3.0 Summary The Casino property is prospective for lode gold vein mineralization. The property consists of 2 contiguous claim blocks that covers known Au-polymetallic vein mineralization identified in the BC Ministry of Mines (BCMEM) Minfile database as the CASINO RED CAP Past Producer (Minfile No. 082FSW158). The claims are located approximately 10km east of the Rossland Gold Camp. The Casino Property is located in the Trail Creek Mining Division, in the Central Kootenay Regional District, of South Eastern British Columbia, Canada. The property is located on the west side of the Columbia River, about 8 kilometres southeast of Trail near Casino Creek. Present access is by paved and gravel road from Trail. There is little publicly available documentation on the exploration and development history of the CASINO RED CAP past producer. What is available comes from BC Ministry of Mines (BCMEM) Minfile database. The CASINO RED CAP past producer was first developed in 1951 with an open cut on a vein trending southwest in to the side of the hill. By 1957 development of the vein(s) had resulted in two 61 metre drifts being driven on the near vertical vein. The drifts were 8m apart from one another. A stope 46 metres long was mined between the levels. In 1961 W.D. Mining Co. Ltd. operated the mine on a part-time basis. During the year 108 metres of diamond drilling was completed. Casino Gold Mines Ltd. held an option on the property from June to September A geological survey was made and some development work done on No. 1 level; diamond drilling in 5 holes was done from No. 1 level. The property was then bought by Messrs, Donelly, Pompu and Ernewin and in October stoping was begun above No. 1 level. During the first half of 1963 about 30 metres of crosscut and 23 metres of raise was completed; stoping was done on No. 1 vein between No. 1 and No. 3 levels. Columbia River Mines Ltd. was formed in November 1963 to acquire the property and assets of W.D. Mining Co. In 1964 a development program consisting of 625 metres of drifts, raises, and sub-levels was begun on Nos. 1, 2 and 3 veins. A total of 5,514 tonnes were mined over the life time of the mine. Based on published gold recovered and tonnes mined the average grade of the ore was g/tonne. The 2010 exploration program carried out by St. Elias Mines consisted of a geological review of Nelson-Rossland Map area and a preliminary verification rock geochemical sampling program from October 13 th to October 16 th The verification program was designed to evaluate the past producer Casino Red Cap (Minfile No. 82FSW158). A total of 9 rock samples were collected during the 2010 verification program. The results of the 2010 exploration program successfully verified the gold mineralization contained within the quartz veins associated with the CASINO RED CAP past producer. Values from 3.75 ppm to ppm Au were returned from samples that came from quartz veins. In the authors opinion based on the results of the 2010 exploration program the Casino property is a property of merit and deserves further exploration. Page 4
4.0 Introduction This report has been written in order to satisfy assessment requirements. The report describes the underlying geology of the project area, summarizes the property s exploration history and describes the exploration program carried out between October 14 th to October 16 th of 2010 on the Casino Property, 100% owned and operated by St. Elias Mines. The 2010 exploration work was carried out by the author of this report and with the aid of a seasoned prospector, Gerard Gallissant. All UTM locations given are from the NAD83 ZONE11 projection. 4.1 Property Description and Location The Casino Property is located in the Trail Creek Mining Division, in the Central Kootenay Regional District, of South Eastern British Columbia, Canada. 6 5.0 Accessibility, Infrastructure, Climate and Physiography 5.1 Accessibility and Infrastructure The Casino property is located on the west side of the Columbia River, approximately 8 kilometers southeast of the city of Trail near Casino Creek. Present access is by paved and gravel road from Trail. The BC Ministry of Mines (BCMEM) Minfile database incorrectly places the CASINO RED CRAP Past Producer (Minfile No. 082FS158), its true location is at m East and m North. The adit portal is located at the receiving end of a gun range. Trail offers many basic services such as food stores, fuel and lumber supplies. Driving time to Trail from Vancouver is approximately 9 hours. 5.2 Climate and Physiography The Casino property covers ground rising from 400 metres to about 1,100 metres above sealevel. A steep slope prevails throughout the western part of the property. The higher areas have sparse pine growth. The area has relatively cold winters and warm summers. Page 6
6.0 History of Exploration The following summary of the exploration history on the property is taken from the BC Ministry of Mines (BCMEM) Minfile database CASINO RED CRAP Past Producer (Minfile No. 082FS158). There is no record of any previous assessment reports for this past producer. In 1951 the Casino Red Cap claim was owned by T.P. Voiken & Associates of Trail. The showing was developed by an open cut 2 metres long and and 2 metres deep. A crosscut adit, collared 12 metres below the outcrop, was being driven towards the vein. Nothing more was done with the property until 1957 when Messrs, Wells and Donelly began development work on a part-time basis. Two drifts 61 metres long and 8 metres apart in elevation were driven on the near vertical vein. A stope 46 metres long and 2 metres wide was mined between the levels. A small amount of cross-cutting was done on the lower level. In 1961 the W.D. Mining Co. Ltd., consisting of 5 men with equal shares, operated the mine on a part-time basis. Page 7
