2 Overall Risk Rating Substantial Substantial Implementation Status and Key Decisions The restructuring of the project was approved on August 4, 2014, with key elements including, extension of the closing date by 24 months until December, 31, 2017, dropping the construction of Neikovtsi dam and cancellation of Euro 11 million. The restructuring legal documents were ratified by the National Assembly of Bulgaria and entered into force on December 9, 2014 and the contract for Plovdivtsi Dam and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) was signed on the same day. The progress with project activities is as follows: All but one contract for Component 1, Project Implementation Support, have been signed. Only the contract for supervision at the Studena Pernik WTP is still to be procured. Component 2 of the project, Preparation of Regional Master Plans, was successfully completed in March The implementation of Component 3, Construction and Rehabilitation of Dams and WTPs, is still experiencing delays. Only for Plovdivtsi Dam the contract is signed. Contractor has fully mobilized and actively working. However, there is a need for acceleration.
