INTRODUCTION The property consists of 5 contiguous mining claims numbered: 3396, 3397, 3398, 3399, 339, 339, 339, 3393, 3394, 3395, 3396, 85777, 85778, 8578 and The recorded holder of the mining claims is: Harold A. Watts, License #S-33. The said mining claims are located along the boundary of Kittson and Coleman Townships, in the Larder Lake Mining Division, approximately seven miles north of Latchford, Ontario, on the south side of Bay Lake where the Montreal River enters the lake. LOCATION AND ACCESS Latchford is five miles south of Cobalt, Ontario, and is in the Larder Lake Mining Division, located on NTS Sheet #3M7SW. The property coordinates are 79 O 54' longitude and 47 3'N latitude. The property is readily accessible by water from Portage Bay Lodge, 3-/ miles to the east, or from the Town of Latchford, 7 miles to the south.

.

3. REGIONAL GEOLOGY Rocks underlying the property consist mainly of Keewatin greywacke, diabase and quartzite. The Justin Creek Break, which can be traced for 3 miles, traverses the claims iri.-a north-south direction. The shaft and workings are in close proximity to the fault and explore a number of narrow calcite veins occupying fissures relating to the main Justin Creek Break. The dominant regional structure trends to the north west and is represented by the Latchford Fault which runs through Bay Lake on the eastern edge of the property. area has been intruded by the Nipissing Diabase sill. The Mineralization occurs along the edge of the sill in calcite veins. Three mines have extracted cobalt in the immediate area; the Shakt-Davis, Edison and Cobalt-Kittson mines. The Cobalt-Kittson mine is now a part of the subject property. Mineralization within these deposits include smaltite, cobaltite, gerfsdarfite, erythrite (cobalt bloom), annabergite (nickel bloom), pyrite, chalcopyrite, niccolite, silver and gold, The area has potential for precious base metal mineralization along the sill. The recent UTEM airborne survey north of Bay Lake indicated several conductors at depth beneath the proterozoic sediments.

PREVIOUS EXPLORATION In the early 9's several high grade cobalt, silver veins containing nickel and varying amounts of gold were explored in the region. Many of these veins are striking NE SW and the previous program of line-cutting, EM and Mag to determine geological trends and identify these and other unexplored vein systems that may occur on the claims, has been completed and a separate report written. HISTORY The following is an excerpt from an Ontario Department of Mines report in the Resident Geologist's Office: "The property consists of 5 claims located in Kittson and Coleman Townships on the Montreal River, about 6 miles north of Latchford. The first recorded work on the prospect was in 97 when the Cobalt-Kittson Silver Mining Syndicate did some surface work, installed a small mining plant, and sank a -compartment shaft to a depth of 5 feet. The following year The Cobalt-Kittson Mines, Limited, was incorporated to acquire and further develop the property. During 98 and 99 and the early part of 93, this company deepened the shaft to 68 feet and carried out lateral work on 4 levels; 3 feet on the 6-foot level; 368 feet on the 5-foot level; 86 feet on the 45-foot level; and 4 feet on the 65-foot level. Values in Cobalt, silver, gold and nickel were encountered but no positive ore snoots were outlined. Channel samples from the 45-foot level, said to be from a vein.5 to 4 feet wide, are reported to have averaged % to 4% cobalt; 4 to 3% copper; 3 to 6 oz/ton silver; and S4 to $7/ton gold (gold at $.67/oz). High grade cobalt mineralization was reported also from the other levels. Work on the property ceased in the latter half of 93."

6. CONCLUSIONS Regarding the Department of Mines report, samples across the -/ to 4-foot wide vein reported from the 86- foot long drift on the 45-foot (depth) level of the mine yielded: -4*fc Co.av. = 3?; = 6 Ib. Cobalt 4-3 Cu. = Q.5% = 7 Ib. Copper 4-6 oz Ag = 4.5 oz Silver 4-7 dollars $.67 =.6 oz.ton As you can estimate, values exceed $8./ton, which makes this a very valuable property. No assays were given for nickel which is also present. Since this vein sampling was carried out on the 45-foot level of the mine for a horizontal distance of 86 feet, it would be reasonable to assume a depth of at least 45 feet or 5 feet above and below the level. At an average width of 3.5 feet, this area would yield about 5, tons in place or about $9,,. dollars gross. Since surface mag and EM surveys show that the vein system extends far beyond these boundaries, this then becomes a very viable property. In the vicinity of the shaft, the mag anomaly, while quite narrow, is very pronounced.

7. CURRENT WORK PROGRAM An area which had previously been flooded by a huge beaver dam, which area is on strike with the old under ground workings and meters south of the shaft, was prospected and probed, and several depressions were probed and surface overburden dug up to reveal fractures within the diabase formation which hosts the vein structure underground. Four separate fracture areas were stripped of overburden and drilled and blasted to expose vein and rock to a depth of 6 feet in each trench. Trench 98- was opened up to feet in length, by 6 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Unfortunately, this depth proved to be below the water table and the bottom filled with water before the vein could be examined. However, the north wall shows only a narrow /" to l" wide calcite vein with very little mineralization. One sample was taken although it appeared to be relatively barren. Trench 98- was blasted out to 6 feet in length by 6 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Along the bottom and up the north face of this trench, a mineralized calcite vein can be seen which varies from l" wide to over 3". Heavy pyrite is visible on the north face and erythrite (cobalt bloom) is visible along the bottom and east face of this trench. Samples have been taken, both of the pyrite and the cobalt bloom, and will probably be sent out for assay.

8. Trench 98 3 is about 45 meters north of trench 98- and is 6 feet deep by 6 feet wide and 3 feet long. The vein exposed here was spotty and pinched and swelled from a fracture to " in width. Trench 98-4 was blasted out 3 meters north of trench 98-3 and is again 6 feet deep by 6 feet wide and 5 feet long. This trench exposed a calcite vein up to 3 feet wide, showing considerable sulphide mineralization and will be sampled after all the muck has been shovelled out from the bottom. RECOMMENDATIONS The properties lies in the Cobalt silver-cobalt area of Northern Ontario, the diabase sill which hosted the area of the camp that procured much of the ores of Cobalt is the same as that which traverses the subject property. There are several strong faults on the property. The surface and underground showings on the property contain smaltite, niccolite, silver and gold in strong fracturing. The property has real merit and it is recommended that:. the picket line grid be recut and chained and geological mapping be completed.. surface diamond drilling be carried out beginning in the vicinity of the shaft and on the better geophysical targets. 3. the shaft be dewatered and underground workings be sampled. Respectfully submitted, HAROLD A. WATTS May, 998
