We recmmend t carry ut such checking at least fr minimal, nminal and maximal flw rates. The principle fr flw characteristic selectin is t avid, if pssible, 5 0% f the beginning and end f the valve strke range. T calculate valve strke at different perating cnditins with different types f flw characteristics is pssible with the advantage f using LDM s calculatin prgramme VALVES. 3 Principles fr plug type selectin V-prted plugs shuld nt t be used in abve - critical differential pressures with inlet pressure p > 0,4 MPa and fr regulatin f = saturated steam. In these cases we recmmend t use a perfrated plug. The perfrated plug shuld be als used always when cavitatin may ccur due t a high differential pressure value r valve prts ersin caused by high speed f prcess medium flw. If the parablic plug is used (because f small Kvs) fr pressures p >,6 MPa and abve - critical differential = pressures, it is necessary t clse bth plug and seat with a hard metal verlay, i.e. stellited trim. Packing - Bellws Bellws packing is suitable fr lw and high temperatures ranging frm -50 t 550 C. Bellws ensures abslute tightness t envirnment. Packing is equipped with safety PTFE packing as standard t prevent medium frm leaking in case f damage t bellws. Intensive linear frces are nt required. Packing - O -ring EPDM Packing is designed fr nn-aggressive media with temperature frm 0 t C. Packing excels with its reliability and lng time tightness. It has ability f sealing even if the valve stem is a bit damaged. Lw frictinal frces enables valve t be actuated with a lw-linear-frce actuatr. Service life f sealing rings depends n perating cnditins and it is mre than cycles n average. Applied t RV 0, RV 0 Packing - DRSpack (PTFE) Applied t RV xx Applicatin f bellws packing Bellws packing is suitable fr applicatins with very aggressive, txic r ther dangerus media that require abslute tightness t envirnment. In such case, it is necessary t check cmpatibility f used bdy material as well as the valve inner parts material with prcess medium. It is recmmended t use bellws with safety packing preventing medium frm leaking in case f damage t bellws when there is an extremely dangerus prcess medium used. Bellws is als a great slutin t use f prcess medium either with temperature belw zer when ice accretins cause premature damage t packing r with high temeperatures when bellws ensures medium cling. DRSpack (Direct Radial Sealing Pack) is a packing with high tightness at bth lw and high perating pressure values. It is the mst used type f packing suitable fr temperatures ranging frm 0 t 60 C. The ph range is frm 0 t 4. The packing enables using f actuatrs with lw linear frce. The design enables an easy change f the whle packing. The average service life f DRSpack is mre than cycles. Three-way valves are capable t manage even high pressure difference between A and B prts but valve's flw characteristic defrmates then and s regulatin prperties deterirate. S if in dubt abut pressure difference value between thse tw prts (e.g. when three-way valve is piped directly int primary side withut pressure separatin), we recmmend t use a tw-way valve in cmbinatin with a primary-secndary side shrt cut t ensure a reliable regulatin. The authrity f A-AB way f three-way valve is, prviding a cnstant flw rate in appliance circuit, the fllwing: pvalve H00 a= = 8 =, p 8 VALVE H0 which means that the behaviur f flw in A-AB way crrespnds t ideal flw curve f the valve. In that case there are Kvs values in bth prts the same with linear characteristic i.e. the ttal flw is nearly cnstant. A cmbinatin f equal-percentage characteristic in A prt and linear characteristic in B prt shall be selected in thse cases when lading f A prt with differential pressure against B prt cannt be avided r when the primary side parametres are t high. Cntrl valves series RV 0 are tw-way r three-way valves with flanged cnnectin. Valve bdy is made f grey cast irn.
