4 History and Geology The property covered in this report is known as the former Caswell Mine, located in the South west corner of Macmurchy Township. The property straddles the narrows between Michiwakenda Lake and Wasapika Lake. A dry weather road which runs east of Hwy 560 for 2.2 km is the best access to the claims. Gold was first discovered on the property in 1911 during the first years of exploration in the Shining Tree Area. The property had since then been optioned several times to various mining companies. The property was brought to lease in the early years and were cancelled and reopened for staking in 2000.The main showing is the Westree vein which is run strikes east west. Numerous other veins are also located on the property. The deposits occur in shears containing quartz veins, the interbanded schistose rock, and quartz veins forming deposits of the lode type. Approximately 39 veins had been previously discovered, many which are to small to mine. The quartz veins vary from l.3 cm to 0.6 metres in width and some of the shears are up to 7 metres wide. The rocks associated with the veins are amygdaloidal and pillowed basalt, and carbonate schist. The veins and rocks are cut by narrow, later, quartz veins. The gangue material consists of carbonate, talc, sericite, chlorite, feldspar, and tourmaline; the ore minerals consist of gold, chalcopyrite, pyrite, and molybdenite. The Sampling Program. Three areas were sampled during this program, Area# l 3 metres west of # l shaft, Westree vein, striking 60 degrees, l metre wide, 2-3 % sulfides in a carbonated schist,.28 g/t sample # C Area # 2 75 metres south and 12 metres east of Area #1 3" quartz vein in a carbonated schist shear, striking 220 degrees, vertical dip, 2 07o sulfides,.30 g/t. sample # C

Conclusions Although the gold values were low in this sampling program, more exploration should be done in the # l shaft area. In old reports, visible gold was found. The many old pits and trenches should be cleaned out and sampled. This the only way to locate any of the high grade, since no old surface sampling plans can be found. Thomas O' Connor
