5 IntesisBx KNX - Haier A.C. (VRF line) 1 Presentatin HA-AC-KNX-8/16/64 allws a cmplete and natural integratin f Haier air cnditiners with KNX cntrl systems. Cmpatible with all mdels f VRF line f Haier air cnditiners. Main features: Reduced dimensins. Installatin even inside the A.C. indr unit. Quick and nn-visible installatin. External pwer nt required. Direct cnnectin t the KNX EIB bus. Direct cnnectin t the AC indr unit. Fully KNX interperable, cnfiguratin frm ETS. Multiple bjects fr cntrl (f different types: bit, byte, characters ). Cntrl f the AC unit based in the ambient temperature read by the wn AC unit, r in the ambient temperature read by any KNX thermstat. 6 IntesisBx KNX - Haier A.C. (VRF line) 2 Cnnectin Cnnectin f the interface t the AC indr unit: Discnnect mains pwer frm the AC unit. Open the frnt cver f the indr unit in rder t have access t the internal cntrl bard. In the cntrl bard lcate the scket cnnectr marked as ABG1. Using a 3-wire cable, cnnect the ABG1 cnnectr frm the HA-AC-KNX-8/16/64 t the A B G1 cnnectr f the AC unit's cntrl bard. Fix the HA-AC-KNX-8/16/64 inside r utside the AC indr unit depending n yur needs remember that HA-AC-KNX-8/16/64 must be als cnnected t the KNX bus. Clse the AC indr unit's frnt cver again. Cnnectin f the interface t the KNX bus: Discnnect pwer f the KNX bus. Cnnect the interface t the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus using the KNX standard cnnectr (red/grey) f the interface, respect plarity. Recnnect pwer f the KNX bus. The HA-AC-KNX can be cnnected t mre than ne Haier Cmmunicatin Adaptr simultaneusly. NOTE: Mre than ne Haier Cmmunicatin Adaptr can be present in the installatin. Please make sure that the address f the Haier Cmmunicatin Adaptr is crrectly set in the ETS. Check sectin 4.6 fr mre infrmatin. ETS prject fr this device can be dwnladed frm: Please cnsult the README.txt file, lcated inside the dwnladed zip file, t find instructins n hw t install the database. (VRF line) 4 ETS Parameters When imprted t the ETS sftware fr the first time, the gateway shws the fllwing default parameter cnfiguratin: Figure 4.1 Default parameter cnfiguratin With this cnfiguratin it s pssible t send On/Off (Cntrl_ On/Off), change the AC Mde (Cntrl_ Mde), the Fan Speed (Cntrl_ Fan Speed) and als the Setpint Temperature (Cntrl_ Setpint Temperature). The Status_ bjects, fr the mentined Cntrl_ bjects, are als available t use if needed. Objects Status_ AC Ambient Reference Temperature and Status_ Errr/Alarm are shwn t. (VRF line) 4.1 General cnfiguratin Inside this parameter s dialg it is pssible t activate r change the parameters shwn in the Figure Dwnlad latest database entry fr this prduct and its User Manual frm: The first field shws the where t dwnlad the database and the user manual fr the prduct. Value ranges g frm 1 t 64. Figure 4.5 Parameter detail In case yu intrduce a number higher than the maximum number f units allwed by yur license, yu will get a warning message. This is just fr infrmatin and will nt blck the cnfiguratin prcess. Cnfiguratins with mre indr units cnfigured than the nes allwed by the license will nt be dwnladed crrectly. Depending n the value selected, mre r less pririty will be assigned t this actin. As there are s many parameters available, it is imprtant t cnsider carefully hw t set this parameter. If set t ASAP, all status cmmunicatin bjects will send its value (if needed). If set t Slw, all status cmmunicatin bjects will send its value (if needed), but slwer than in the previus ptin (ASAP). If set t Super Slw, all status cmmunicatin bjects will send its value (if needed), but slwer than in the previus ptin (Slw). The errrs shwn have the same frmat as in the remte cntrller and in the errr list frm the indr unit manufacturer. When a 1 value is sent t the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bject, Heat mde will be enabled in the indr unit, and the Status_ bject will return this value. When a 0 value is sent t the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bject, Cl mde will be enabled in the indr unit, and the Status_ bject will return this value Enable use f + / - bject fr Mde This parameter shws/hides the Cntrl_ Mde +/- cmmunicatin bject which let s yu change the indr unit mde by using tw different datapint types. 10: If set t Disabled the bject will nt be shwn. (VRF line) 4.3 Glbal Fan Speed Cnfiguratin dialg Figure 4.13 Default Fan Speed Cnfiguratin dialg All the parameters in this sectin are related with the Fan Speed prperties and cmmunicatin bjects DPT bject type fr fan speed With this parameter is pssible t change de DPT fr the Cntrl_ Fan Speed and Status_ Fan Speed byte-type cmmunicatin bjects. Datapints Scaling (DPT_5.001) and Enumerated (DPT_5.010) can be selected. When Enumerated [DPT 5.010] is selected, Cntrl_ Fan Speed and Status_ Fan Speed cmmunicatin bjects fr this DPT will appear. Als, depending n the number f fan speeds selected, these bjects will be different. 11: 34: The first fan speed will be selected if a 1 is sent t the Cntrl_ bject. The secnd ne will be selected sending a 2, and the last ne sending a 3. The Status_ bject will always return the value fr the fan speed selected. Imprtant: If a 0 value is sent t the Cntrl_ bject, the minimum fan speed will be selected. If a value bigger than 3 is sent t the Cntrl_ bject, then the maximum fan speed will be selected. When Scaling [DPT 5.001] is selected, Cntrl_ Fan Speed and Status_ Fan Speed cmmunicatin bjects fr this DPT will appear. When a value between 50% and 83% is sent t the Cntrl_ bject, the secnd speed will be selected. When a value between 84% and 100% is sent t the Cntrl_ bject, the third speed will be selected. The Status_ bject will return a 33% when the first speed is selected, a 67% fr the secnd ne and a 100% fr the third ne. (VRF line) This parameter shws/hides the Cntrl_ Ambient Temperature cmmunicatin bject which lets yu use an ambient temperature reference prvided by a KNX device. 19: If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. Then, the fllwing frmula applies fr the calculatin f real Cntrl_ Setpint Temperature sent t the AC unit: AC Setp. Temp = Ambient ref. Temp - ( KNX Amb. Temp. - KNX Setp Temp. ) AC Setp. Temp: AC indr unit setpint temperature Ambient Ref. Temp: AC indr unit return temperature KNX Amb. Temp.: Ambient temperature prvided frm KNX KNX Setp. Temp: Setpint temperature prvided frm KNX As an example, cnsider the fllwing situatin: User wants: 19ºC ( KNX Setp. Temp. ) User sensr (a KNX sensr) reads: 21ºC ( KNX Amb Temp. ) Ambient temp. read by Haier system is: 24ºC ( Ambient Ref. Temp ) In this example, the final setpint temperature that HA-AC-KNX-8/16/64 will send ut t the indr unit (shwn in Setp. Temp. ) will becme 24ºC (21ºC - 19ºC) = 22ºC. This is the setpint that will actually be requested t Haier unit. This frmula will be applied as sn as the Cntrl_ Setpint Temperature and Cntrl_ Ambient Temperature bjects are written at least nce frm the KNX installatin. After that, they are kept always cnsistent. Nte that this frmula will always drive the AC indr unit demand in the right directin, regardless f the peratin mde (Heat, Cl r Aut).
