4 Case Narrative Client: Edwards Aquifer Authority TestAmerica Job I: 0-- Job I: 0-- Laboratory: Narrative Comments No additional comments. Job Narrative 0-- Receipt The samples were received on //0 :0 AM; the samples arrived in good condition, properly preserved and, where required, on ice. The temperatures of the coolers at receipt time were 0.º C, 0.º C, 0.º C, 0.º C, 0.º C, 0.º C,.0º C,.0º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.º C,.0º C,.0º C,.º C,.º C and.º C. Except: 0 Samples - have a deviation in time by five minutes the samples were matched and labeled and submitted for analysis. GC/MS VOA No analytical or quality issues were noted. GC/MS Semi VOA Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Semi-volatiles using Method 0C. A full list spike was utilized for this method. ue to the large number of spiked analytes, there is a high probability that one or more analytes will recover outside acceptance limits. The laboratory's SOP allows for analytes to recover outside criteria for this method when a full list spike is utilized. The LCS associated with batch 0 had, -ichlorobenzidine analyte outside control limits; therefore, re-extraction/re-analysis was not performed. These results have been reported and qualified. No other analytical or quality issues were noted. GC Semi VOA Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Pesticides using Method 0B. The laboratory control sample (LCS) and/or the laboratory control sample duplicate (LCS) for batch 0-00 recovered outside control limits for the following analytes: delta-b, endosulfan I and endosulfan II. Samples re-extracted out of hold. Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Pesticides using Method 0B. The laboratory control sample (LCS) and/or the laboratory control sample duplicate (LCS) for batch 0-0 recovered outside acceptance limits for delta-b, endosulfan I, endosulfan II. There was insufficient sample to perform a re-extraction or re-analysis; therefore, the data have been reported. Samples 0--,,,,,, 0,,., and were analyzed for PCBs using Method 0A. surrogates are used for this analysis. The laboratory's SOP allows of these surrogates to be outside acceptance criteria without performing re-extraction/re-analysis. The following sample contained C ecachlorobiphenyl surrogate outside acceptable limits and Tetrachloro-m-xylene was within acceptable limits. These results have been reported and qualified. Sample 0-- was analyzed for Pesticides using Method 0. surrogates are used for this analysis. Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Pesticides using Method B: The laboratory control sample (LCS) and / or the laboratory control sample duplicate (LCS) for batch 0-00 recovered outside control limits for the following analytes: malathion, coumaphos. Samples re-extracted out of hold Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Pesticides using Method B. The laboratory control sample (LCS) for batch 0-0 recovered outside acceptance limits for malathion, coumaphos. There was insufficient sample to perform a re-extraction or re-analysis; therefore, the data have been reported. Page of 0 //0
5 Case Narrative Client: Edwards Aquifer Authority TestAmerica Job I: 0-- Job I: 0-- (Continued) Laboratory: (Continued) Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Herbicides using Method A. This method incorporates the use of second column confirmation. Corrective action for unacceptable percent recovery is not taken for surrogate or spike compounds unless the results from both columns are outside criteria. Any results which fall outside criteria are qualified and reported. Extracted contamination coelutes with,-caa on secondary column. Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for Pesticides using Method. The laboratory control sample and the laboratory control sample duplicate (LCS/LCS) for batches 0-0 and 0-00 recovered outside control limits for the following analyzes: ichlorvos, emeton-o and Naled. ichlorvos, ementon-o and Naled have been identified as a poor performing analyte when analyzed using this method. Therefore, re-extraction and/or re-analysis was not performed. These results have been reported and qualified. No other analytical or quality issues were noted. Metals No analytical or quality issues were noted. 0 General Chemistry Sample 0-- was anlayzed for Nitrate using Method This sample was analyzed outside of analytical holding time due to heavy load of samples(missed by hr from hrs holding time). Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for ph using Method 00C. This analysis is normally performed in the field and has a method-defined holding time of minutes. These sample has been qualified with the "HF" flag to indicate analysis was performed in the laboratory outside the minute time frame. Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were analyzed for TOC using Method 00. The method blank contained TOC above the method detection limit (ML). This target analyte concentration was less than the reporting limit (); therefore, re-extraction and/or re-analysis of samples was not performed. No other analytical or quality issues were noted. Organic Prep Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were prepped/analyzed for PCBs using Methods /0A. ue to insufficient sample no matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate (MS/MS) associated with batch 0. Samples 0--,,,,,,,,, 0,,,,,, and were prepped/analyzed for Semi-volatiles using Methods 0/0. ue to insufficient sample no matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate (MS/MS) associated with batch 00. No other analytical or quality issues were noted. Page of 0 //0
