4 TIN: Triangulated Irregular Network Alternativa ravnomjernom rasporedu visinskih točaka u DEM-u TIN model razvijan je u ranim 1970im kao jednostavni način modeliranja reljefa iz nepravilne mreže točaka Nekoliko je prototipova napravljeno u sedamdesetim godinama 20. st. Komercijalni sustavi s implementacijom TIN modela javljaju se u 1980im, a neki uključeni u GIS pakete
5 Nepravilan razmještaj točaka može se prilagoditi obilježjima reljefa (više točaka u prostorima gdje je dinamičniji reljef, a manje tamo gdje je blaži Nepravilno razmještene točke pridonose efikasnosti prikaza reljefa TIN model točke povezane crtama formiraju trokute Unutar svakog trokuta reljef je prikazan ravnom plohom trokuta U određenim slučajevima opravdano je koristiti kompleksnije poligone kao dijelove mozaika, ali se oni uvijek mogu razbiti u trokute Npr. Plato u koji je usječena vododerina (dio ravnjaka izvan vododerine jest kompleksni poligon, a u TIN modelu prikazan je s nekoliko trokuta u ravnini iste nadmorske visine TIN trokuti imaju atribute nagiba, orijentacije i površine Dobri rezultati kod: Fluvijalnog reljefa (reljef nastao fluvijalnom erozijom) Glacijalni reljef nije dobar Mreža trokuta najbolja primjena kod naglih promjena nagiba, gdje se rubovi trokuta mogu poistovjetiti s pregibima (breaks), ili duž grebena ili kanala
6 Kreiranje TIN-a Usprkos njegovoj jednostavnosti, kreiranje TIN modela zahtijeva: Izbor točaka Selekcijom iz postojećih podataka (DEM ili digitalizirane izohipse) TIN od 100 točaka dobar koliko i DEM od nekoliko stotina piksela Kako spojiti točke u trokute? Kako modelirati teren unutar svakog trokuta Uvijek ravna ploha Izohipse su paralelne unutar svakog trokuta, ali se oštro lome na rubovima trokuta Kod implementacije nekih TIN modela koriste se matematički algoritmi kako bi se osigurala kontinuirana, a ne nagla promjena padine na rubovima trokuta
7 Izbor točaka Izvor: DEM ili digitalizirane izohipse kako selektirati točke za najtočniji prikaz (model) reljefa Tri metode selektiranja iz DEM-a Sve se temelje na odabiru točaka gdje se nagib površine reljefa naglo mijenja Takvi nagli prijelazi karakteristični su za reljef
8 Fowler-ov and Little-ov algoritam Temelji se na izboru specifičnih točaka površine reljefa tj. prikaz reljefnih oblika vrhovi i udubine
9 VIP (Very Important Points) algoritam Za razliku nekih algoritama (Fowlero-ov, Littleov) koji zahvaća glavna obilježja reljefa, ovaj razmatra reljef lokalno To je simplificirana metoda koja se koristi u ARC/INFO-u
10 Triangulacija Kako spojiti točke u trokute više načina Najidealnije da kutovi trokuta budu što bliži vrijednosti od 60 To je vrlo bitno jer prikaz površine reljefa najtočniji je u točkama (vrhovima trokuta) Dvije su metode kako izgraditi mrežu trokuta Najviše se koristi Delauneyeva triangulacija
11 TIN 3 točke čine Delauney-ev trokut onda i samo onda ako kružnica koja njima prolazi ne sadrži druge točke

14 Delaunayeva triangulacija 3 točke čine Delauney trokut onda i samo onda ako kružnica koja prolazi tim točkama ne sadrži nijednu drugu točku Drugi način definiranja Delauneyeve triangulacije: Pridružiti dio područja koje je najbliže nekoj točki Tako nastale granice čine tzv. Thiessenove poligone (Voronoi dijagram) Točke su povezane u Delauneyevoj triangulaciji ako su njihovi poligoni susjedni (graniče) Stranice Thiessenovog poligona su simetrale stranica trokuta Delauneyeve triangulacije

Atributna baza podataka Polygons Var 1 Var 2 A B C D itd. Visinske točke (nodes) izabrane na temelju kompleksnosti reljefa (z vrijednost) i određen je njihov 3D položaj (x,y,z). 2 1 E A B 3 D 4 C F 6 H G 5 Visinske točke povezane tako da čine nepravilnu mrežu trokuta; koji su prikazani u vektorskoj strukturi podataka. Atributivni podaci povezani kroz relacijsku bazu podataka (npr. nagib padina, orijentiranost padina, itd.) Prednosti pred rasterom: Manje točaka Sačuvani su diskontinuiteti (npr. hrptovi) Nagib i orijentacija padina lako se bilježe Nedostaci: Ako se preklapaju s drugim poligonima to su računalno intenzivne operacije (s obzirom na broj poligona). Analize koje podrazumijevaju
16 TIN: Triangulated Irregular Network Prednost pred rasterom: Variranje gustoće podataka (npr. u prikazivanju reljefa tamo gdje su strmije padine ili izrazite strmine u ovom se modelu može povećati količina podataka u tom dijelu kako bi što točnije bio aproksimiran reljef) Drugi tipovi površinskih pojava: koncentracija kemijskih tvari, razina vode temeljnice, količina oborina i sl.
17 Način prikaza TIN-a Prikaz točaka i linija te trokuta Najčešće za provjeru podataka
18 Način prikaza TIN-a Prikaz reljefa sjenčanjem Zadan pravac sunčevih zraka (izračunava se kut između normale i pravca upada sunčevih zraka) Količina reflektirane svjetlosti proporcionalna je kosinusu gore spomenutog kuta.
19 Način prikaza TIN-a Prikaz reljefa hipsometrijskom metodom (visinski pojasevi) Linearna interpolacija unutar svakog trokuta (interpolacija izohipsi)

26 TIGER datoteke TIGER File: nasljednik Dime datoteka za popis Sadržavaju selektirane geografske i kartografske informacije iz baze podataka popisa 1990.: MAF/TIGER database (Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing).
