In addition, we are offering an opportunity for you to meet with your after school staff to discuss your child in our program. Parents and guardians will be seen in the order they arrive. We ask that you keep your meeting time brief, as to accommodate all interested families. If you would like an extended meeting time or alternative date, please see your site coordinator to set up an appointment. Thank You! With our STEM Integration Specialist you ll discover and participate in STEM activities and learn about our offerings for Spring Classes and Summer Camps. DISCOVERY STEM Ages 4-6 Wednesday 5/16-6/13 10:30am Each day your child will learn and develop different STEM skills using real tools of science with our STEM Specialist, Anne Curry, M.Ed. Magnets, microscopes, Lego, and combined-technologies will be used to investigate the wonders of the Sciences. Our new STEM room serves as our maker space to bring science and engineering alive. Children will spend time outside investigating nature, so please dress for the weather! BUILDING CHALLENGES Grades 3-5 Thursday 5/17-6/14 2:30pm Our new STEM room is equipped with the materials needed to design, construct, and engage the building enthusiast! Each day will bring a new engineering and science challenge by our STEM Specialist, Anne Curry, M.Ed., in order to increase STEM skills and love for science and engineering. All lessons are aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards.
