The BM is taken at Peddamma Temple outside of the quarry lease area with its value of 30 M (Plate III). Handheld GPS Garmin make was used for capturing the co-ordinates in WGS 84 Datum. The lease sketch certified by the Asst. Director of Mines & Geology, Nandigama, was stitched on the Surface Plan (Plate - III). MAP DATUM : WGS 84 Position Format hddd mm ss.s Map Datum WGS 84 Units North Reference Variance Angle Metric True North 001 o W Degrees The features captured are incorporated in preparation of Surface Plan on 1 : 1,000 Scale. e) Geological Plan prepared on a scale 1 : 1,000 or 1 : 2,000 The geological features are layered on the surface plan to generate the Geological Plan on 1 : 1,000 Scale (Plate IV). f) Geological Sections on natural scale at suitable interval across the lease area or applied area Geological traverses in the subject area /quarry and further observations made on exposures in the vicinity of quarries facilitated to access the shape and size of the deposit in the area. It is a rocky outcrop rising 65 M above ground level within the quarry lease area (The lowest contour is 40 M and highest contour is 105 M). Method of Estimation of Reserves The area forms a part of the Hill located 430 m above the GL. Since the deposit is of plutonic origin with deep seated and no depth resistance is exploded. The reserves are estimated to a conservative depth of 30 m BGL (i.e. up to G.W. level). Page 7

8 However, as the subject area is located 75M above G.L.30M from surface area of the deposit in lease area is considered for estimation of reserves. The Description of estimation is discussed below. The deposit is found to be irregular in shape. Hence cross sectional method adopted for Estimation of Geological Reserves. 3 Sections A-A1 to C-C1 were drawn at equal distance perpendicular to the trend direction of the formation to estimate the reserves (Plate IV). The area between surface profile and assumed UPL during the lease period i.e. RL falling the section is taken as sectional area and the Influence of sectional Influence on either side (i.e.s1+s2/2).so the sectional area multiplied by Sectional Influence. mention in the total volume of Road Metal in the section. g) Reserves and Resources as per UNFC. Detailed calculation of reserves shall be stated The deposit upto RL 30 M i.e. 10 M depth below the surface is considered as Proved Reserves (Plate IV). UNFC rules are not applicable for mining the rock mass for exploiting the Road Metal.
