3 INTRODUCTION Knowlton Property The work on this OPAP GRANT concentrated on the Centennial Stock and the enclosing host rocks along with any similar geological setting in Naveau Township. In June, three claim groups totalling 5 units were staked. These claims have tag numbers 78879, 78878, and LIST OF INDIVIDUALS L, Knowlton LOCATION and ACCESS GEOLOGY WORK DONE The project is located in Naveau Township (claim map G - 480) in the Wawa area o t t he Sault Ste. Marie Mining Division. The area is within the 4N/5 map sheet. Access to the project is gained by travelling approximately 5 km east of Wawa along Hwy 7 to the Michipicoten Road and following the Michipicoten Road north for approximately 8 km. The property is located 60 meters north of the Michipicoten Road at this point. The Centennial Stock is a granodiprite to trpndjemite body which intrudes felsic to intermediate volcanics of the southern part of the Michipicoten Greenstone Belt. Two minor past producing mines occur in the Centennial Stock. The Norwalk Mine produced 60 ounces of gold from a 0 degree striking vein zone, and the Centennial Mine produced 50 ounces of gold from a vein trending 0-5 degrees. The Centennial Stock is a seven square kilometer body analogous to gold bearing stocks. The interpretation of aerial photographs indicates one well developed trend and two lesser ones which may represent the surface trace of structural zones within the stock. Line cutting - Approximately 5.7 km of line were cut and chained with pickets at 00 foot intervals. Soil, magnetometer, VLF EM and prospecting surveys were conducted over the grid.

7 Prospecting - A total of 9 grab samples were taken. Samples were submitted to Wawa Assaying Inc. in Wawa for Au analysis using fire assay with AA finish. Certificates of assay are attached. The following table is a description of the samples. 9 Geophysical Surveys Magnetometer - A magnetometer survey was conducted over the entire grid on September 6, 7 and 8. A total of 345 readings were taken at 50 foot intervals, covering 4.57 KM. An EDA Omnimag PPM-350 was used in the field and an Omnimag PPM 400 was used as the base station. The base station was set for a sampling rate of 30 seconds and diurnal corrections were automatically computed and printed. Appended is a series of profiles which graphically show the magnetic signature, line by line. Discussion A magnetometer survey was completed in an attempt to have a better understanding of the underlying structures. Gold is frequently associated with sulfides which could be traced with the magnetic signature produced by this survey. Unfortunately the only good magnetic signature was produced where the grid passed under some high power transmission lines. There appears to be some small magnet high around line 0 + OOE 6+OOS and continuing north easterly across line 4+OOE and 8+OOE. This area was quite swampy and no outcrop was available for sampling. On the northern part of the grid the topography is very rugged and this may have influenced the magnetic signature. There does not appear to be any major magnetic trends in the area of the grid. Electromagnetic - A VLF - EM (Geonics EM 6) survey was conducted over the grid. A total of 06 stations were read, including both in-phase and quadrature measurements. The survey was contracted to D.M. Cameron and was carried out on July 8 and 6, 99. A report with appended map showing the values in a line profile format is included. Geochemical surveys Soil sampling - Soil sampling was conducted over the northern part gf the property on September 30, October l and. A total of 66 soil and humus samples were collected covering.3 KM on the grid. The B horizon was the sample target for the soils and in most cases it was obtained. The topography in the northern part of the grid varied from very rugged to rolling hills in the east part of the grid. The samples were analyzed for Au by X-Ray Assay Laboratories of Toronto. Fire assay was used on the soils and neutron activation was used on the humus samples. The sample numbers and values have been plotted on the appended map.

11 Discussion Soil samples were collected on the northern part of the grid as most of the southern part of the grid is swampy and unsuitable for soil collection. The overall results of the sampling was generally disappointing. Most values were less than 4 ppb with sporadic values or 0,, and 6ppb. Two humus samples were taken on line 0+OOE 7 S 8+OON. These samples were taken as soil was not available. No obvious trends are indicated by this sampling. More detailed humus sampling in the southern part of the grid may have better results. RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS Although the over all picture does not look very promising, some more detailed work could be done along line fc 5 north where there are two soil values of 0 and ppb Au. A grab sample on line 8+OOE +OON had an assay of 83 ppb. This was the highest of the values and could require some more detailed prospecting in the immediate area. In addition a detailed humus sampling program could be carried out in the southern part of the grid. The humus sampling along with additional prospecting could reveal some interesting anomalies.

24 VLF ELECTROMAGNETIC REPORT Knowlton Property Naveau Township, Wawa Area Ontario D.M. Cameron November 99 4N5NE0044OP9-66 NAVEAU 00 Work Carried Out A VLF-EM electromagnetic survey (Geonics EM6) was completed over all the picket lines - at 50 foot intervals on the part of line O south of the base line and on the southern 40^^ of line 8 east, and at 00 foot intervals on the remainder of the lines. Over a distance of 4,673 feet, a total of 06 stations were read, including both in-phase and quadrature measurements. The surveying was contracted to D.M. Cameron and carried out on July 8 and 6, 99. Appended is a map with the values graphically shown in a continuous profile format. Discussion of Results A Geonics EM6 survey was completed in an attempt to outline structures which could host gold deposits. Gold is frequently associated with sulfides which will weather and sometimes produce a conductive electrolyte above permeable structures or in a bedrock topographic low. These anomalies are often quite subtle, and the response can be affected by adjacent anomalies. Unfortunately, the most prominent responses on the property were produced by an eightline high tension power transmission corridor which crosses the property, coincident with the base line. These power lines have affected the ground-source responses for a distance of approximately,000 feet on each side of the lines, and may have masked important weak conductors. No crossovers, other than those caused by the power lines, are located on the property. However, there is an inflection of the in-phase on line 0 east at north, within the area of influence of the power lines, which represents an anomalous condition; coincidently, the quadrature also peaks to a higher positive value, which is indicative of a weak conductor. On the ground, the topography is gently rolling uplands with a swampy area located from 7+00 to 8+00 north. On the adjacent line 4 east at the claim line (8+5 north), the in-phase has decreased rapidly from its high positive values; this response may represent the prelude to a crossover (related to the inflection on line 0 east at 7+00 north) which could occur just off the property. At the end of this line, the land surface is gently rolling uplands.

25 Moderate inflections on both the in-phase and the quadrature on line 4 east at 3+00 south represent a weakly anomalous condition, perhaps a weak fault or shear zone. There is nothing obvious on the ground to cause this condition. Conclusions and Recommendations The VLF-EM response on line 0 east at north, which is on trend with a build-up at the north end of line 4 east, should be explored. If warranted, the adjoining claim should be staked so that the extension of this anomalism can be evaluated under the protection of held mineral rights.
