6 Career 3. Table 4 below shows SCC 2016 mid pay rate for the social worker and occupational therapist career pay model and 2017 market data. 4. SCC aims to pay above the market average for SW & OT s as determined by the 2016 Reward Strategy. The differential in the market rates (as shown below) should enable SCC to maintain an above average market position without the need for any further adjustments. 7 Cost of Trade Union Claim and Alternative Proposal Trade Union Claim The cost of implementing the trade union claim has been estimated at: 12m for non-schools, and 15m for schools. T U Alternative Proposals 1. Alternative trade union proposal: a. A further increases to the minimum pay point on grade PS1/2 in order to move above the Foundation living wage rate. b. Increasing the frozen maximum pay points on both the job family and career pay model by 1% 2. The estimated additional cost of increasing the maximum frozen pay points on the job family and career pay models by 1% is estimated at 1m. 7
