December is such an exciting time of the year to be in an elementary school and the blanket of snow completes the scene. Between staff and students, the building is electric with anticipation!

They showed off their talent and star-quality to a packed house in the Bellflower Winter 2016 production of How to Train Your Reindeer (to Fly).

Levkulich and the entire Connect Team for all of their hard work behind the scenes to make this show a success.

Students used everything from skittles to marshmallows to decorate their cardboard structures. We have some true gingerbread artists.

As our 13 Days of Holiday Spirit start to wind down, the Holiday Party is right around the corner.

Holiday party helpers will be permitted in the classrooms at 12:50 PM to set up for the party. The parties will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude promptly at 1:40 PM.

1 The Bridge to the Future Mentor Public Schools The Cornerstone of the Community Dear Parents, I don t know about you, but the weather in the last couple of weeks has thrown me for a loop! December is such an exciting time of the year to be in an elementary school and the blanket of snow completes the scene. Between staff and students, the building is electric with anticipation! For the last several weeks the Second Graders have been working under the direction of Mrs. Levkulich and the Connect Team to rehearse and prepare for their winter program. They showed off their talent and star-quality to a packed house in the Bellflower Winter 2016 production of How to Train Your Reindeer (to Fly). The children looked adorable in their reindeer antlers and elf costumes! We have some very gifted singers and actors. I would like to thank the Second Grade Team, Mrs. Levkulich and the entire Connect Team for all of their hard work behind the scenes to make this show a success. This week, our Fourth Grade students combined math skills with creativity to design, build and decorate gingerbread houses. Students used everything from skittles to marshmallows to decorate their cardboard structures. We have some true gingerbread artists. I m not sure who had more fun the taste-testing teachers or the students. Everywhere you go in the building, you can taste the sugar in the air! Please remember that, for safety reasons, parents must be on the list for the Holiday Party to be able to attend on Wednesday, December 21 st. Holiday party helpers will be permitted in the classrooms at 12:50 PM to set up for the party. The parties will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude promptly at 1:40 PM. This will allow all visitors enough time to clear the congestion in the parking lot prior to dismissal. We have noticed at school that many students are running low on school supplies. I hear from the North Pole that they make excellent stocking stuffers. Please consider asking Santa for help restocking your student s supplies pencils, crayons, etc. The Bellflower Staff would like to wish you all a safe and healthy holiday season. Please take a little time to relax and enjoy the extra time with your family. I hope your dreams come true with the magic of the season.
