geophysical and drilling investigation. A total of 10 linemiles was mgneticall~ surveyed along chain?d and flagged lines spaced 800 feet apart. Readings were taken at 100 foot station 2 intervals. LOCATION AND ACCESS The claims consist of a very irregular, northwesterly elongated group of 64 claims. They are situated about eleven airmiles west of the city of Kamloops and can be reached by proceeding about one and onehalf miles south of the Trans-Canada Highway on the gravelled Cherry Creek - LBminic Lake mad. Local a-ss is p od and is provided by a jeep or tractor road through the eastern to central portion of the claims. Another road trending northeasterly cuts thmugh the B.W. claims on the northwestern part of the group.

5 ' The property is bounded on the north by Bow River Resources Ltd. and on the south by Moneta-Porcupine Mines Ltd.!lOPOGRAPHY AND LEGETATION Most of the claim omur on a flat bench at the northern base of Greenstone Mountain and above the Cherry Creek gulley to the north. The claims are covered by widely spaced conifers with no underbrush pres en t. 6 - 3 - GEOLOGY Regional The general area is underlain by a complex sequence of Kamloops and Nimla volcanics which have been intruded in places by stocks of diorite to monzonite wmposition related in age to the Iron Mask and Qui chon Creek ba tholi ths. - Local The claims area wnsists of patches of young (possibly Tertiary) volcanics varying from fine grained tuffs on the east side to fragmentals on the west overlying older Niwla schists. - These schists are primarily hornblende-biotite schists dipping steeply to the northeast and striking 120. Outcrops on the nothern part of the pmperty (Rock claims) are cut by quartz stringers. In the extreme northeast corner of the ~ock chins malachite was noted in float. On the neighboring Bow River claims a trenched showing appears to be a breccia zone wntaining carbonate fracture fillings of malachite and minor chalwpyri te. An old inclined shaft south of and within 700 feet of the south mrner of the K.M. #14 claim appears to have been sunk to investigate a quartz-calcite vein or shear wne wntaining blebs of massive chal- wpyri te, pyrite, bornite and specular hemati te. The vein cuts massive andesite which has been weakly chloritized and epidotieed. Mom disseminated chalwpyrite was noted in the wall-rock.

7 - 4 - SURVEY METHOD The nngnetometer survey was executed using a vertical force fluxgate'magnetometer which is hand held and levelled using a bubblelevel on the face of the instrument. The instrument was held by the aid of a harness to maintain constant height above ground and constant distance fmm the operator. Readings were taken facing one direction using the most sensitive scale possible. A nearby base-station recorder was used for the diurnal wr- mctions, for the day-to-day carrelation and to monitor any possible magnetic storms. INSTRUMENTATION A Sharp? MF-1 Model Fluxgate magnetometer was used on the survey lines. This unit measures the vertical force variations of the earth's magnetic field, displayed in gammas, on a meter having five ranges for a total of? 100,000 gammas. The MF-1 is very light, is fully portable, has excellent temperature stability, has negligible orientation ermr and is of rugged construction. The base station rewrder wnsisted of a Rustrak battery driven chart recorder and a McPhar M-700 Fluxgate magnetometer....

8 - 5 - DATA COMPILATION AND PRESENTATION The grid station readings and time of readings were recorded in a metal-free field book and transferred to a planimetric map for wnt- ouring after the necessary diurnal and day-to-day corrections were made. The scale of #e contour map is 400 feet. A 250 gamma contour interval has been used between -400 and +lo00 gammas. Areas of high susaptibility (i.e. above +LOO0 gammas) arel'dashed" and lows less #an -100 gammas are "ticked". DISCUSSION OF RESULTS AND INTERPRETATION The relative vertical magnetic intensity varies from a low of -400 gammas at grid w-ordinates L8E Stn. 15N to a high of gammas at L144W; Stn. 11N. This has resulted in a total magnetic relief of 3720 gammas. The antour pattern consists of many elongated highs and adjacent lows trending parallel to the baseline on a bearing of 300 degrees. This pattern is believed to be caused by steeply northerly dipping horneblende schists and parallel shears. The elongations are partially accentuated by the bias inherrent within the grid sampling interval used. The northwesterly trending elongated high with adjacent lows at the northeast ends of Lines 120W to 144W amrelates well with a mineralized trench on the neighboring Bow River Resources ground just

9 -6- off line 120W. This feature represents a dipolar source thought to be an extension of the Bow River vein or skarn zone. Another similar magnetic feature is observed near the northeast ends of Lines 80W and 88W. IIko wide magnetic lows are noted on the interpretation map offset by an interpreted northeast fault. These lows could be caused by alteration or shear zones. There is a possibility that a western extension of the fault north of the"lake"wne a t Afton Mines could transect this pmperty. A number of other northeasterly striking faults are interpreted fmm the magnetic flexures and are also illustrated. Skarn or vein type mineralization could be present along the interpreted fault which crosses the baseline at about 78W particularly in the 10s and 26N areas. CONCLUSIONS AND RE WMMENDATIONS A very wmplex series of parallel elongated magnetic pattern is observed and thought to be due primarily to steeply dipping Nicola schists striking 300". Four possible vein or skarn targets are envisaged and two larger areas of possible disseminated or shear type copper mineralization are thought to exist within the claims boundary.

12 Due to the irregular claim block it is recommended that the two large stipled areas be tested for disseminated sulphide or native wpper mineralization by a number of Induced Polarization traverses along Lines 184W, 168W, 112W & 96W. The interpreted skarn zones should also be surveyed in areas well within the claims boundary. A total of about 4 linemiles of reconnaissance I.P. is suggested.
