Results in parts per million by volume (ppmv). indicates nothing detected (<.1 ppmv). 3. Water level reading information is the depth to the mudline at the borehole location at the date and time recorded.. After a 1-inch recovery with the first sample attempt for S-1, a second sample attempt was made and approximately 7 or 8-inches of additional sample was recovered.. While drilling inside the casing from about to 7.-feet, observed the wash water change color from black to gray to brown and pieces of rubber fishing line in the drill cuttings at approximately -feet. At approximately 7-feet the driller stated he saw pieces of gravel in the wash water. Drilled through boulder from about 7 to 8.2-feet.. After obtaining sample S-2, drilled to approximately.-feet. The hole would not stay open below the -inch ID casing at 7.-feet. 3-inch ID casing was telescoped to approximately 17.-feet. Based on drill effort it appeared the casing was advanced through frequent cobbles/boulders. 7. Spun 3-inch ID casing to about 21-feet, then drilled to approximately 22.-feet. Cored from 22. to 2-feet. The coring effort appeared to lessen significantly from approximately 2 to 2-feet. After the core barrel was removed the borehole remained open to about.-feet. 8. Spun 3-inch ID casing to.-feet. Appeared to spin through the bottom of the boulder at approximately.-feet. Drilled to 2.-feet and sampled open hole for sample S-. 9. Drilled ahead of the 3-inch ID casing to approximately 29.-feet then spun 3-inch ID casing to approximately 29-feet. The drill effort changed from approximately 28 to 29.-feet indicating the presence of frequent cobbles/boulders. Drilled to about.-feet. At approximately.-feet, observed an increase in drill effort and orange/black pieces of gravel or rock in the wash water return. Drove 3-inch ID casing to 29.-feet and drilled back to about.-feet '.' When coring had reached approximately 3-feet, observed a slight sheen, odor and small black globules coming back with the wash water. The sheen, odor and globules were not observed below 3-feet during core attempt C When the core barrel was inserted for an additional core attempt, the barrel stopped at about 3-feet. The driller pulled back the core barrel to approximately 29.-feet and when the barrel was set back down it stopped at about 29.-feet. The core barrel was advanced with water and spinning to about 3.-feet. At about 3-feet a sheen, odor and black blebs were observed coming up with the wash water. When pressure was applied to the core barrel at approximately 3.-feet the water line appeared to jam up and the driller indicated he could not safely continue coring as it would cause the water line to burst. The driller indicated the borehole was not staying open enough below the casing to core. 12. The borehole was completed by backfilling with bentonite chips before the casing was removed. GZ-3