7.0 Geological Setting The Casino Property lies within the Omineca belt, a zone of variably deformed and metamorphosed Proterozoic to Tertiary rocks along the boundary between accreted terranes and ancestral North America. The Omineca belt developed in Jurassic through Early Cretaceous time as Quesnellia was thrust over marginal North American and Kootenay terrane rocks and subsequently displaced eastward by folding and thrust faulting. This Mesozoic compressional deformation was followed by extensional tectonics in Eocene time. Plutonic rocks within the Omineca belt are common, and represent magmatism associated with both compressional and extensional tectonics. The tectonic boundary between Quesnellia and North American rocks is commonly marked by mafic volcanic rocks and associated ultramafics of the oceanic Slide Mountain terrane. South of Nelson, this boundary is defined by the Waneta and Tillicum fault systems; the contact is locally obscured or cut by either Middle Jurassic Nelson batholithic rocks or Late Cretaceous intrusions. The Casino Property is underlain by Lower Jurassic Rosland Group, Elise Formation rocks comprised of altered volcanics and sediments. Intruding the strata are a mass of the Middle to late Jurrasic Nelson Intrusions comprised of granodiorite to quartz diorite and a granitic stock of the Middle Eocene Sheppard Intrusion. Mineralization occurs in a series of narrow quartz veins along the north dipping contact of the Nelson granodioritic stock and the Rossland sediments to the southeast. The veins have a general north-east strike and dip steeply to the northwest, ranging in widths which average about 35.6 centimetres. Mineralization consists of galena, sphalerite, pyrite and arsenopyrite in a gangue of quartz. The arsenopyrite is auriferous and gold assays from the arsenopyrite range up to grams per tonne gold. Page 8
8.0 Exploration 8.1 Summary of exploration work carried out in 2010 The 2010 exploration program carried out by St. Each rock sample came from underground and the locations were noted in distance from the portal entrance. Large stopes have been extracted from the pas producer making it difficult to sample the exposed vein on the roof. Pillars and areas of no stoping were sampled. The portal entrance was determined to be located at m E and m N, with the aid of a hand held GPS (Garmin 60CSx) and is shown in Figures 2. Sample descriptions are listed in Appendix 2. All samples collected during the 2010 exploration program were submitted to SGS, of Vancouver, for analysis. Rock samples were crushed, split, and ring pulverized (250g, > 95% mesh). 30 grams of the -150 mesh (<106 µm) sieved fraction of the rock sample was fire assayed with an atomic absorption finish for gold and 0.5 grams of the sample was digested with 5 ml 3:1 HCl/HNO3 at 950C for 2 hours and diluted to 25 ml with a 50-element ICP-MS finish. The elements analyzed for each rock sample and their detection and upper limits are listed in Table 2. Table 2. Based on the fact that the sampling program was designed to verify the mineralization present in the past producer no additional QA and QC procedures were implemented as part of the program. Sample Certificates from the 2010 exploration program are included in Appendix 3. Page 9
In the authors opinion the sample security employed by the field personnel involved in the sample collection and the sample preparation and analytical procedures employed by SGS are adequate for the exploration program carried out by St. Elias Mines on the Casino Property. 8.3 Rock Geochemical Results The 2010 outcrop verification program culminated in the collection of 9 rock samples. Samples were collected from a quartz veins and other silicified mineralized structures. Results for Au, Ag, As, Cu, Mo, Bi Te, Pb and Zn from the 2010 rock samples are presented in Table 3. Table 3. Geochemical Summary Statistics: North Slope Polymetallic Shear Zone Au (g/tonne) Ag (ppm) As (ppm) Cu (ppm) Mo (ppm) Bi (ppm) Te (ppm) Pb (ppm) Zn (ppm) Casino Casino Casino Casino Casino Casino Casino Casino Casino Veins sampled ranged in width from 10 cm to 100 cm. The vein system consists of irregular, discontinuous veins within altered Elise metasediments. The sample Casino 01 came from a pillar approximately 50 m into the workings. The sample was taken a cross a 30 cm wide arsenopyrite bearing quartz vein. Casino 05 came from a quartz vein 80 cm wide approximately 84 m into the old workings. Casino 02, 07, and 08 came from silicified sulphide bearing structures within the Elise formation that did not contain quartz vein material. All samples collected from quartz veins contained significant gold mineralization from 3.75 ppm to ppm. Page 10
10.0 Conclusions and Recommendations Preliminary verification sampling at the Casino property confirmed the gold mineralization reported by BC Ministry of Mines (BCMEM) Minfile database on the Casino Red Cap past producer (Minfile no. 82FSW158). Samples from quartz veins returned gold assays from 3.75 ppm to ppm. It is recommended that a grid be established in the underground workings to aid in a detailed survey of the workings and detailed sampling and mapping of exposed vein material. Page 11
