5 IntesisBx KNX Hisense 1. Presentatin HS-RC-KNX-1i allws a cmplete and natural integratin f HISENSE air cnditiners with KNX cntrl systems. Cmpatible with VRF air cnditiners cmmercialized by HISENSE. Main features: Reduced dimensins, quick installatin. Multiple bjects fr cntrl and status (bit, byte, characters ) with KNX standard datapint types. Status bjects fr every cntrl available. Timeut fr Open Windw and Occupancy. Sleep functin als available. Cntrl f the AC unit based in the ambient temperature read by the wn AC unit, r in the ambient temperature read by any KNX thermstat. AC unit can be cntrlled simultaneusly by the wired remte cntrl f the AC unit and by KNX. Direct cnnectin t the AC indr unit. Ttal Cntrl and Mnitring f the AC unit frm KNX, including mnitring f AC unit s state f internal variables, running hurs cunter (fr filter maintenance cntrl), and errr indicatin and errr cde. Up t 5 scenes can be saved and executed frm KNX, fixing the desired cmbinatin f Operatin Mde, Set Temperature, Fan Speed, Vane Psitin and Remte Cntrller Lck in any mment by using a simple switching. Cnnectin Cnnectin f the HS-RC-KNX-1i t the AC indr unit 2.1 HS-RC-KNX-1i withut Hisense Remte Cntrller The HS-RC-KNX-1i can be cnnected directly t the AB bus f the indr unit (n HISENSE remte cntrller -RC frm nw n- als cnnected in the AB bus). If this is the case, HS- RC-KNX-1i must be cnfigured as master (using the ETS sftware), see cnnectin diagram belw. 2.2 HS-RC-KNX-1i with HISENSE Remte Cntrller If a HISENSE remte cntrller (RC) is present and cnnected t the AB bus, cnnect the gateway as Slave in parallel with the wired remte cntrllers (cntrller acts as Master). Wired remte cntrl available. Discnnect mains pwer frm the AC unit and use a 2-wire cable with a diameter f 0.75mm 2 t 1.25mm 2 fr the cnnectin f HS-RC-KNX-1i, Hisense remte cntrller and its crrespnding indr unit. Screw the suitably peeled cable ends in the crrespnding AB terminals f each device, as summarized in the Figure 2.2. Maximum AB bus length is 500 meter. HISENSE RC and HS-RC-KNX-1i are n plarity dependent. Cnnectin f the HS-RC-KNX-1i t the KNX bus: Discnnect pwer f the KNX bus. Cnnect the HS-RC-KNX-1i t the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus using the KNX standard cnnectr (red/grey) f the HS-RC-KNX-1i, respect plarity. Recnnect pwer f the KNX bus, and mains pwer f the AC unit. 8 IntesisBx KNX Hisense 3. Cnfiguratin and setup This is a fully cmpatible KNX device which must be cnfigured and setup using standard KNX tl ETS. ETS database fr this device can be dwnladed frm: 1i_ets_database.zip Please cnsult the README.txt file, lcated inside the dwnladed zip file, t find instructins n hw t install the database. Imprtant: D nt frget t select the crrect settings f AC indr unit being cnnected t the HS-RC-KNX-1i. This is in "Parameters" f the device in ETS. ETS Parameters When imprted t the ETS sftware fr the first time, the gateway shws the fllwing default parameter cnfiguratin: Figure 4.1 Default parameter cnfiguratin With this cnfiguratin it s pssible t send On/Off (Cntrl_ On/Off), change the AC Mde (Cntrl_ Mde), the Fan Speed (Cntrl_ Fan Speed), the Vane Psitin (Cntrl_ Vanes U-D) and als the Setpint Temperature (Cntrl_ Setpint Temperature). The Status_ bjects, fr the mentined Cntrl_ bjects, are als available t use if needed. Als bjects Status_ AC Reference Temp and Status_ Errr/Alarm are shwn. 10 IntesisBx KNX Hisense 4.1 General dialg Inside this parameter s dialg it is pssible t activate r change the parameters shwn in the Figure 4.1. The first field shws the where t dwnlad the database and the user manual fr the prduct HS-RC-KNX-1i is master in AB bus This parameter changes the gateway s behavir, being able t prgram it as master r slave in AB bus. If set t n, the gateway will wrk as