EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Wheaton claims cover a portion of Cache Creek Complex, which consists of obducted ultramafic rocks variably deformed and serpentinized and associated intrusive, volcanic and sedimentary rocks. First Point Minerals Corp. completed regional reconnaissance mapping and sampling, and has confirmed that the geological environment consists of peridotite, sediments, intrusive and volcanic rocks. Fine Ni Fe alloy grains have been found in three areas of the property but the amounts are low and the local coarse grains up to 200 microns are composed of awaruite and sulphides. Follow up fieldwork in 2011 will include fly camp based reconnaissance level mapping and sampling survey to assess for awaruite mineralization in unexplored parts of the property. 2

1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background The Wheaton claim group staked by First Point Minerals Corp. on March 23 rd, 2010 covers an area of 3466 ha. On November 17 th 2010, First Point Minerals Corp. to purchased 4 new claims which cover an area of 1206 ha. To date, the Wheaton claim group, including those acquired on November 17 th, cover a total area of 4672 ha. The claim group was acquired to explore for Ni Fe alloy hosted in ultramafic rocks. 1.2 Location and Access The Wheaton property is located approximately 70km east southeast of Dease Lake in northern BC (Figure 1), within the Cassiar Mountains and about 18km north of Stikine River National Park, northwest of Letain Lake. Access to the property is provided by tractor roads. Wheaton Fort St. John Dawson Creek Prince Rupert Terrace Prince George Figure 1: Location of Wheaton property in Northern BC. 5

1.3 Claim Data This assessment report covers 13 claims (listed in Table 1) for a total area of approximately 47 square kilometers. Claims are located in Figure 2, centered on coordinates 58 o 35 N, 128 o 91 W or 505,300E, 6,467,700N (Zone 9, NAD 83) on NTS map 104/I7. Dates are good until including this assessment report. 7 Figure 2: Location of Wheaton Claims with tenure numbers that correlate to Table History On the west margin of the property the Wheaton (Boulder) Creek gold placer deposits were discovered in 1932 (Holland, 1940) and they are still producing alluvial gold in Numerous prospectors and companies have investigated the area near and within Wheaton property for jade (Nephro Jade Canada, assessment report 5815), asbestos (Cassiar Asbestos, assessment report 6470), placer gold (Bullion Creek Mines, minfile 104I 011). There is no history of production of Nickel in the area. 1.5 Current Work Geologists Henry Marsden and Marie des Neiges Gagnon and field assistants Garth Thomson and Ian Carr explored the Wheaton claims for 2 days (July 18 th and 19 th ) at the instigation of supervisor Ron Britten. Initial regional exploration involved silt and rock sampling and basic geological mapping. 7

Garmin GPS 60 datas, using projection NAD 83 zone 9, were downloaded into the computer using the Garmin MapSource software. The datas were then copied into an excel spreadsheet. The sample ID and location were later matched with technical datas corresponding to the rock and silt samples location and mineralogy (Annexe I and II). The data were imported into MapInfo for spacial plotting. All other technical outcrop, structural and interpretation was compiled with excel and imported into MapInfo. 2.0 REGIONAL GEOLOGY The Wheaton property covers part of the Cache Creek Terrane within the tectonic belt of the Intermontane. It represents a tectonically emplaced ophiolite and island arc sequence dating from Devonian to Early Jurassic. It is separated from the volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Quesnellia Terrane by the Thibert fault to the north and the Kutcho Fault to the west (figure 3). The transition between the Cache Creek Terrane and the southern sediments and volcanics of Stikinia Terrane is marked by the King Salmon Fault. The ophiolitic sequence of Cache Creek Terrane is named Cache Creek Complex (figure 4) and ranges between Mississipian and Triassic in age. The ultramafic units represent the basal sequence (upper mantle, lower crust) of the ophiolite. They are composed of variably serpentinized peridotite and dunite, recognized by their tan orange color, and gabbros. The upper and younger part of this ophiolite is composed of volcanics and sediments where they are normally fault contacts. Partially serpentinized peridotite is the most abundant lithology within the ultramafic units. It exhibits a dark green to black color, 10 20% orthopyroxenes, minor augite and traces of chrome spinel. Weathered surfaces are orange/brown. Locally, pyroxenes can have a creamy alteration color. Some outcrops contain numerous asbestos veins or veinlets. The contact with volcanic rocks is marked by orange weathered dunite. The contact between ultramafics and sediments is characterized by the presence of listwanite. Numerous jade occurrences have been found within the ultramafics, as well as some rodingites (Gabrielse, 1998). Mafic intrusive rocks and volcanics are associated to ultramafics. Intrusive rocks include gabbro, hornblende rich gabbro and diorite, and exhibits medium to coarse grained and pegmatitic textures. Layered gabbros show mafic rich and felsic rich layers. Mafic minerals are often completely altered to actinolite and feldspar to albite. Mafic volcanics are characterized by their very fine grained or vesicular texture and their dark green weathering (Gabrielse, 1998). Sediments composing the Cache Creek Complex include phyllite, limestone and chert. They are thinly bedded, show a dark/grey weathering and are sometimes stained with 8

iron oxides. Muscovite could be an important constituent of the phyllites, giving the rocks a particular silver shine. Limestone, dolomitic limestone and dolostone form discontinuous bodies within the ultramafics (Gabrielse, 1998). 9

