Quartzy veining is present, although less abundant past this interval. highly amphibolitic minor micaceous minerals -trace calcite -minor silicification -minor, medium grained anhedral pyrrhotite and pyrite blebs.. -similar to that from m: qtz/calcite vein m: example of massive, homogeneous, amphibolitic vol with little gtz veining. -texture similar to that from euhedral amphibole crystals are common in m.g. sections..1

Becomes finer grained towards lower contact. Very distinct differences over the finer grained, foliated, amphibole-rich volcanic : 4cm irregular gtz/fe-carb bleb : pinching and swelling m.g. amphibole band* : up to 30* massive pyrrhotite, 3* medium sized anhedra pyrite blebs -zone is highly magnetii due to pyrrhotite -abundant calcite : minor fine grained euhedral to subhedral white sulphide mineral (arsenopyrite?) -trace chalcopyrite blebs at : qtz/calcit* vein : grey qtz vein : strongly foliated interval i 40 to core axis (sheared pyrrhotite on cleavage planes) m: foliated, amygdaloidal, siliceous, amphibolitic vol. -medium grained (qtz?) amygdaloids : silicified, altered zone with minor py/magnetite m and an increase in pyrrhotite/pyrite down section -highly silicified. -up to 3* pyrrhotite in veins and disseminati throughout. -medium sized anhedral magnetite crystals with associated pyrite.

NORANDA EXPLORATION COMPANY UMITED DIAMOND DRILL CORE LOG Drain ft Uinoioqy Description (colour, grain size, texture, structure, etc.) Sulphide Ircn Formation (Massive Pyrrhotite Pyrite, Silicified Zones and Qtz) -brown pyrrhotite, bronze pyrite, white to milky quartz, green silicified zones and mafic components, fine to large grained sulphides, predominantly massive with local zones of weakly developed fabric f 50 to core axis, (a very homogeneous interval) : highly altered, brown to green, fine grained silicified volcanics, moderately developed foliation 9 50 to core axis. Total of 81 combined sulphides (pyrrhotite > pyrite) within gtz rich mafic volcanics : silicified, mafic vol with a fine network of gtz/carb veining producing a brecciated texture. No sulphides : lea Fe-carbonate fragment within massive pyrrhotite interval : folding of gtz/mafic bands near massive sulphide/mafic volcanic contact. -the mafic intervals are highly silicied : 80* massive pyrrhotite, 12* medium to large grained anhedral pyrite blebs and nodules, St medium to large sized gtz eyes, trace mafic components. Pyrite and gtz gives rock a spotty texture : siliceous interval with only 30t pyrrhotite, S* pyrite. The remainder i* silicified mafic vol.
