No magnetic attraction, carbonate poor. Main constituents are quartz, feldspar, biotite(?) and sericite. Rock locally layered where medium grained, feldspar-rich units up to 2" occur. These comprise less than 3* of section. No sulphides noted, however some iron staining is present, core locally quite blocky. 3.4 ONTARIO GEOLOGSCAC SURVE ASSESSMENT FILES OFFICE 1988 RECEIVED FELDSPAR PORPHYRY J6.9 INTERMEDIATE TUFF AND CRYSTAL TUFF Moderate grey, medium grained, homo O geneous porphyritic intermediate rock. Feldspar phenocrysts ( 11) up to 1/4" wide in a very fine grained guartz-feldspar-biotite matrix. No sulphides observed. No magnetic attraction, carbonate poor. As in to except medium grained feldspar-rich rock comprises -1* of section. No sulphides noted

Contacts are variable from sharp to gradational and parallel foliation. No magnetic attraction, moderately enriched in carbonate. Trace to minor pyrite from 23. to As in to Feldspar concentrated within 1* of contact. Central zone has less than 1% feldspars. Contacts chilled (less than 1/4" wide). No sulphides noted. Dark green, very fine grained, foliated mafic rock. No magnetic attraction. Slight to moderate carbonate enrichment. Trace to locally minor pyrite. Moderate grey to greenish-grey, very fine to fine grained foliated intermediate rock. No magnetic attraction, carbonate poor. No sulphides observed except in a 2" mafic-rich section at which carries minor pyrite. As in to

Lamination on order of 1/4" or less. No apparent grading. Strong magnetic attraction. Trace to minor pyrite. 2' of medium grained intermediated rock as in to 417. in centre of this section INTERMEDIATE TUFF END OF HOLE Moderate greenish-grey, very fine O to fine grained foliated intermediate rock. Oval "clasts" are evident throughout the unit, composed of 30-4O* translucent, subhedral to anhedral feldspar phenocrysts, fine ash tuff and mafic volcanic flows. The matrix is generally composed of 30-40* translucent, subhedral to anhedral feldspars (plagioclase?) up to 1/" in size, with 2O-30* wispy sericite enveloping feldspar phenocrysts - clasts are usually up to 3" in size. Trace to fine pyrite; foliation is 0 to CA : ASSESSMENT FILES 262.0, 261.7, Bleached, altered areas. Tan-green colour, composed of mostly silicified sericite

Minor patchy greenish (sericitic) alteration. The "clasts" are usually 1/2" to 2" in size and are tuffaceous (plus or minus the feldspar crystals and ash). Trace to 1* disseminated pyrite. Several chloritically altered patches from 6" to 3' thick, with 2-4* disseminated pyrite. Trace to 1* pyrrhotite, trace chalcopyrite. These are at: O (This section has a 3" < middle. No sulphides in quartzcarbonate). 334.O Massive milky white quartz vein with 20* chloritic host inclusions (subparallel to foliation). 2% pyrrhotite and 1* chalcopyrite disseminations - mostly in association with chloritic inclusions ' >OO
