4 .Troubleshooting and service of the Power Supply oard.principle of Power Supply Operation This appliance adopts a switched-mode power supply, which is assembled with the TEP power switch module from Philips and is capable of protecting itself from over-current, over-voltage, over-heat and short-circuit. The circuit mainly stabilizes a t.v and fluctuate within a permissible range, such as V, V, -V,.V and -V. Please pay attention to the high voltage inside the white silkscreen with the mark UTION on the P while repairing. When using an oscillograph to check the circuit,an isolated transformer must be connected..troubleshooting and Service l.v voltage varies out of the permissible range Please check whether the sampling resistor R and R is eroded, and check if the voltage of the first pin of the regulating fiducial I U0 (TL) is.v. If the deviation is over 0.V, then TL is defected or eroded and needs to be replaced. When repairing, do not loop.v sampling circuit, that is, do not open-circuit, L0, R, R, R, U0 (PY) and U0; otherwise, the output voltage will be too high and will damage the subsequent circuits. lll the output voltages are 0V and the voltage of the anode of capacitor 0 is over 0Vheck whether V,.V, V, -V and -V are short. heck if pin of U0 has 00KHz vibrating signal, if not, then U0 is eroded. lv and V voltage are not normal, while other voltages are normalheck whether 0, R, L0 and Z0 are open or short, whether, and are short or leak electricity. ny problem of these components will result in abnormal V and V voltage. Open-circuit or short-circuit of, L0, Z0, R and Q0, and electricity-leakage and short-circuit of,,, and will result in abnormal V voltage. l-v and - voltage are not normal, while other voltages are normalheck whether R, 0, 0, R, R and R are open or short, whether, and are short or leak electricity. lll output voltages are under permissible range (refer to. of hapter one)heck whether Z 0, 0 and R0 are defected or eroded. If.V output is normal and other voltages are under range, check if the appliance is in standby mode. In standby mode, it is rational that all voltages except.v are not normal. If in playing mode,.v output is normal, V output is 0V or too low, please check whether V is short-circuit and whether R0, Q0, Z0,, R,,,, and are defected or eroded.
5 . Troubleshooting and Service of the Loader a. No running of loader a). heck whether the P ribbon wire to loader is in good contact. b). heck whether V voltage is normal. c). heck whether laser voltage ( about V for V and.v for V respectively ) exists at the pole of Q and Q, and whether U and adjacent parts are damaged or weld falsely. d). If the above parts are normal and no laser emits, replace the loader. b. Read no disc a). heck whether the ribbon wire from P to loader is in good contact. b). heck whether the RFO signal of the 0th pin of N is transmitted to the th pin of U. c). heck whether laser voltage (about V for V and.v for V respectively) exists at the pole of Q and Q, and whether the voltage is normal. d) heck whether U, U and adjacent parts are damaged or weld falsely. e). If the above parts are normal, replace U or the loader. c. Read V discs only or read other discs beyond V only a). heck whether the ribbon wire from P to loader is in good contact. b). heck whether laser voltage of V outputs at the pole of Q, and whether the th pin of U is at low level. c). heck whether the pins from the st to the th of U and adjacent parts are weld falsely, damaged or erode. d). If the above parts are normal, replace U or the loader.. Troubleshooting and service of decoding part a. No video, no audio, no display on VF, and no operation of keys a). heck whether the power sources of the decoder board are normal. b). heck whether there is MHz signal output. If not, X crystal and adjacent parts are eroded or damaged. c). heck whether there is MHz signal output at R. If not, check whether there is short circuit, false welding or alien substance for audio / circuit U and SRM U and U. d). heck whether the reset circuit composed of, R and is normal (constant 0V after tens of milliseconds of high level). If it is at low level constantly,, R and are damaged. e). If the reset level is normal, check whether the chip selection signal, address and data of the th pin of U are normal. f). heck U0 that whether the data of pins from the st to the th, hsync and vsync signal of the 0th and th pins, and MHz signal of the th pin are normal, and whether and R are normal. If not, replace U0.
6 g). When U works normally, check the connection between U, U and U. If abnormal, replace U or U. h). Replace the main chip U after making sure no damage to the adjacent parts and no short circuit or false welding for the circuit board.. Troubleshooting and service of video part ). Normal sound, no video picture heck U0 that whether the data of pins from the st to the th, hsync and vsync signal of the 0th and th pins, and MHz signal of the th pin are normal, and whether and R are normal. If not, replace U0. ). bnormal color of the video picture a). If there are horizontal or vertical streaks, or improper color appears on the picture after reading a disc, the U decoding servo chip on the decoder board or U EEPROM may be in problems. b). heck board whether the.v and.v power sources are normal, whether the ripple factor is too high, and whether the data wire of Y(0, ) between U and U0 is normal. c). heck whether the video filter network circuit on the decoder board works normally.. Troubleshooting and service of audio part a. Normal picture, no sound a). Firstly, check whether the V and -V power sources for the operational amplifier I U~U are normal. b). heck whether the poles of muting tube Q, Q, Q, Q, Q and Q0 are at low level constantly. If so, the above tubes are not in good conditions. c). heck whether the output of poles of Q and Q are at high levels constantly. If so, Q and Q have been broken down, or 0 are short. d). heck whether the six audio signal lines on the 0P ribbon wire from decoder board to output board are in good contact. If abnormal, replace the ribbon wire. heck the signal reaching the input of U~U. If the input is normal while the output is not, replace the operational amplifier I. e). heck whether the signals of the th, th, st, rd, th and th pins of U on the decoder board are normal. If not, check the signals of the pins from the nd to the th. If the clock signals of LK, K and LRK output by U are normal after R0, RN and R are disconnected, replace U. b. istorted audio and loud noise a). Firstly, check whether the V and -V power sources for the operational amplifier I U~ are normal. b). heck whether the muting tubes are in good conditions. c). heck whether the signals of the th, th, st, rd, th and th pins of U on the decoder board are normal. If not, check the signals of the pins from the nd to the th. If the clock signals of LK, K and LRK output by U are normal after R0, RN and R are disconnected, replace U. c. Pop noise during ON/OFF heck whether the MUTE signal line on the output board is broken, then check whether Q, Q, muting tubes and adjacent parts are damaged or eroded.
7 . Troubleshooting and service of KROKE part a. Microphone with sound but no echo a). heck whether the level of the st pin of U on the KROKE board is V. If not, check whether JP is damaged. b). If the voltage is proper, check whether there is anything wrong with the adjacent parts of U. b. No sound of microphone a). heck whether the microphone indicator on VF lights. If the level of pole of Q is low, the and E poles of Q are short. b). heck whether the power source of U on the KROKE board is normal and with microphone signal output. If not, check whether the parts of input circuit for microphone jack are damaged and check whether the microphone jack is rusty or short. c. The sound of microphone can not be turned off heck whether Q and Q are open or not in good contact. d. self-excitation once KROKE is turned on heck whether the adjacent parts of U on the KROKE board are damaged.. Full screen display or no display on VF a). Full screen display on VF is often caused by abnormal -V bias voltage. heck whether, and R are disconnected. b). If there is no display on VF, firstly, check whether the filament lights in red. If not, and there is no.v voltage difference between and, check whether, and R are damaged. If the filament is not red, while.v voltage difference exists between and, replace VF. c). If -V and - voltage are normal, check whether there are S, T and LK signals from N0 on the front board.