3.0 PROPERTY GEOLOGY 3.1 Units Two main rock units belong to the Cache Creek Complex occur on the property, ultramafics and mainly sediments (Figure 5). The ultramafic belt is at least 8 km long trending northwest and is variable to maximum 4 km width. The ultramafic consists mainly of peridotite (harzburgite) and dunite and is bound on the northeast and southwest by sediments and minor volcanics. An area of sediments occurs in the central west portion of the ultramafic body where foliations trend northwest and dip steeply (Gabrielse 1998). Harzburgite is the most common rock type of the property and is altered to variable serpentine. Fine to medium grained olivines compose 65 to 90% of this rock type, while fine to coarse grained pyroxenes range from 10 to 35%. Orthopyroxenes are most common and exhibit as altered tabular phenocrysts. Pale tan color weathering of the harzburgite contrasts sharply from darker weathering orange/brown color of the dunite. Harzburgites are weakly to strongly magnetic and altered to serpentine or Fecarbonates. Percentage of serpentinization varies between 40 80%. Tectonized peridotite occurs in local areas where they exhibit moderately penetrative foliated textures caused by ductile deformation. Orthopyroxenes are elongate in the direction of the foliation. Tectonized peridotite is darker and harder than moderately serpentinized harzburgite and is usually totally serpentinized. Small dunite lenses contain less than 5% pyroxenes and accessory chromite. Serpentine alteration varies from moderate to strong. Dunites are generally massive and less magnetic than harzburgites. They occur as small pods hosted by the harzburgite. Ultramafics of the western end of belt are homogeneous harzburgites while the eastern are black, very fine grained and exhibit a greenish serpentine alteration. Fe carbonate alteration of peridotite is usually observed close to contacts with sediments. Large panels of sediments include phyllite and limestone with northwest trending steeply dipping foliations. The presence of micas in the phyllite imparts a shiny grey luster. Limestone bedding is parallel to the foliation. Small mafic intrusive rocks (gabbros) and mafic volcanics have been found in the sediments. Contact metamorphism between sediment and possibly the volcanic unit are intruded by intrusions generating very hard, dark and fine grained hornfels or paragneiss defined by variable mafic and felsic layering possibly after volcanics. Overburden covers an area of about 2.5 X 0.6 km in the central zone of the property. 13

Lithologies Sediment (phyllite Ultramafic (peridotite, dunite) Overburden Fe-carbonate alteration Figure 5: Geology map of the Wheaton property after Gabrielse (1998) and fieldwork Structure Microfractures in hand sample indicate that the ultramafics underwent multiple breakage and brecciation events prior to and during serpentinization. Asbestos occurrences in the Wheaton property area indicate that breakage of the rocks also happened in a continental environment during the final stage of obduction on the continental margin. Post alteration fault and shear zones are marked by slickensides, gouge and breccia textures. Bedding of limestone is parallel to the main foliation, which is approximately northwest to west. Contacts between the different units are generally faulted. 14

3.3 Alteration Two types of alteration, serpentinization and Fe Carbonate/silicification, are common within the Wheaton property. Normally moderate to strong fine grained serpentinization alters harzburgite and dunite mainly replacing the olivines imparting a light to dark green color. Fe Carbonate alteration and silicification are widespread throughout the property, weathers to a bright orange color, is weak to moderately magnetic and contains fine grained micas (green fuchsite or white/brown muscovite). This rock type is highly friable. 3.4 Mineralization Fine awaruite grains ( µm) are disseminated in the matrix in serpentinized harzburgite associated with magnetite and serpentine and been have noted in three locations (Fig. 8). Composite grains ( µm) containing a mixture of Ni Fe alloy and Ni Fe sulphides occur in southern margin of the property. 4.0 GEOCHEMISTRY 4.1 Rocks Seventeen rock samples have been collected during the 2010 field campaign and 15 are peridotites or harzburgites while 2 are dunites (Figure 6 and 7). Three samples of peridotite contain awaruite grains of 50 to 100 microns in trace amounts and 1 sample shows rare composite grains of of 50 to 200 microns (size 1 3 on Figure 8). No awaruite was noted in dunites. Descriptions of the rocks are presented in Appendix I. 15

5.0 CONCLUSIONS The Wheaton property covers part of the Cache Creek Complex, which is an obducted ophiolitic sequence. The different units observed within the claims are ultramafics (harzburgite, dunite), sedimentary rocks (phyllite, limestone), intrusive rocks (gabbro) and mafic volcanics. This preliminary exploration work demonstrates that ultramafics host Ni Fe alloy on the Wheaton Property. Trace amounts of fine disseminated awaruite grains occur in serpentinized harzburgites and one occurrence of composite grains of awaruite and sulphide. 6.0 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE WORK Field work in 2011 will involve additional reconnaissance level mapping and stream sediments sampling in unexplored areas of the property including the claims acquired late Future work will require fly camp and helicopter support for mapping and sampling. 34
