4 INTRODUCTION The property covered by this report was formerly known as the Elk group and is now identified as the Gopher Creek Project which covers 27 units The claims are located approximately 30 kilometers west of Radium, B.C., on the Horsethief Creek road, (Figures 1 and 2). This report is the continuation of a drilling program at the north end of the claims near Taylor Creek to investigate numerous strong geophysical anomalies defined on previous surveys. One 12.8 meter hole was drilled in addition to two drill holes that were drilled in the previous season with a Winkie drill modified to hydraulic drive. Geochemical analysis was carried out on the drill core from all three holes.

7 PROPERTY The property consists of a total of 27 units registered to W. Pochylko, Stettler. Alberta and were converted to the new grid system in April The revised claims are listed as follows: Tenure Units Issue Date Good to Date New Good to Date lAPRl lJU Nl lOCTl lAPRl lJU Nl lOCTl30 The claims are located in the Golden Mining Division, 50 32' Lat, ' Long., and in NTS map sheet 082W09W, (Figures 1,2,3). ACCESS The property is located approximately 30 kilometers directly west of Radium, B. C. The property can be reached from the Horsethief Creek road which is accessed from the town of Radium, just north of lnvermere, and passes through the northern part of the property. Old logging roads from the Horsethief Creek road along Gopher Creek cross the central part of the property and connect to Taylor Creek. Drilling was carried out on the old logging road adjacent to Taylor Creek. The majority of the roads cannot be traveled by vehicles due to extensive bush re-growth and washouts at Gopher Creek. HISTORY There are no known major mineral occurrences within the claim group. PURPOSE The purpose of the present work was to determine the source of geophysical,

8 Self Potential and Electromagnetic, as well as soil geochemical anomalies located by previous surveys. GEOLOGY The geology of the area was mapped by Pope (1990). The claims are mainly underlain by argillites of the Horsethief Creek Formation with some outcrops of the underlying Toby Conglomerate which is directly above the Windermere unconformity. The criteria that was established by Pope for many of the ore deposits in the area was to be located on major structures below and close to the Windermere unconformity. The mapping by Pope indicates that the unconformity is located in the northern part of the claim group and that at least one major north-south structure crosses the unconformity. The fault as mapped by Pope is the same structure shown as the location of a number of old base metal prospects in the Mt Slade area. These are located approximately 3 kilometers south of the property limits. The geophysical work carried out on the property to date indicates a number of cross faults in addition to the main north-south regional structural trend. Potential replacement ore bodies could be located in the underlying Mt. Nelson formation similar to that at the Paradise Mine located approximately 10 kilometers to the south-east.

9 DRILL PROGRAM A Winkie drill was modified to hydraulic drive due to problems experienced on the previous drill program when overburden proved difficult for the underpowered unit meters of AW casing, (57mm O.D.) was used. Drill Hole Easting Northing Elevation Bearing Dip Depth ,020 5,600, m m The hole was drilled at 66 degrees on a 750mv self potential anomaly that is separate from the anomaly drilled on the previous drill program, Figs 4, 5 and 6. The core consists of argillites of the Horsethief Creek Formation which appears to have a vertical dip as well as indications of vertical structures which were anticipated from the geophysical results. Re-crystalisation is evident in bands up to 10 cm in width which are rimmed with continuous pyrite crystals. The matrix contains up to 40% white calcareous mineral, (similar to a large tremolite deposit just west of the claims), with minor quartz. No significant economic mineralization was located. Drill logs are included in the Appendix together with geochemical analysis on core samples from all three holes.

13 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS The results of the drilling have shown that the geophysical anomaly is caused by intense faulting and recrystallition of the argillites near the base of the Horsethief Creek formation. A black limestone is a marker at the base of the formation and may have been incorporated into the matrix as white calcareous material similar to tremolite which forms a large deposit just to the west of the property. No evidence of any economic mineralization was observed.
