1 November 14, 2018 Dear Parents/Guardians: RINGWOOD BOARD OF EDUCATION TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT 121 Carletondale Road Ringwood, NJ Tel: (973) Fax: (973) Debbie Lypowy Transportation Supervisor The following information is provided with the intent of establishing parameters in the event Ringwood Schools find it necessary to have a delayed opening or an early dismissal for reasons of inclement weather during the school year. The notice of emergency closings or delayed openings will appear on Cablevision TV CHANNEL 77, NEWS 12 NJ and on the Ringwood website at The automated phone message system will be activated by Superintendent Dr. Nicholas Bernice of Ringwood Schools, sending the necessary information to the telephone numbers provided by you at the beginning of the school year. Please ensure that any phone numbers and emergency contact numbers that have been changed are updated and on file in your child s school office. In the event, you have missed the automated phone message, any unanticipated emergency, a delayed opening or emergency closing, you may also call the district phone message system at for updated information. Please do not call the Transportation Office for this information, as these calls interfere with emergency situations that arise during inclement weather. Parents are advised that it is their responsibility to notify the bus stop designee of any emergency bus stop changes that affect their child(ren) s drop off location. It is our hope and expectation that an adult would be present at the emergency bus stop. In the event you wish a child discharged at an emergency bus stop other than your own, a signed permission slip with new child release information MUST be on file at the principal s office of the respective school(s) and also at the Transportation Department. In any situation the Ringwood School system determines the need for a delayed opening or early dismissal as a result of inclement weather, the emergency bus stop is IN EFFECT. The information provided below is for your child s (children s) EMERGENCY FOR THE FOLLOWING COOPER SCHOOL ROUTES: (CLICK ROUTE # TO FOLLOW LINK) C-2 / C-3 / C-4 / C-5 / C-6 PLEASE BE ADVISED THESE ARE APPROXIMATE S STUDENTS STILL NEED TO BE AT S 5 MINUTES
