The selected corridor means the road section from Ja-Ela to Chilaw on National Highway A003 in Sri Lanka. Project Restructuring: The project was restructured to address several changes made to the Financing Agreement (FA) as well as to address the impact of the delay in the implementation of the project. 2. Project Effectiveness: Subsequent to the approval of the restructuring package including the amended FA, legal clearance for the FA was obtained from the AG and the FA was signed on September 29, The legal opinion of the AG was also received on November 27, 2017 and the FA was made effective on December 8, Bid documents: After several sessions of technical discussions the bid documents are now being finalized. 4. Road Asset Management: The RDA is in the process of operationalizing the Road Asset Management System (RAMS) albeit with some delay. Measures required to populate the system with data are currently being carried out by the planning division. 5. Road Policy Framework: The Bank continues to assist in the development of the road policy which is expected to eventually feed into a broader transport policy. 6. Overall implementation: The implementation of other project components such as the user satisfaction survey is beings carried out and the baseline values for all results indicators of the project has been finalized.
