Incident Number: Incident Name: CR-74 Closure due to Low Visibility Occurred: 11/20/ :10 ET Reported to SWO: 11/20/ :10 ET Affecting: Charlotte Involving: Petroleum Spill, Road Closure or DOT Issue, Vehicle, Weather Reports Summary: CR-74 has been closed for several hours due to low visibility from fog in Punta Gorda causing several vehicle accidents which have resulted in a 100-gallon diesel release, a cargo load of soda to release and a cargo load of bees to escape. One unconfirmed fatality has been reported. The container was found 1/3 full and the container and area was assessed for evidence of a release. FDOT was on scene due to a bridge being involved but no structural damage was reported.
