1 Power Distribution System SVS Description The power distribution system SVS for raimounting distributes the votage potentias U and U, which are suppied by a DC V power suppy, to 8 ways ( x U, x U) and protects the connected oads seectivey by means of puggedin circuit breakers. With a maximum oad current of 8 A per way and a maximum tota current of 0 A the SVS provides ease of power distribution in short circuit imited DC V appications. Five protected»«oad outputs per way and 0 minusterminas significanty reduce wiring time. In each oad circuit the cabe cross sections and the current rating of the protective device must be seected according to the rating of the connected oad. The technica data of the circuit breaker used must be observed. According to Machinery Directive 98/7/EG and EN 00, Machine Safety specia precautions have to be taken in machinery (e. g. use of a safety PLC) to prevent inadvertent startup of machinery parts. In the event of a faiure (short circuit / overoad) the oad circuit wi be disconnected by the circuit breaker. The power distribution system must be instaed by quaified personne ony. The assemby is ony suitabe for use at safety extraow votage (DC V) Ony after expert instaation may the assemby be connected to a power suppy. After tripping of the circuit breaker and before reset the cause of tripping (short circuit or overoad) must be remedied. The internationa standards (e. g. DIN VDE 000 for Germany) must be observed with respect to instaation and seection of cabes. Connection to higher or not reiaby disconnected votages may be hazardous or cause damages.