a slave and it will be necessary t have a Hisense remte cntrller cnfigured as a master. If set t yes the gateway will be master f the bus. It is nt necessary t have any Hisense remte cntrller in this case but, if there are, they must be cnfigured as slave. The next parameter is als shwn when selecting HS-RC-KNX-1i as master in AB bus: Figure 4.3 Parameter detail Send READs fr Cntrl_ bjects n bus recvery When this parameter is enabled, HS-RC-KNX-1i will send READ egrams fr the grup addresses assciated n its Cntrl_ bjects n bus recvery r applicatin reset/start-up. If set t n the gateway will nt perfrm any actin. If set t yes all Cntrl_ bjects with bth Transmit (T) and Update (U) flags enabled will send READs and their values will be updated with the respnse when received. 11 IntesisBx KNX Hisense Scene t lad n bus recvery / startup This parameter executes a selected scene n bus recvery r startup, nly if the selected scene has an enabled preset r values previusly saved frm KNX bus (see Scene Cnfiguratin dialg). If the gateway is discnnected frm the indr unit the scene will nt be applied, even when cnnecting t the indr unit again. Figure 4.5 Parameter detail Disallw cntrl frm remte cntrller This parameter allws: 1- Having the remte cntrller always lcked, r 2- Decide thrugh a new cmmunicatin bject if the RC is lcked r nt. If set t yes all the actins perfrmed thrugh the remte cntrller will be disabled. If set t n the remte cntrller will wrk as usually. It als appears a new parameter and the cmmunicatin bject Cntrl_ Lck Remte Cntrl. 36 Figure 4.6 Cmmunicatin bject and parameter detail Enable cmm bj Ctrl_ Remte Lck : If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Cntrl_ Lck Remte Cntrl bject will appear. When a 1 value is sent t this cmmunicatin bject, the remte cntrller is lcked. T be unlcked a 0 value must be sent. The gateway remembers the last value received even if a KNX bus reset/failure happens. When a 1 value is sent t this cmmunicatin bject, all the Cntrl_ bjects will be lcked. T unlck a 0 value must be sent, as the gateway remembers the last value received even if a KNX bus reset/failure happens Enable use f bjects fr Filter This parameter shws/hides Cntrl_ Reset Filter and Status_ Filter Status that lets reset the filter status and als mnitr if there is a filter alarm If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes Cntrl_ Reset Filter and Status_ Filter Status bjects will appear. When a 0 value is shwn in the Status_ bject, it indicates n filter alarm. When a 1 value is shwn in the Status_ bject, it indicates that the filter is full. Once the filter has been cleaned, alarm shuld be reset sending a 1 value t the Cntrl_ Reset Filter bject Enable func Operating Time Cunter This parameter shws/hides the Status_ Operatin Sec Cunter cmmunicatin bject which cunts the number f perating secnds fr the HS-RC-KNX-1i. If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Status_ Operatin Time Cunter bject will appear. It als appears a new parameter. This bject can be read and sends its status every time a whle functining hur (3600s) is cunted. The gateway keeps that cunt in memry and the status is sent als after a KNX bus reset/failure. Althugh this bject is marked as a Status_ bject it als can be written t update the cunter when needed. T reset the cunter shuld be written a 0 value. Imprtant: This bject cmes by default withut the write (W) flag activated. If is necessary t write n it, this flag must be activated. The errrs shwn have the same frmat as at the remte cntrller and at the errr list frm the indr unit manufacturer. If the bject s value is empty that means n errr. 4.2 Mde Cnfiguratin dialg Figure 4.7 Default Mde Cnfiguratin dialg All the parameters in this sectin are related with the different mde prperties and cmmunicatin bjects. 