Results presented include 1/2 the detection limit for congeners reported by the laboratory as non-detect. Data are expressed on a total dioxin mass concentration per sample basis. These results are OT expressed as TEQs. [3] Total dioxin TEQs were calculated using WHO (199) toxic equivalency factors. Congeners reported by the laboratory as non-detect were assumed to be present at 1/2 the detection limit. Wipe samples were collected from a 30cm x 10cm (300 cm 2 ) area. To calculate results on a per cm 2 basis, the seventeen 2,3,,8-substituted dioxin congeners were multiplied by their respective TEF and summed to represent a total dioxin TEQ level per 300 cm 2 area; then, the total dioxin TEQ concentration in a wipe sample was divided by 300 cm 2. [4] Four surface wipe samples collected on 04/08/02 are included in this table for comparison purposes. s were collected from an 15.24cm x cm (232 cm 2 ) area using a wipe-scrape-wipe procedure. Wipe samples were assayed for dioxins by Alta Analytical Laboratory using the same chemical testing method. [5] Two surface wipe samples (and three blanks) collected on 05/16/02 are included in this table for comparison purposes. s were collected from an 300 cm 2 area using a wipe-scrape-wipe procedure.
