Sears Depth: 150m FROM TO LITHOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION O 5.4 OVERBURDEN DIORITE: Fine to medium grained, medium to dark grey; massive to rare local brecciated texture; weakly to moderately magnetic ( fine grained disseminated magnetite, possibly local pyrrhotite ); trace pyrite except when associated with calcite-quartz veinlets; scattered narrow quartz-calcite veinlets and fracture filling; a 2-3 cm. irregular quartz calcite veinlet, 30 degrees to the C/A at 8.4 metres with 2-3* chalcopyrite : Deformed zone, weakly brecciated; carbonated, with calcite as pervasive patches and with numerous quartz-calcite stringers MAFIC VOLCANIC l INTRUSIVE ROCK: ( Massive flow or gabbro sill ); Fine to medium grained; medium grey green; moderately deformed, except in areas of local narrow faulting,- weakly magnetic; variably carbonated from nil to patches and zones of moderate pervasive calcite; scattered zones of very narrow calcite stringers and fracture fillings; local narrow quartz veinlets and hairline stringer or fracture zones : Fault Zone: Fractured, clay altered, broken; Part of underlying mafic intrusive or volcanic rocks; Low angle fractures (10-20 degrees to the C/A }; weakly magnetic; fine grained, abundant grey to greenish 'gouge'; includes a low angle, 2-5 cm wide qtz veinlet from ( barren }; brecciated - rock in overlying l.o metre : Fault zone: badly broken, low angle, 20% gouge; probably related to fault at ; underlying 0.6 metres is highly deformed with chloritic stringers and fracture filling : Fracture/Fault Zone: Low angle (0-10 degrees to C/A ) fractures; white to grey fracture filling and coating ( mostly talc, minor calcite ); includes a quartz veinlet zone from ; This zone is about 50% quartz containing scattered

DIAMOND DRILL LOG PROPERTY: Cobalt HOLE No. : CSM3 Page 2 FROM TO LITHOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION chalcopyrite and magnetite patches. 37.4: A l cm. calcite-qtz veinlet at 35 degrees to C/A with l - 2% chalcopyrite as coarse patches; calcite patches or gash filling in overlying 5 cm : Below this point a crude layering appears, becoming well banded in lower 0.6 metres INTERMEDIATE METAVOLCANICS: ( Or silicified Zone ); Layered at degrees to the C/A; upper contact broken ( faulted ) at 25 degrees to C/A, Lower at 40 degrees to C/A, possibly xenolith MAFIC INTRUSIVE/FLOW: Similar to above { ); Locally deformed and fractured : Fracture zone with irregular fractures up to 1/2 cm. filled with chlorite and a metallic mineral ( hematite? ) and trace pyrite/chalcopyrite, less than 23r overall : Fracture zone with very fine quartztalc-calcite filled fractures; local patches of pyrite, less than l* overall INTERMEDIATE METAVOLCANICS: ( Or Silicified Zone ); Deformed, layered to quartzbrecciated appearance; contact at 20 degrees to the C/A; scattered brittle fracturing with calcite up to 1/2 cm. accross; trace pyrite/chalcopyrite in veinlets MAFIC METAVOLCANICS/INTRUSIVE ROCKS: As above ( ); Massive to locally fractured : A l cm. calcite veinlet ( chlorite margins ) at 30 degrees to C/A; scattered metallic mineral grains ( hematite? } ( less than l* ) : Fractured zone with calcite-talc filled fractures; trace sulphides : Pyrrhotite bearing zone: l - 2% disseminated grains and patches of pyrrhotite : Deformed zone; silicified; brecciated locally throughout; scattered quartz, quartz-calcite and calcite veinlets, fracture filling and fragments;

DIAMOND DRILL LOG PROPERTY: Cobalt HOLE No.: CSM3 Page 3 FROM TO LITHOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION possibly interflow unit : Massive mafic rock, flow or intrusive : Interlayered mafic and intermediate volcanic rocks or interflow sediment, layering from degrees to the C/A INTERMEDIATE VOLCANIC/SEDIMENTARY ROCKS: Layered tuff or sediment along with brecciated tuff or sedimentary unit ( or intrusion and alteration related pseudobreccia ); variably siliceous; pale grey green fragments from mm scale to 3 cm. in a dark grey finer grained matrix; variably deformed; layering from O to 70 degrees to the C/A ( degree average ), often highly contorted; scattered fracture zones with narrow irregularly oriented veinlets and stringers filled with chlorite, epidote, calcite or quartz or combinations of these; local carbonated patches; lower contact at 30 degrees to C/A : Deformed and fractured zone, strongly epidotized, possibly mafic flow and interflow sediments : A 2 cm. quartz-calcite-chlorite veinlet; layered; trace pyrite 70% bluish grey quartz 25% pinkish orange calcite; remainder is chlorite; 30 degrees to the C/A; wallrocks are fractured and deformed with narrow quartz-calcite-chlorite filled hairline fractures and veinlets for 40 cm. above and 30 cm. below : Carbonated mafic zone, deformed, possible flow, calcite filled oval structures suggest possible amygdoloidal flow; scattered pyrite, less than 13;, trace chalcopyrite, local patches of pyrrhotite, scattered calcite filled irregular hairline fractures with chlorite margins : Siliceous typical breccia-tuffaceous rocks, low angle to C/A (15-30 degrees ); chloritized stringers and patches : Highly deformed zone with quartz and quartz-calcite veinlets and fracture filling; sometimes appearing as isolated fragments due to fracturing; lower contact broken and vague; poor core recovery below { 35% recovery between 117 and 120 metres; BO'S; recovery between 120 and 123 metres ); badly broken below 116.5; local

DIAMOND DRILL LOG PROPERTY: Cobalt HOLE No.: CSM3 Page 4 FROM TO LITHOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION magnetite patches : Granitic Dyke: Deformed pinkish orange, felsic dyke, fine to medium grained; contacts broken : Breccia zone: magnetite-quartzcalcite matrix makes up 50-60% of zone with remainder consisting of mafic to intermediate fragments; zone also contains scattered calcite and calcite-quartz stringers and veinlets; magnetite occurs as coarse patches; scattered pyrite as grains and patches ( < l% ) and trace chalcopyrite : Highly deformed zone of mafic to intermediate volcanics or intrusive rocks and at least one narrow zone of granitic dyke; badly broken in upper part; 3-4*^ calcite veinlets and fracture filling : Moderately deformed, rare calcite veinlets NIPISSING DIABASE: Medium to dark grey; fine to medium grained, chilled to metres, becoming medium to coarse grained, vari-textured below this point; scattered fine fractures filled with calcite to 146.0; Between and 140.6, unit contains 8-10 calcite +S- quartz veinlets and irregular fracture fillings; ( interconnected ) with minor pyrite and trace Cpy; zone also contains scattered disseminated pyrite ( c l% ) E.O.H.