1 The byte-type cmmunicatin bject fr Mde wrks with the DTP_ Aut mde will be enabled with a 0 value, Heat mde with a 1 value, Cl mde with a 3 value, Fan mde with a 9 value and Dry mde with a 14 value When Mde is AUTO Status_ bjs reprt actual perating status (HEAT/COOL/..) When a 1 value is sent t the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bject, Heat mde will be enabled in the indr unit, and the Status_ bject will return this value. When a 0 value is sent t the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bject, Cl mde will be enabled in the indr unit, and the Status_ bject will return this value Enable PID-Cmpat. Scaling Mde Objects This parameter shws/hides the Cntrl_ Mde Cl & On and Cntrl_ Mde Heat & On cmmunicatin bjects. 3 4 If set t n the bjects will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Cntrl_ Mde Cl & On and Cntrl_ Mde Heat & On bjects will appear. These bjects prvide cmpatibility with thse KNX thermstats that cntrl the demand f heating r cling by using scaling (percentage) bjects. In these thermstats, the percentage demand is meant t be applied n a fluid valve f the heating / cling system. HS-RC-KNX-1i device des nt prvide individual cntrl n the internal parts f the indr unit (as can be its cmpressr, refrigerant valves, etc). Rather, it prvides the same level f cntrl as a (user) remte cntrller. Objects Cntrl_ Mde Cl & On and Cntrl_ Mde Heat & On intend t bring cmpatibility between thermstats riented t the cntrl f custm heating / cling systems and ready-made AC indr units, by applying the fllwing lgic: Whenever a nn-zer value (>0%) is received at Cntrl_ Mde Cl & On, indr unit will switch On in COOL mde. Whenever a nn-zer value (>0%) is received at Cntrl_ Mde Heat & On, indr unit will switch On in HEAT mde. Lastest updated bject will define the perating mde Indr unit will switch ff nly when bth bjects becme zer (0%) r when an OFF is requested at bject 0. On/Off [DPT_ bit] Imprtant: These bjects functin is nly t send On/Off and Cl/Heat t the indr unit. The PID (Inverter system) is calculated by the indr unit itself. 18 IntesisBx KNX Hisense The Special Mdes can be parameterized thrugh the ETS parameters dialg, and they can be used t give extra functinality. Imprtant: When executing any f the Special Mdes the real state f the indr unit will NOT be shwn in KNX. Imprtant: When the predefined time fr the Special Mde is finished r a 0 value is sent t stp it, the previus state will be recvered. Imprtant: If a value cncerning On/Off, Mde, Fan Speed r Setpint Temperature is received frm KNX while any Special Mde is running ( 1 ), the Special Mde will stp and the previus state will be recvered. The value received will be als applied then. Imprtant: If a value cncerning On/Off, Mde, Fan Speed r Setpint Temperature is mdified thrugh the remte cntrller, the Special Mde will stp WITHOUT recvering the previus state. Then the real indr unit state will be shwn in KNX including the new value received thrugh the remte cntrller Enable use f POWER mde This parameter shws/hides the Cntrl_ Pwer Mde and Status_ Pwer Mde cmmunicatin bjects. The Pwer Mde lets change the Setpint Temperature and the Fan Speed within a given perid f time If set t n the bjects will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Cntrl_ Pwer Mde and Status_ Pwer Mde bjects and new parameters will appear. Figure 4.11 Parameter detail When a 1 value is sent t the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bject Pwer Mde will be enabled, and the Status_ bject will return this value. When a 0 value is sent t the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bject, Pwer Mde will be disabled, and the Status_ bject will return this value. Imprtant: This mde will ONLY wrk if the indr unit is bth turned n and in a Heat, Cl, Aut-Heat r Aut-Cl Mde.
